  1. I just got my box today. I don’t think I’m waiting to open all the goodies.

    • Fyi the US box is different than the UK box. I like the UK better seems more of the items I would use like the Huda Palette or candle. No candle or shadow palette, no mascara or blush. There was yet another Invisibobble (don’t use those), a chap stick that burns like heck from Luna by Luna setting powder that was on the December box, lip primer…sorry this is not a comprehensive list but the point is it’s different from the UK. What I don’t use I’ll give away. There are enough things I can use and enjoy.

  2. 48 hour discount for subs is now live 🙂

  3. Discounted pre-sale for subscribers to go live in a couple of hours. $79. Pre-sale good for 48 hours. All per Glossybox Facebook page.

  4. I looked at the site because someone above said it’s posted there, the items are different from the UK box but I don’t know how different it’ll actually be.

Per copy and paste from the site “Then enjoy 25 days of discovering beauty products from incredible brands like @NIP+FAB, @Real Techniques, @Miller Harris, @Absolute NY & @Colorescience & 20 more!”

Also, it’s currently $79usd and then the price goes up to $99 on Oct 22. I’m still contemplating…

    • Oh! And it did say valued at $325

    • I could only find it on their site by searching for “advent”. I can see it, but mine shows it as $99. I am a long time subscriber. Are we supposed to get a discount? I’m waiting on the email!

      • I just got the code “PREADVENT”

      • It was sent to me by email but if I just go to the site, it’s on the home page and scroll down, kinda past the k-beauty box

  5. Does anyone know whether Glossybox will have an Advent Calendar available in the USA? Thanks.

    • I emailed them and they said no but there’s this post so I’m not sure now. I really liked the UK Advent calendar that is on this post and for them it’s like 79 lb if you are a current member. Who knows what they will charge US citizens. If they even offer us a box.

      • Thanks for your reply.

      • Glossybox US site has advent calendars available, at least it did last night. Contents appear to differ from U.K., based on the little information given. $99.

      • Thanks! I just checked. I wonder is current subs can get it at a discount like in the UK. I also wonder if it’s the same items. If so we are actually getting it cheaper than the UK b/c theirs is 99lbs (I don’t know how to get the symbol). Converted that’s like ~$129 for us. So hopeful…

  6. I would love to see a Margot elena advent calendar. I usually wait till after Christmas to but advent calendars. I also love origins after Christmas sales on their holiday kits when they drop the prices drastically. My normally gloomy month of January is especially fun with buying leftovers that did not sell well

  7. Again – a ridiculous price. And more stuff I already have a 2 year supply of.

I’m happy with my $32 Sugarfina advent calendar this year!

    • How much is it? I didn’t see it posted.

      • It’s 99 pounds (UK) so around $130, but that’s if they are charging us the same and if it’s the same items. I think if you are a subscribe you get a decent discount, at least the UK subs did. I think a influencer said it was 79 pounds with sub.

      • Thanks. I think I will be waiting for drastically slashed prices or I will be forgoing them completely this year and just buying individual quality items. I have seen several advent calendars that are so overpriced and with insane inflated rvs that I’m not even willing to pay half. Laughs on them.

      • Check out Shoptagr. I have a bunch of advent calendars on there and when they get discounted I get notified. Not all companies use them but more are added all the time. L’Occitane USA just added them the other day and I have both their advents on there waiting for them to drop.

      • Oh, that looks really need. I added the Chrome extension. Thanks! 🙂

      • I could not find it either nor was it in my email saying they had an advent……

  8. I’ve never had an advent calendar and didn’t know what they were until seeing the give a way here last year. If this one is reasonably priced, I think I will get it for myself and open one a day in December and it will be like a gift to myself, since I am alone and will be a neat pick me up for the holidays and not be so sad. 🙂

    • I decided to splurge on some Drunk Elephant this year instead of the advent calendars. I noticed they have sets on the Sephora site where for a few dollars more than a regular full-sized item you get several decent size deluxe samples of other things.

Price is what’s been keeping me away from DE, but I think that’s actually a pretty good deal. I don’t think that Clinique is overly expensive, for example, and these deals are on par with that.

      • And at least with DE I know it’s quality skincare, whereas with any advent calendar the items are going to be hit or miss.

      • That’s what I did during the last “surprise” Sephora sale a couple of months ago…finally took the plunge and splurged on some DE and full sized Sunday Riley (of items I know I liked because I had gotten sample sizes from regular sub boxes). The only advent calendar I’ve gotten this year has been the Sugarfina one and I bought more than I care to admit last year. But I may just be on sample product overload….

  9. This looks good but have to see how much but I like the assortment!

  10. This is the best one I have seen so far (depending on price). Finally a calendar with several full sizes! I won’t be buying because I am on overload, but it’s a nice one.

  11. I don’t know this, but don’t hold your breath they are the same items. I emailed them and they told me they weren’t even offering the a advent in the US and now they are… Then the UK monthly boxes are never the same as the US so I wouldn’t count on the advent being the same. I hope they are. Eltoria on youtube unboxed it if you want to see it.

  12. Looks like a lot of make up!! Also looks way better than a dept store holiday set

  13. Lovely box!

  14. I think this will be the one advent calendar I chose to get.

  15. Oh, wow, 99 pounds… I am guessing it will be at least $125 USD?

Nah, definitely nothing is calling my name for that kind of price.

    • It should be about that price after conversion, but other UK advents are jacking the price up for US citizens. I am not giving my hopes up.

      • I mean, it’s a nice box actually (if those are the items) – I like how it has a little bit of everything to pamper yourself.

I just can’t justify the expense because I already have so much.

    • How are you even seeing it? It does not show when I log into Glossybox…..

      • I went to the Glossybox UK site.
