The theme for the upcoming GlobeIn November 2018 Box is…Appreciate!

Dear Friends,

The theme of November's new Artisan Box is…. drum roll please… Appreciate! And we think it’s always the season to give a gift that gives back. So whether it be your closest friends, your hardest working colleagues, your child's teacher, or a remote artisan in a village across the globe--we all need a little "thank you" now and then.

And so, I present to you, my idea of the perfect gift. An all-around ethical grab-and-go solution for caring for your loved ones (and the world!). This collection of hand-painted ceramic Rania Mug, handmade Brass Cuff, hand-woven Palm Leaf Basket, upcycled Mini Bone Frame, and to top it off, a delicious Fair Trade Hot Chocolate, (yum!) are sure not to disappoint.

And in the spirit of appreciation, here’s a special thanks from me to you: Thank you for subscribing, and for allowing our team at GlobeIn to do the work we love to do for the world, every day.

Good luck gifting!

Angela

I’ll likely sub out for a different box than the appreciate one, but they sent me a nice email code to basically resign up for a $20 box, so had to resubscribe! 🙂 Now which box to choose?!

It says there’s a gift if you add $100 worth of items and it’s not the same as last months. Does anyone know what the items are for this month or what last months were? I do have some $ in credits to spend but I wouldn’t go full 100 unless the mystery box is decent. TY

I just got my mystery box (well and my actual bake box too) from last month. It wasn’t a previous box as described, but rather a collection of random items. I got Dryer balls (love those, except I have some already and Mightfix is sending me more this month so a bit much, lol – however the bag they came in can be used as a produce bag!,) a collapsible ‘planter’ that appeared to be an upcycle of trash (kind of interesting but not the most durable); an empty little jewelry bag? It wasn’t drawstring, so I have no idea what it’s for; some multi-colored yarn, and a tiny woven basket in cream and blue; and a tiny painted dish like for putting oil or vinegar in. There wasn’t really a hero item like the normal boxes.

That “gift bag” is some kind of facial scrub thing. It came in an older box but I don’t recall much. If you look for old boxes, maybe you can find an explanation of what it is.

Jennifer

I’ll probably skip this month. Do they allow skipping or will I need to cancel?

Kelly

yes you can skip a month

LB

Yes, you should be able to skip. When the selection window opens, log into your account and go to the page where you normally select theme and add ons. Scroll aaaaaaaallll the way to the bottom and there should be a link to skip the box. It takes you through a couple of pages to make sure you really want to and then you should be set. I have heard some people had problems, though, especially if you try to choose add ons and then skip (because they won’t be able to ship add-ons if you are skipping). But if you run into any issues, just send an email to customer service and they should be able to help clear everything out.

With the exception of the mug (too big) I really like this box. The picture frame is small but very pretty, bracelet looks good and who doesn’t like hot cocoa?

I’m thinking this whole set would make a lovely Christmas gift. Went on the site and there’s a free mug offer today, so I’m contemplating what length subscription to buy.

Lily

I was wondering, since the box has a mug already, does that mean you get a second mug with the code?

T.Marie

I did my sub in 3 month intervals

Julie B.

Yes I was thinking to do that, but will there be a Black Friday offer on this sub?

Michelle

It always looks like the same stuff. How many woven baskets can you use? They are a dime a dozen in Home Goods, TJ Maxx, etc.

T.Marie

I have 5 plus a small one. I think I need to quit while I’m ahead

The baskets are actually really popular. You can use them for storage or for gift giving. There a lot of uses for them. If you are part of their Maven group you can check out all the creative ideas and uses for them. =)

T.Marie

Not impressed. How does this fit the theme, and the cuff is not even flowing with the other items.

Shana

The theme is appreciate. All the items can be gifted to someone or a few people who you appreciate in your life. They are thoughtful items. I personally love everything and when I saw them thought I have a person for each of those items with the holidays coming up that would love and appreciate these little gifts.

I’m glad you ladies will be able to gift these items. I’ve been a subscriber for over a year and I’ve already given a bunch of stuff from them as gifts (I’ve even put stuff away for when I remarry). I love that they support independence for people who are trying to support their families. Vilma was just in Mexico checking up on things. The customer service is top notch! Not something I’ve found with these other boxes lately! I just got my August Allure lol

LB

My guess from the description is that they consider it a bundle of items you can keep together to gift (as a variety of items for an introduction to fair trade) or even break apart and gift to different people – mug and hot chocolate to one person, frame with picture to another, and cuff to a third? And someone gets the basket as a bonus gift wrap?
