I have soooo much skin and hair product inventory, it’s getting a little ridiculous! The last thing I need is a new cleanser, but I’m still excited! I have so many cleansers that I wash my face without fail twice a day (it used to really only be at night when I took my make-up off – in the am I would just rinse in the shower, but now I use a gentle cleanser in the AM).
I’ve never been so clean, soft and smooth, and smelled so good! My bedtime routine is spa baths almost nightly now (where I’ve used up to 14 products in one routine!!! Dr. Teals bath foam every time in the tub, and then soap for the privates, body scrub and the shower gel for the rest. Then there’s the face cleanser, mask, bha or aha, eye cream/serum, moisturizer for the face. Hair gets a shampoo, conditioner/mask and then detangler/leave-in, and the grand finale is body butter). I rotate all of my current products – most of which are travel size (and some full size) that I received in beauty boxes.
Storage has become a challenge, so I bought a behind the toilet storage rack thing, and now store my ‘extras’ in baskets there. The extras are brand new and unopened, so they have a longer shelf life. They’re also easy to see into, so I don’t forget I have something before it expires (this has happened to me before).
I am pretty sure I have a lot of unopened product (esp. hair) beyond the 2 year mark. No SPF or serums, but some creams and toners. I wish everything came with a manufacture date on it, so you don’t have to try to look it up.
Regarding your spoons: I’d put your little spoons in a tiny flip-top container, to keep out the dust and dirt. I’ve seen little flip top bill boxes on Wish that could be big enough.
I’d love to see people’s storage ideas. I’m sure a lot of us are in the same product overload situation – and need good ideas to keep skin care products on a regular rotation – and not open them until they will be used up within 6-12 months.
