mintMONGOOSE August 2018 Review

This month, I received a matching necklace and earring set and a bracelet. Let’s take a look!

But first, let’s look at the options for customization:

You can pick your preferred jewelry tone. I chose “Surprise me!”

Then you choose earrings or no earrings. My ears are pierced, so I chose “Earrings.”

Next, you choose if you want watches to be included or not. I don’t really need any more watches, so I chose “No Watches.”

A little thank you card with a reminder to post pics of your jewelry.

Rhinestone Necklace

Dainty and sparkly, this necklace has a silver chain and a smokey gray rhinestone pendant. It’s the perfect length for v-neck shirts and has an extender so the length can be adjusted slightly.

Rhinestone Earrings

These little studs match the necklace and are a great size. The wide backs make them comfortable to wear and they feel secure.

Adjustable Beaded Bracelet

Cream and tan silky cord are accented with 4 cream colored beads on this bracelet. The sliding knots allow you to easily adjust the width to fit your wrist and make sliding this on and off a breeze.

The Verdict: I think the styles included this month are simple, basic, and could work with most people’s style. They didn’t excite me but I think the quality is good for a $15.70 jewelry subscription ($12 a month plus $3.70 shipping). While last month’s jewelry had a youthful feel, this month seemed much more classic. I’m interested to see which direction they go next month.

Tiffany, you have this jewelry set listed on your swap page as being NEW but you’re clearly wearing it in your review. How on earth can you possibly think that’s acceptable?

Hi, Amber. I understand your concern. For this particular jewelry, I ended up with duplicates and felt like swapping the extra set, which is unworn.

I think that perhaps you should explain things like this in your listings. These pieces of jewelry are not the only pieces you’ve listed as new, when you’re wearing them not only in your review, but in the photo for the listing.
