LoveLula Beauty Box August 2018 Review
This month’s box features 2 full-size, 3 deluxe sizes, and 1 packet sample.
Each box comes with a card detailing the brands and products included plus a 20% off code to use towards purchasing products from the included brands. There’s also some info about the LoveLula Natural Beauty Club.
MADARA AHA Peel Mask, 60ml/2oz – Retail Value $31.50
So, I typically use an AHA lotion every day, but every once in a while I notice more dullness and flakiness on my skin. This is a great solution. Once a week, you apply this like a mask and leave it on your skin for about 8-10 minutes. I don’t notice much immediately but within 2 days I saw some extra peeling and dryness. After another day or two, that dead top layer had been exfoliated and new, bright skin is revealed. After a couple of weekly treatments, you might not even notice the peeling anymore. Hold off if you have broken skin though because the lactic acid can sting.
BOWE ORGANICS Lash Oil, 10ml – Retail Value $25.63
I’ve been hoping to receive an eyelash-specific product for a while now. This lash oil is packed with organic rosehip, castor, and jojoba oils and vitamin E (some of the most-loved ingredients for hair growth). It is an extra step in my nighttime routine, but I actually enjoy massaging the oil into my tired eyes. It leaves my lashes and brows feeling supple and the dry skin around my eyes nourished. I also like that the dropper style bottle keeps the product free bacteria transferred by touching an applicator.
PURE & LIGHT Revitalising Facial Exfoliation, 15ml – Retail Value $10.77 (Buy 50ml for $35.90)
This exfoliator is not what you’d expect. There is no scrubby feeling but rather a creamy, non-sudsing formula with very gentle particles that melt away as you scrub. It leaves my skin feeling fresh, plumped, and not stripped. The full-size comes in an airless pump to help maintain freshness for all of the natural ingredients.
The main gist of these products is that they support a healthy bacteria balance on your skin with prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics. The face cream has the slight scent of gingerbread and the hand cream the scent of clean florals. These are not quite rich enough for my super dry skin but I’m glad that the samples are large enough to have used a couple of times. If you have combo/dry skin, you might like the face cream. It provides hydration and a really nice, smooth base for makeup.
KIMBERLY SAYER Ultra Light Facial Moisturizer SPF30, 1.5ml sample – Retail Value $0.45 (Buy 4oz/120ml for $35.92)
I’m super impressed by this product. I got about 3 days out of this foil packet and am seriously considering buying this as my daily SPF. The formula is lightweight and goes on white but sinks in super fast without any white cast. It feels great on my skin and has a nice, refreshing citrus scent. I didn’t notice any clogged pores or burning eyelids either. The price for the full size isn’t bad either.
The Verdict: At first, I wasn’t very excited about this LoveLula Beauty Box, but it turned out to be good. All of the full-sized products are great for my skin and the samples helped me to decide to purchase (or not) new products. I like knowing that every product from LoveLula is ingredient conscious and comes from brands that are environmentally and socially responsible. It is also very easy to look up the ingredients on the site. This box has a value of $77.88 plus free shipping which I think is a decent value for a cost of just under $25. Though being outside of the UK makes this box a little more costly, I think you are paying for a curation of products that are rigorously vetted for their effectiveness, sustainability, quality, and policies against animal testing.
The Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, if you sign up today your first box will be the October box.

- BOWE ORGANICS Lash Oil – $8.17
