Diamond Crate By Sports Crate Celebration Box Review

This box came with a small info card to detail the products included.

Anatomy of a Swing Longball Tee -

Anatomy of a Swing Longball Tee -  Estimated Value $14.99 (based on other tees sold by Sports Crate here)

Sports Crate makes the softest shirts, and this one is no exception. I like that it is black, but I am not the biggest fan of the anatomy design of what the human body does to hit a home run. When I was a junior in high school, the day after my horse unexpectedly died, I went to the Body World exhibit on a field trip with my science class. Everything was neat until I walked into the video that showed a dead, skinless human being put on a dead, skinless horse for one of the exhibits. I had nightmares for weeks, and even though this tee isn't an exact anatomically correct depiction, I can't get the unfortunate memory out of my head. I imagine anyone who appreciates science will be a fan of this shirt, but I wish the phrase "How 2 Go Longball" was a bit more grammatically correct.

Lil’ Teammates Arizona Diamondback Hitter

Lil’ Teammates Arizona Diamondback Hitter – Estimated Value $7.99 (based on similar items here)

I am not usually one for collectible figurines but this little guy really is a cutie! Coming in at about 3 inches tall, this unnamed batter reminds me of David Peralta. I do have a Jake Lamb bobblehead, and I think this guy will go great hanging out there.

PKWY Diamondbacks Crew Socks – Estimated Value $8.33  (buy this pair in a 3-pack for $24.99)

These black and red DBacks crew-length dual-knit socks are part polyester, part cotton, and I found them to be stretchy and comfortable. Now that the Louisiana heat is starting to marginally cool off, my toes are getting cold when they walk around my wood floors! These are the perfect counter to that, and I can relax in them while supporting my favorite team that will almost assuredly not make the playoffs this year.

Sports Crate Keyring

To round out the box we have this keyring that shows a hand gripping a baseball with the DBacks logo on it. The rubber attachment is a little bigger than a half-dollar, so it should be easy to find my keys in my purse with this attached!

The Verdict: Honestly, I was so surprised that my crate arrived so soon after my (very, very late) last one! Sports Crate did mention on social media that they were working to ship the boxes out more timely, and I am impressed that they actually managed to do so. Even if I am not a personal fan of the t-shirt design, it is super comfortable and I don’t have to look at the design when I am wearing it so it is definitely going into my comfy shirt rotation. I thought the socks, key ring, and lil’ teammate rounded out the box nicely, though I do think the overall value is below the promised value of $50. That being said, if I walked into the D-backs team shop today I would be hard pressed to walk out with a t-shirt for under $30, let alone three other items. Getting a box of officially licensed team merchandise for $29.99, including free shipping, is still a good deal that I am happy with, and if they can keep up with timely shipping I will be very happy.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? I do believe they are still shipping the Longball Box!

LIMITED TIME DEAL: Use code SPORTSCRATE30 to save 30% all Sports Crates!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $29.99 + free shipping, which means that each of the 4 items in the box has an average cost of $7.50.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

I was very disappointed in this latest box. It seemed to be curated for a young child. Thinking about stopping. The variety and/or quality just isn’t very good lately. I’m not even sure where I would address my disappointment to the company. Ugh.

I would like to get this for hubby again but they were always late on shipping and I started to get suspicious and cancelled. But I see it’s still around and if shipping is getting better then I might have to give it another try. Hubby really enjoyed the boxes he did receive.
