I’m still waiting on my first box, do they normally send an email when it ships? I sent them a dm on instagram and I never got a reply, that was 2 weeks ago

Lisa

I wonder when we’ll see the rest of the spoilers. It’s been 5 days since this post.

Shari

Yes, I am loving this box, love me some good skincare. I am dying to know the next spoilers for this box.

Reply ButtonReply

Nikki

Pretty sure it’s the YSL liquid lip and hourglass mascara. 😉

Reply ButtonReply

Jennie

I really hope there’s something full size in the October box because even though I’m happy about the Sunday Riley samples, they are painfully small.

Reply ButtonReply

Megan

Yes I agree, that’s the main reason I signed up. Because of the usual 1 to 2 full size products per month. If October let’s me down, then I’m cancelling.

Reply ButtonReply

AmyM

I usually roll with the punches where boxes are concerned. But I am fit to be tied! I signed up in mid-August from an email I received with $5 off and free beauty bundle. I anticipated my first box would be September. I was billed this week for the full amount (no $5 off), and today I received the garbage August box with a melted Juice Beauty eye crayon as an extra. NO beauty bundle in sight. I am canceling, disputing the charge and raising a stink with Allure.

Aria

I am similarly not too interested in September, but REALLY digging the October box–but as a not-yet subscriber, I’m wondering if it would be worth signing up now to get the La Mer sample sample.

Do we have any indication if the current promo will continue into October? I’d sign up now to get it if it’s likely to be pulled before the end of the month, but I’d rather rather sign up on October 1 so I can skip the September box but still get the La Mer sample and October box.

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda

I was debating that exact same thing. Wonder how big the La Mer sample is?

Reply ButtonReply

Sammee

It’s tiny. A previous spoiler said that it was a three day sample.

Cyndi

I am so looking forward to October that I ordered September (meh, to me) to make sure I don’t miss it.

Reply ButtonReply

tammy g.

I do not like September box allure, I don’t do false eyelashes, and I hope I don’t get red lipstick….oh well…

Reply ButtonReply

Charlotte

I was initially disappointed by what a puny sample of Good Genes we were getting, but the rest of October looks SO GOOD.

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

I just signed up through Amazon. I put off signing up because I hate skin care and would be bummed to get even full size intoxicated elephant . But I did like some other goodies in box. Then I got idea to just send the skin care to my mom in goodie bag for Christmas and birthday . Then I will keep hair products and make up. Win win!!

dosia

It’s shaping up to be an awesome box and likely 6 items! That’s fantastic. Can’t wait for the November though. Honestly, all of the months are fabulous now after the August disaster. I was not impressed

Reply ButtonReply

Kat

August was a disaster ? ? I mean a 15 dollar and 10 to some box can not b a disaster. Sometimes we will like the boxes some we won’t but disaster is a bit dramatic. 😂🙄

Reply ButtonReply

dosia

I cheap shampoo and conditioner travel size bottles are a “disaster” in my book 😉 then the $2 lip mask sample, invisible highlight stick, black eyeliner (ygh) and the only good item – Caudalie moisturiser. It might be a good box if you are starting your collection but for most those are really meh items

AmyM

Well, Allure is back to their old tricks. I signed up again a few weeks ago with the $5 off + free beauty bundle coupon. Today I was charged for the full amount of the box. Remains to be seen if I receive the bundle. It seemed like they had gotten their issues ironed out, but no. Fool me once, etc etc. 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

LoriD

I’m really looking forward to trying the Sunday Riley products cuz they’re for oily skin this year. Last year was a great item at full size but I couldn’t use it cuz I broke out 😞 I hope these sizes will last for a while so I can get a good idea of how they will work for me… 😊💕

Yes! I’m hoping for full size, and a good color.

I’m hoping for FULL SIZE.😕

Is this box only skincare and no makeup? I have enough skincare samples to last a year…I want some actual makeup!

Reply ButtonReply

Mimi

Or ipsy if you want something cheaper. Also what are you subscribed to? I want to be backlogged with skincare and looking for a sub with more on that!

Reply ButtonReply

Danielle

Beautyfix started my skincare overload. Look Fantastic is fairly skincare-heavy too. For more money Pearlesque ($40) and Boxwalla Beauty ($50) are excellent. I don’t subscribe every month because of the cost but they always release their spoilers in time to subscribe. Plus they only send products that are much healthier and cruelty free.

Carrie Sandberg

Look fantastic is 19 a month. 16 if you commit for a year and you do not have to pay the year up front. It comes from UK. Check out reviews

Nicole

You would probably be better off with something like boxy. Allure is pretty heavy on skincare, with occasional make-up thrown in. December will likely be heavy makeup, since it’s a collaboration.

Reply ButtonReply

Christy villa

The Sephora box is better I think….

Jill M

I think this is a great box! The sizes are deluxe size samples and they usually go a long way! I can get two weeks out of what they are giving so I am happy. That’s just enough time to see if I like the product or not and that’s the point of these boxes. It is great when they give full size products and I am thrilled when that happens, but I don’t expect it. I did get Beauty Fix today with the full size Dr. Brandt and that was awesome! Has anyone even gotten charged for September yet? I haven’t as of yet, and I think I am gonna give Allure a call tonight to find out what is going on with that.

Reply ButtonReply

Susan

I got charged yesterday….twice! I can’t find their phone number to contact them. I really would like to cancel and this pretty much made the decision absolute. Does anyone have that number? Thanks!

Reply ButtonReply

Misti

I got my Sept box already from Amazon Sept 10th so it was a nice surprise it came so fast so I got mine mailed before you got charged,I might not get the extras like the free gifts like joining on the Allure site but my boxes come early and I get charged the 3rd every month and that makes it worth it to me.

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

Actually I have heard from several people who get box from Amazon that you DO get a free gift. The website says same.

Charlotte

I just got charged today.

Reply ButtonReply

Jill M

Oh good! I actaully checked after I wrote the comment last night and the charge was on my bank account. I think this means at least two more weeks before we actually get the box, but thats ok bc I have plenty of things coming to tide me over.

Gidget

Shut up! Allure just keeps making this box better and better! Wasn’t too thrilled at 1st but I am now!

Reply ButtonReply

Pink5

Surprisingly, I got a sample of the Good Genes in my Birchbox.

Reply ButtonReply

Mimi

Is it 5ml? Another commenter told me it’s just 1 ml. Been thinking about that

Reply ButtonReply

Jules

I just got my Birchbox and it’s 5ml.

Jamie

Hmmm…. I just canceled Play bc I’m just not happy getting a full box of nothing but sample sizes. Allure has been sending at least 1 or 2 really good full sized items every month ever since I signed up several months ago, but the August box was kind of meh, not thrilled with September either and October is looking like everything in it belongs in a Play box. I was looking forward to November and the special box in December, but this feels like buying that terrible boxycharm feom August jist so we could be eligible for the luxe box. It’s not making me happy anymore 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Dora

You can ask them to pause your subscription for a month or two. I did that with August. I got charged yesterday for this month.

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

Love this brand, and glad to see it in the box! I know I’m spoiled, but I’m a little disappointed to not see any full-sized items in the box. :/ They are good samples and nice brands, but I guess I’m used to Allure sending out at least 1 full-sized item.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

Allure value is always at least $80. If you add up everything above, my guess would be the YSL is going to be full size and there might even be one more item.

Reply ButtonReply

NoAngel

Ummm, no, the value is not always at least $80. MSA estimates the values of each monthly box when they post the month’s product evals, and here’s what the estimates have been for the last couple of months: May $52.02, June $69.59, July $110.36, Aug $69.14, no estimate on the value of the Sep box yet. I think they’re all great values for a $15 sub, but they’re not always worth at least $80.

Jackie

Good to know, thank you! 🙂

Charlotte

We still don’t know what sizes the Hourglass mascara or YSL lip stain are going to be….

Reply ButtonReply

KimberlyB

That FAB is my all-time favorite lotion!! I am so impressed with all this from Allure, the past months and the months to come!

Reply ButtonReply

Mimi

I love FAB. It’s my default moisturizer when I’m not sampling anything. Lol of all things that are spoiled, this sold me. Not the sunday rileys or the ysl lippie.

Reply ButtonReply

Dani

Still excited for this even though that FAB moisturizer is too heavy for my skin. My wife’s skin gets ridiculously dry in the winter and this always helps so she’ll get use out of it!

Reply ButtonReply

AMANDA

Too heavy for me, too, but I use it on my daughter’s eczema.

Reply ButtonReply

Ras

Allure most be joking with October box??😭

Reply ButtonReply

Christina

exactly what i was thinking. thinking of cancelling.

Reply ButtonReply

Merlisha

I think the September box was really good, and usually after a strong box that people get excited for, the next one is a bit more lackluster. When I saw the original spoilers for this, I was blown away. But the samples seem very small, which pretty disappointing tbh. At least you know you can’t get tiny sheet mask samples

Reply ButtonReply

Charlotte

I, on the other hand, found the September box a bit of a bust (excited to get a full size MAC lippie and to try DE, but otherwise not anything I’d use), but the October box is totally up my alley. I’ll definitely be purchasing a second box.

Charlotte

Weird, and here I was thinking that September was a bit of a bust (Baby Facial and MAC lipstick the only two things I was excited about; I don’t use false lashes), but that October was turning out to be fabulous. While I agree the Good Genes sample is puny, two 1 oz sample sizes (the FAB moisturizer and Ceramic Slip cleanser) for a $15 box is a good value, to make no mention that we’re getting a lip balm, YSL lip stain, and Hourglass mascara on top of it. Truly baffled by people who think the October box is disappointing, but to each their own.

Momo

Agree! Loved the Sept box. I think I may skip this Oct box after seeing how small the actual items are compared to the early released spoiler pics (yes-it did say actual size may vary/tdb). Not interested in a full size mascara even if they offered, and ysl lippie will probably be trial size (same 1 sephora had avail upon checkout promo).

Dea

To each his own, I suppose. To me, the September box is a total bust and useless, and the October box is fabulous. Thanks to spoilers on MSA, I can cancel any sub I have before the disappointing month, and re-sub for the appealing month that follows.

Tanya M.

Actually seems more exciting that the final Ricky’s Cult crushes box. I’m a little crushed. I’m good with deluxe sample sizes Allure this month. I’m thinking the mascara (please, been wanting to try) is full sized because they gave a full sized lipstick this month. Which probably means nothing because they don’t curate a box based on that line of thinking…lol
