Bulu Box Weight Loss September 2018 Review

There are box variations, and sometimes rather heavy product promotion, so you may not always get the same box as someone else or be able to make the connection to weight loss for each product:

The information cards are now generic rather than describing your items.

There was also some product literature for MD Logic.

Bulu Box Weight Loss September 2018 Lipo6

Nutrex Lipo6 Black Intense, 1 count – Buy 60 capsules for $41.97 (found on sale here for $39.87)

I also received this back in April and my opinion hasn’t changed. Here is what I said then:

This honestly terrifies me. You should read the warning label: “Do not consume synephrine, yohimbine, caffeine, or thyroid-boosting compounds from other sources, including but not limited to, coffee, tea, soda and other dietary supplements or medications containing phenylephrine or caffeine or any stimulants whatsoever.” Side effects can include rapid heartbeat, dizziness, severe headaches, and shortness of breath. Also: “This product contains ingredients that may be banned by some sports organizations.” And that’s just a selection of the warnings. Anyway, this is a fat burning product but you have to also exercise and eat better to see weight loss. I am unwilling to give up tea and soda and I don’t need to burn fat right now so this is not a good fit for me (it does appear to be vegetarian, though).

Bulu Box Weight Loss September 2018 Oil

Exsens Carnelian Apricot Massage Oil Sample – Buy 100 mL for $32

I thought this smelled all right, it wasn’t really enough to use as a massage oil but that is probably OK. Since my skin is so dry, it soaked this right up (I just put it on my hands, which were about the right size for the amount in the packet). This is also marketed as a body oil or moisturizer. This has chunks of carnelian in the bottom in the full size bottle but I don’t see the purpose of that from a scientific standpoint. That being said, I’d almost go ahead and buy the Amethyst Sweet Almond variety anyway just because I like the scent of almond extract so much.

Bulu Box Weight Loss September 2018 Flax

Manitoba Milling Co. Ground Flax Sample – Buy 16 oz for $12.99 (found on sale here for $12.34)

I like to add some seeds (chia, hemp, or flax) to my morning smoothies and this was nicely milled so there weren’t any chunks later on. Honestly, the price is pretty good for ground seeds like this, as well. Flax has ALA, which is an omega 3 fatty acid (though not the best form to consume as it is only inefficiently converted by the body to the active DHA and EPA).

This product was also in the regular Bulu Box this month.

Bulu Box Weight Loss September 2018 Lozenges 1 Bulu Box Weight Loss September 2018 Lozenges 2

Vicks Vapocool Severe in Winterfrost, 18 lozenges – Buy 45 drops for $3.87

I can’t say whether these work or don’t work because I don’t have a cold, sore through, scratchy throat, etc. right now and neither does my husband. It’s a little weird to get cold medicine at this time of year (it is 88 degrees today where I am!). However, I guess I will have these around when I need them, and this is a generous sample size – definitely enough to tell if they work and also to see if I can tolerate the higher level of menthol in these as compared to the product I was using before when the time comes.

This product was also in the regular Bulu Box this month.

Bulu Box Weight Loss September 2018 Nasopure

Nasopure Nasal Wash, (bottle + premixed salt packets) – Buy 1 bottle and 20 salt packets for $12.95

I already use a similar product almost every day so I was happy to see this. You are supposed to replace your nasal rinse bottles every 90 days or so and it was about time for a new one for me. This is a little different from what I am used to because you hold the bottle differently and the part that touches your nose is also changed compared to my current product. I can see how this bottle design allows you to get every last bit of water out, which is actually an improvement over what I use right now. I found the experience otherwise quite similar to other nasal rinses I’ve done. (I have bad allergies all year so I use something like this on most days.) Anyway, this is probably the most useful item for me from this box, at least at this time of year.

Verdict: There were five samples this month. If you paid full price for this subscription, you paid about $2 each. Various other deals are possible, depending on the coupon code you use at sign-up, so your cost could be less. I was pleased that there were a few vegetarian supplements this month, but I would not count on receiving vegetarian or vegan samples every month. I was also pleased to see a sample that directly relates to weight loss as sometimes it is hard to relate the box contents to that goal. However, my favorite item (the nasal rinse bottle) had nothing to do with weight loss.

I’d strongly recommend using our MYSUB799 coupon code when you subscribe and choosing either the regular or the weight loss box, but not both since there is a lot of product repetition between the two. (In fact, this month’s Bulu Box Weight Loss version had four overlapping products with the regular Bulu Box.) Please also note that instead of getting points you can redeem for merchandise if you review your samples, now you get sweepstakes entries, which isn’t as good of a deal (unless you are the winner…). It’s partly because they stopped selling most of the samples in their shop and instead send you to Amazon (with a referral link).

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, October would be your first shipment. Also, keep in mind that there are variations in the boxes, so your box might not be exactly like mine in any given month.

Coupon – Use our coupon code MYSUB799 to get your subscription at $7.99 per month, for the lifetime of the subscription!

Value Breakdown: This box has various prices depending on the promotion you used when you signed up. Subscribers at full price are paying about $2 per sample.
