PinkSeoul Box October 2018 Review
Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type so be sure to figure out your skin type.
Here is the info sheet detailing the products.
Farmstay Snail Repair Eye Cream, Full-Size! Retail Value $12
This eye cream is made with snail secretions and niacinamide and is designed to both brighten and help with anti-wrinkles. This was gentle and absorbed quickly, and it was very hydrating for the dry skin around my eyes. My main skincare concern is dark circles, and while this was hydrating I still had dark circles while using.
Benton Cacao Moist And Mild Toner, Full-Size! Retail Value $18
This toner is great for all skin types as it is made with cacao extract and hyaluronic acid to nourish skin and calm inflammation, while still being designed to help balance oily skin. The “moist and mild” name is pretty accurate- it didn’t leave my skin feeling tight or stripped of moisture, and it was very gentle!
Elizavecca Aqua Hyaluronic Acid Water Drop Cream, Full-Size! Retail Value $18
Alright, folks, hold on to your wallets—this moisturizer is that good. This is a lightweight moisturizer that melts into the skin almost instantly, and a little goes a long way while leaving my skin hydrated but not greasy. It is made with hyaluronic acid, aloe, and ginseng to both moisturize and soothe, and this cream has taken priority out of all of my other face creams and I now use it every morning for soft, supple, and hydrated skin. Honestly, I think this almost an exact dupe (in both texture and performance) for the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream, which retails for $52 for the same amount of product.
Welcos Kwailnara Cereals Deep Cleanser in Mung Bean, Full-Size! Retail Value $8
This cleanser is designed to provide a deep cleanse with the Mung bean extract detoxifying your pores while still being gentle. This had a light, fruity scent that reminded me of apple, and it was gentle but effective. I am a fan!
I was so excited to see this when I opened the box because I have bought this exact mask from Ulta before! It has a light (but pleasant!) strawberry scent, and the three steps are extremely gentle. If you already have bad blackheads in your nose you probably won’t see the results you want, as this is more for maintaining blackhead-free pores than it is removing them. If you adjust your expectations, however, I think you will be happy with this.
Tony Moly Panda’s Dream Eye Patch – Retail Value $3
Another product I have seen around before! These eye patches are designed to help with under-eye dark circles, and they are designed to make you actually look like a panda! I didn’t really see a change in my (mild) dark circles, but I would buy these again purely for the novelty. These were a little difficult to position properly, too.
Heimish Serum Rouge Lipstick
This is a shiny and hydrating lipstick made with rosehip oil, sunflower seed oil, and brazil nut oil. Because of all that moisture, however, this lipstick isn’t going to last very long.
Here it is swatched below a different lipstick from my Pink Seoul Plus box (review coming soon!). The bright pink shade really is a vivid showstopper.
The Verdict: I think is my favorite box from PinkSeoul yet! While receiving full-size skincare is always fun, the cleanser and moisturizer were big winners for me that are now integrated into my daily routine. It was also a lot of fun to get the eye mask and nose strip, as usually I only get sheet masks. I couldn’t find a value of the lipstick, but the value of everything else in the box adds up to $62.50, which is above the promised value of $60!
The Wrap Up:
