Laserbrain Patch Co September 2018 “Into The Wild” Review

The information card contains a further look into the theme of the month, the package value as well as information on the artist of each custom item. They include the artist’s Instagram as well!

Coloring Page

On the backside of the information card, there is a coloring page. This month is designed by James Wulfe (@jmwulfe), the same artist who designed the patch. It is beautiful with a poignant quote by John Muir, “Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.”

Jumbo Patch – Listed Value $12

This patch of howling wolves as the sun sets was designed by tattoo artists, Stina Sardinha Wulfe (@teawulfe) and James Wulfe (@jmwulfe). They are the curators of Laserbrain Patch Co. It is approximately 5” and will look great on the back of a vintage army jacket I own.

Enamel Pin – Listed Value $10

This pin depicting a basecamp was designed by Sugar3 Studios (@sugarcubedstudios). I love that the size is a bit larger, about 1 ½”. This will immediately be placed on my hiking backpack!

Anodized Metal Reusable Straw

Anodized Metal Reusable Straw – Listed Value $3

This is my favorite item of the package! Part of preserving the beauty of nature is using less plastic. Pass on the plastic straws with this reusable metal straw. It can be easily carried around in your handbag, car, backpack, etc.

The Verdict: Laserbrain Patch Co.’s “Into the Wild” theme was a hit with me! I appreciated how they included an element of sustainability with the metal reusable straw. I did not expect this! The $16.00 price ($12.50 a month + $3.50 US shipping) is more than fair as you are receiving custom work from talented artists. This month’s listed value totals $25.00.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, but order now to receive October (the theme is “Nightmare Before Christmas“).

Billing is on the last day of the month. Shipping is usually 16-20th. If you order on the 16th or before, you’ll receive the current month’s package and be charged on the last day of the month for your next package.  If you order after that, you will not be charged again at the end of the month, and your package will ship the next month.

Coupon – Use code SUBADDICT to save $2 off your first month!

Value Breakdown: At $16.00 ($12.50 + $3.50 shipping) for this box, you are paying approximately $5.33 for each of the 3 items (not counting the coloring page).

  1. Welcome! Great review. I love putting patches and pins on my denim jacket. Going to look into this subscription. I like the metal straw too.

    • Thank you Susie! I agree with you on the jacket. I recently purchased a vintage army jacket and am currently filling it with patches. I think this jumbo patch will be perfect to place on the center back! The metal straw is awesome, I keep it in my purse to use whenever I need 🙂
