Now, on to the items!

Laura Geller Pout Perfection Waterproof Lip Liner in Nude – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $18

(Subscribers will either receive this shade or Spice)

This lip pencil has more of a crayon feel, and it is well pigmented with a matte finish. It is pretty much the exact color of my lips, so it works for a no-makeup look for me, but I usually prefer giving my lips some color.

Here it is swatched:

Harry Josh Pro Tools Mini Detangling Brush – Retail Value $12

This mini brush is great for travel (and I like the mint + black Harry Josh color scheme, too.)

Murad Nutrient Charged Water Gel – .25 oz Value $8.82

This water gel feels amazing on my skin! It’s designed to hydrate and plump skin, and it’s oil-free, too.

VENeffect Micro-Exfoliant – .34 oz Value $6

This is a very fine exfoliant – very similar to the next exfoliant, actually! I found it to be pretty gentle, too.

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $79

If you aren’t familiar with this exfoliator, it’s a highly-rated cult favorite beauty product! The formula is an ultra-fine scrub you can use 1-2 times a week. I love the minty fresh scent, and how smooth it makes my skin feel. (I’ve seen a lot of reviewers mention it helped them with whiteheads/acne, etc.)

Dermalogica Rapid Reveal Peel – .1 oz Value $8.50

This is a brand new release from Dermalogica!

This peel formula includes phytoactive AHA extracts, Lactic Acid, and fermented plant enzymes. It’s designed to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and firm and renew skin. This sample is one treatment, (the full size includes 10 treatments).

I could instantly feel smoother skin after removing this, and I love that it didn’t irritate my skin at all.

Juice Beauty Green Apple Cleansing Bar – 1.2 oz Value $3

This soap has the signature green apple scent (which I love), but it’s very subdued. It provided a nice lather, but I found that it did dry my skin out a bit.

Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Blackberry – 5 ml Value $6.33

In case it isn’t clear from the picture, this is larger than the typical perfume sample! And the Vanilla Blackberry name describes this scent perfectly – it’s sweet and fruity.

SKYN Iceland Blemish Dots (1 Sheet, 12 patches) – Value $5

This blemish dots are clear gel stickers that allow you to target individual blemishes to reduce redness and inflammation. You can wear them for a few hours or even overnight. They are free of any ingredients you might want to avoid (parabens, etc.) and they didn’t irritate my skin.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $146.55! That’s an incredible value for a $24.95 box! I love the brands included in the box, and I feel like BeautyFix delivered again on quality skincare.

  1. If I order Septembers using the $5 off, will I have time to cancel before they charge for Octobers? When do they usually charge and ship out each month? I would like to get the better price, but wondering if I might be better off just buying the one time even though it’s $15 more.

  2. Anyone have the code on the back of the insert? I apparently threw mine away.

      • Thank you!

  3. Hands down, my favorite sub! I had it back in 2015 and came back to it in August and I’m so glad I did.

The Detangling Brush is the best one I’ve ever used. I have extremely long, thick hair, that has recently been lightened, so it tangles super easily. The brush will take out all of the tangles with ease and pain free. I can even use it in the shower to help with conditioning.

I was super excited to get a full size Dr Brandt’s Microdermabrasion, because I’ve always loved the samples I’ve received in the past with other subs. It is great to use once or twice a week and I’ve also used it as a lip scrub. It’s never upset my sensitive skin.

Loved everything about this box. Can’t wait to get the October box!

    • Hi Karen, have your used Wet Brush before and do you think Harry Josh is better? I am still undecided about this box… .

      • I have never tried one of the Wet Brush brushes, I have a similar brand brush, but it still doesn’t go through my hair as well as the Harry Josh one for detangling. I do use my other brush to soften my hair a bit more and add more shine.

      • Karen, thank you for your response. I guess I will try the brush!

  4. I’m so glad you posted this!!! I had forgotten I meant to subscribe to this box for September. I just now subscribed. The Dr. Brandt microdermabrasion is awesome but I can’t bring myself to spend $80 for it. I’ll pay $25 in a heartbeat. (Actually $20 with the new subscriber discount!) I already like the Murad moisturizer and my teenage daughter loves those blemish dots. I’m looking forward to trying everything else too. Thanks again Liz, I love this site!!!

  5. The brush is amazing! I may have to get the full size. It can get through my tangles easily without having to yank my hair out, and it gets through my toddler’s tangles, too! For a couple days after I used it on her everyone kept asking if she’d just had a bath, lol, since her curls were finally laying right and smooth. They should seriously think about marketing a line of those brushes to mom’s with toddler’s. I might start getting them as baby shower gifts. Since I usually buy cheap drugstore brushes and use them until they fall apart, it was really nice to see that a quality brush can make a huge difference.

  6. That brush is amazing! It tackled my daughter’s fine, curly, easily tangled hair with ease, and it was the first time I brushed her hair without her complaining. And I love the perfume. It’s one I can see buying once the sample is used up. Most perfumes are too overpowering for me.

  7. This month was my 1st month with this sub and I was amazed!! This is the perfect skincare box with a couple bonuses of makeup too!! Its exactly the sub I needed to compliment my makeup subs! Thank you Dermstore!

  8. I loved this month’s box, and that perfume is wonderful. I’m usually more of a patchouli gal, but yum! Smells so fresh and fruity. I may buy the full size.

    • I absolutely loved the perfume as well and I also am a patchouli type of girl, Beautyfix is my favorite monthly subscription of all and I get over 17 of them that says alot so thanks and keepem coming beautyfix #4themovement

      • I love patchouli and am looking for a good fall scent do either of you have an recommendations?

  9. Love everything in this box! I gave the Murad and blemish dots to my teen son. He wanted the brush too but I can’t part with it. It’s a great brush for my thick, wavy hair. I even like the perfume and I never like perfume!

    • I will be giving the blemish dots to my teen son as well. If I need one I will just borrow (take) one from him. Good call on the Murad I will pass that along as well. I had previously purchased for him a face cleanser and I gave him a Foreo Luna from another box. Boys want their skin to look good too.

  10. Loved this box!!! Loving the exfoliating on my skin!! The Dr. Brandts is wonderful….not harsh at all…and left my face soft and very clean feeling! It did have quite a good amount of air in the tube though…especially to be a full size. Love the brush! The skin acne dots I really havent been able to tell any difference with, but have been wanting to try some…so happy I received them in the box! Overall very happy and looking forward to next months box!!

  11. Yeah I’ll be resubbing for October!

    • The spoilers aren’t out yet for October.

  12. I would use everything in this box! Wish I had subscribed!

    • It’s not too late. September’s box should be available all month. This was a great month and worth almost 6x it’s cost!

      • Oooh! Thank you!

      • You are very welcome!
