Sephora Play #715:
Marc Jacobs Shameless Foundation in Medium
Too Faced Hangover Primer
Sephora Lashcraft Big Volume Mascara
Boscia Cactus Water
Ole Henriksen Truth Serum
Philosophy Amazing Grace Perfume

The serum and the Boscia moisturizer are decent sizes. Not thrilled about the Too Faced primer (I bought one from Ulta and I don’t like it much, I prefer Dermalogica) and I don’t care much about Marc Jacobs’ foundation (I use Lancome). I won’t complain much, though, I think it is good enough for a $10 subscription…

Can someone please tell me how they find out what number their box is? I cannot figure it out

Any news on box 715?

Box #723 anyone?

Reply ButtonReply

Emmy Burgan

I’m getting 723! No idea what’s in it though. My profile is fair skin. I changed it a couple months ago because I kept getting volumizing hair products for my wavy hair. So I’m not sure what else I have in there at this point hah.

Retpunzel

Nice, me too! Fair skin/wavy/curly hair. I don’t know how long until I’ll get to find out now, the post offices are closed for the hurricane (Coastal SC here). Please let me know what you get!

I have box 772 coming. Anyone else?

Reply ButtonReply

hanna

Reply ButtonReply

Catherine King

Update: the “bag” is gonna be thin plastic one. The one you would toss…

Reply ButtonReply

Drminniecooper

Is it like the clear plastic bag with red writing that they sent one month last year? Because I liked that bag and still use it for travel since it’s quite sturdy and see through. Would love to have another of that style bag. If its thinner than the previous plastic bag, i might not be able to reuse it though.

Have any of you seen Sephora’s instagram that shows the September box? It shows the new bag too. If you haven’t: https://www.instagram.com/p/BnWNTBznPts/?taken-by=sephora

It shows some samples that may show up in some of the boxes or at least I hope so! I’ve been wanting to try that Too Faced Primer.

According to a post from Sephora (as published in the Beauty Insider Community under the group Play! by Sephora) there will become available on Saturday September 8th. Hope this helps!

Jamie

And we all know the nudestix will be nothing but a tiny nubbin of a thing lol

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda

The ones I’ve received from Sephora play and other sub boxes have always been a great size and have lasted forever. Still have them.

Reply ButtonReply

Cookie

Last time they sent a Nudestix product it was a decent size. Just the color was not good for anybody.

Reply ButtonReply

Angie

those nudesticks are great give them a try you will be amazed

Reply ButtonReply

Jamie

If i knew I would get the O.H. I would sign up again, but I’m not up for multi use stick products. I just don’t like them. The cactus stuff seems like it might be sticky/leave a sticky residue behind and with only a 1 out of 3 chance of getting what I want and play not playing well with my profile these last few months I’m not even willing to risk my $10.

Reply ButtonReply

SP

I feel ya Jamie! I canceled not bc the sub is bad, but bc my FOMO was- I’d see spoilers and there’d be a “box” version most suitable for my profile, but I’d get a different one that wasn’t. I’m over it.

Reply ButtonReply

missann

I have several of those OH serums and I can’t use them. You can have mine. missannmcd@gmaildotcom

Reply ButtonReply

Jenn

I’d like any one of those spoilers! Also, I’m stoked to hear they’re trying a new bag design. I’d be happy just getting an additional sample and skip the bag altogether, but I know some people really like getting the bag.

I do hope Sephora steps up their hair product game if they’re going to continue to focus more on haircare than fragrance samples. My dark, coarse, thick hair does not need texturizer, volumizer, or shampoos for blondes…which is what I’ve gotten. Can we please get some leave in conditioners, smoothing creams, and shampoos for dark hair? The hair products Sephora is giving out seem to be geared toward one specific hair type (ie. Blonde, thin/fine, Caucasian).

Reply ButtonReply

Molly

Ugh I have fine, oily hair and I feel like all I get is hair masks and leave in conditioners which are a nightmare. What I wouldn’t give for a volumizer or dry shampoo! I swear, some months it feels like they went out of their way to give me the exact opposite of my profile.

Reply ButtonReply

MargeW

Mine is cut to about 2” long, oily, straight, and I keep it that way so I can wash and go. They keep sending all these hair products for beach waves and conditioners. Driving me nuts.

Kearstin

Jenn~

I agree! The blonde shampoo felt like an insult last month but I’m seeing if this month is redeeming. I’m tired of hair and skin products that there is no way I’ll be able to use them 😕

Reply ButtonReply

Sarah Beth

I’ve gotten a ton of styling creams in my box, one in the last 4/5 boxes. I’d prefer something else so idk rhyme or reason why you arent getting them but i am. check you preferences?

Reply ButtonReply

Dea

The Truth Serum is an awesome product, and smells wonderful too!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Arden

Love it myself!

Reply ButtonReply

Anieke

If you log into your Sephora app and click on the order details for Sephora play on the picture you will see how the bag gonna look like. It is reddish with white and says play in the middle

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

Tempting – I’d be good with any of those options! If I hadn’t just signed up for three new beauty subs I don’t need, lol…

Well, I guess I have a few days to decide!

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer A Vaughn

Can you still sign up for september?

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

Yes, you have until the 10th to sign up!

I truly Love Sephora Play Box. I wish they will make a Luxe box it will be so worth it.

Every item i receive is a name brand and items that I want to test before i purchase the full size.

Love me Some @Sephora Play Box

Reply ButtonReply

MargeW

They did a luxe box that had some really high end stuff—La Mer, SKII, etc. the samples were fingernail sized. And the Atelier perfume spray smelled like dirt. The rollup bag was nice. But $25 for a nice rollup bag and tiny samples just wasn’t worth it to me.

Reply ButtonReply

Pink5

They do one a couple times a year.

Keep an eye peeled.

Reply ButtonReply

Lawna

I would prefer cactus watwr but the Nude Stix is okay. Please no serum though!

Thanks, this sounds great, maybe I will grab one!

Reply ButtonReply

Cookie

I’d be ok with any of these. The serum is my fave, I’d like to try the Boscia and the last Nudestix they sent was great but the color was terrible. This color looks way better.

Reply ButtonReply

Christy

Kiss is their best selling color and it’s absolutely gorgeous

Reply ButtonReply

Marilyn

recyclable like reusable or biodegradable?

Like throw away type…
