World of Wizardry August 2018 Pudding

World of Wizardry August 2018 Sherbet lemon

Recipes: Petunia’s Pudding and Sherbet Lemons

Two servings of sweet this month - candy and pudding! “Aunt Petunia’s masterpiece of a pudding, the mountain of cream and sugared violets, was floating up near the ceiling. On top of a cupboard in the corner crouched Dobby…” One of the best scenes in the early books involves this tragic dinner party and the beloved house elf. Let’s just hope when I make this recipe, no one will come through and ruin it!

World of Wizardry August 2018 socks pkg World of Wizardry August 2018 socks out

Exclusive Wizardry Knee High Socks - Listed Price $15.77

These socks invoke Gryffindor pride with the red and gold colors, but the items in the pattern will speak to all wizards; I see Dark Marks, glasses, and owl cage, a stag that I assume is a Patronus and wands; and of course - lots of lightning bolts! The socks are soft and I like that they’re knee-height; they’ll be great with tall boots this fall.

World of Wizardry August 2018 pin pkg World of Wizardry August 2018 pin out World of Wizardry August 2018 pin back

Exclusive House Books Pin - Listed Price $10.51

This is such a clever incorporation of my chosen house! Each of these has the different house scarves on top; I, of course, received Ravenclaw’s, with the traditional blue and bronze colors from the books (Ravenclaw house colors are blue and silver in the movies). And look at that spelling on “Defence” - so cool that it’s the British version!

World of Wizardry August 2018 Bracelet pkg World of Wizardry August 2018 bracelet out

Harry Potter House Bracelet - Listed Price $9.19

Every time I see a younger person, they’re wearing an armful of bracelets - it reminds me of when I was younger! These alphabet bracelets were so popular when I was growing up, and I like the inclusion of the house crest, as well as the movie house colors (blue and silver, as previously discussed!).

Exclusive Harry Potter Four Print Set - Listed Price $19.72

Dear readers - I think I hit the motherlode! These posters are so awesome because they’re so immersed in the fandom itself  - they’re presented from the wizarding world without branding or any elements to take you out of the story. My favorite is the one advertising the Quidditch World Cup; I’ve had my eye on that one in particular, but all four of them will definitely be going on the wall in my guest room, for sure!

Exclusive Magic & Spells T-Shirt - Listed Price $13.14

It doesn’t happen every month, but every once in a while these T-shirts are just a little badass! I love the strong design on this and the four elements of magic they chose. This a great example of a double-take fandom item; some people might get it, but others might not - and might take a second look!

World of Wizardry August 2018 Brothers shirt World of Wizardry August 2018 Brothers shirt close

Exclusive Three Brothers T-Shirt - Listed Price $13.14

One of the most beautiful elements of the entire movie series is the story of The Three Brothers, told by Hermione and illustrated in the style of a carousel lamp. It’s mesmerizing, and one of my favorite visual elements of the film. Using this for a shirt is brilliant! I love the design as well as the yellow ink - the only thing that would make this shirt perfect is if it were black.

Verdict: I was very happy with the box this month! I think two T-shirts added a lot of value, and the socks and bracelet are things that I can wear regularly to show off my fandom loyalty. I love, love, loved the poster set - they’re going on the wall immediately, and that little pin is so cute - the perfect addition to my fleece jacket for fall!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, order by 10/20 to receive the October box.
