The theme for the upcoming GlobeIn November 2018 Box is…Appreciate!

Dear Friends,

The theme of November's new Artisan Box is…. drum roll please… Appreciate! And we think it’s always the season to give a gift that gives back. So whether it be your closest friends, your hardest working colleagues, your child's teacher, or a remote artisan in a village across the globe--we all need a little "thank you" now and then.

And so, I present to you, my idea of the perfect gift. An all-around ethical grab-and-go solution for caring for your loved ones (and the world!). This collection of hand-painted ceramic Rania Mug, handmade Brass Cuff, hand-woven Palm Leaf Basket, upcycled Mini Bone Frame, and to top it off, a delicious Fair Trade Hot Chocolate, (yum!) are sure not to disappoint.

And in the spirit of appreciation, here’s a special thanks from me to you: Thank you for subscribing, and for allowing our team at GlobeIn to do the work we love to do for the world, every day.

Good luck gifting!

Angela

Artisan Box Curator

Bones? What? Whose bones??..

LOL. I’m assuming it’s a Matr Boomie picture frame. They claim the bone is “ethically sourced” so I’m assuming from already dead animals or animals already being killed for another purpose (like food).

That’s actually a pretty common decorative material, and has been for centuries! I quite like that bones from chickens and other animals killed for food (a lot of these items in the modern world are made in India, from chicken bone) get a second life as something beautiful. I have a lovely pair of bone earrings carved into roses. And coasters from a while ago from globe in which are mosaic bone in two colors.

I’ve also made jewelry from bone beads.

Word. Yikes. Thx! Opting out of those matter boomie bones for sure.
