Pinup in a Pack August 2018 Review

Pinup In a Pack includes a standard itemized statement as well.

White Horn Rimmed Cat Eye Sunglasses — Retail Value Unavailable

These sunglasses are fantastic! I prefer oversized frames because I have a rather full face, so these are rather ideal! I also appreciate that these are a rounder cat eye as well.  These are perfect for summertime, but can be worn into cooler months! Wear these with an oversized black cowl neck sweater, blue jeans, and leopard loafers. That outfit is worth enduring the wrath of Beverly Sutphin if you do opt to wear these after Labor Day!

Beautiful Flower Barrette

Beautiful Flower Barrette — Retail Value Unavailable

We may be heading into crisp fall weather, but why not have a last taste of summer vibes by putting this flower barrette in your hair? I don’t wear pink too often, but even I can appreciate this barrette. This piece is an alligator style clasp and opens and closes rather easily without pulling the hair. I paired this barrette with a fuschia Rebel Wilson X Angels dress from Gwynnie Bee (review coming soon!) for the ultimate never-ending summer look!

Silver Circle Hoop Earrings — Retail Value Unavailable

Aside from the cat-eye sunglasses, this may be my favorite selection in this month's Pinup In a Pack box! I usually go for bigger, far more ostentatious earrings generally. However, these are adorable and I think they are going to become staples in my collection! I love the brush matte finish on these. I find that with shiny finish costume jewelry they tarnish faster, so this is a big plus! In addition, they are so lightweight that I nearly forget I even have them on! These earrings are incredibly versatile; I could wear them with a casual t-shirt and jeans look or a va-va voom dress!

Verdict: Summer is over, but it lives on in this August Pinup In a Pack box! My far and away favorite pieces are the earrings and sunglasses. I will be able to wear both all year which makes them such amazing values! The flower barrette is cute and perfect for Pinup inspired looks, but I won’t get nearly as much wear from it than I will the other items. Overall, I enjoyed the August box and am eager to see the fall inspired selections in next month's Pinup in a Pack box!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, the August box is not available, but you can find similar pieces at Pinup in a Pack. Also, you can sign up for the October box now!

Value Breakdown:  This box is $19.99 and that includes free shipping. Three items are included in each box making their estimated value around $6.66 each. The Pinup in a Pack site features similar cat eye sunglasses starting at $15 a pair like these, similar flower barrettes on sale for $8 like this one, and these bamboo circle hoop earrings for $10. These comparable pieces total to $33 which is $13.01 more than the Pinup In a Pack monthly subscription box fee! All in all, I was able to receive three great pieces for $19.99, a great overall value for me!

I super appreciate the Serial Mom reference, especially since I literally watched it about two weeks. That’s crazy to me! You are my favorite reviewer, by far! I love your style and I have gotten some great outfit ideas from you. The way you can have one seemingly small item in front of you and envision an entire outfit around that one piece is a talent I wish I possessed. I don’t, however, so I rely on people like you!
