Yogi Surprise Men’s Subscription Box Review + Coupon – August 2018
Yogi Surprise is a monthly health and wellness subscription box that sends you natural goodies each month. They’ve recently launched this men’s box, and I’m so excited to review it today. I’ve reviewed the women’s box for months, so I’m hoping to help point out the similarities and differences for you!
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
This is a review of the Yogi Surprise Mens box, which is $44.95 a month.

Yogi Surprise Men’s Box August 2018 Review
This month focuses on the idea of being a “peace warrior”. There’s a detailed product list on this card, plus a thorough yoga sequence described on the back. The women’s boxes typically have illustrations of each pose, but this card has everything written out.
I also got a promo card for the Ohm Store, which supplied the first product I’ll mention!
Singing Bowl Set from The Ohm Store – Retail Value $19.98
This same item appeared in the June women’s box! I like the hand-hammered style and the vibrant colors of it’s felted stand. It makes a really lovely, peaceful ring. I’m used to experiencing singing bowls in classes, so I like the idea of being able to have that same experience in my own home.
Soda Wax Natural Deodorant in Knotty Buoy, 3.5 oz. – Retail Value $9.95
Sorry dudes, but I’m totally stealing this deodorant for myself. Not only does its baking-soda-based, aluminum-free formula seem to do an okay job at odor prevention (maybe not at the gym, but if I’m just headed to the office, it works just fine), but it smells amaaaaaaaazing. This combo of sandalwood, vanilla, cedarwood, and mandarin is the woodsy, heady kind of scent that I prefer to the flowery, powdery kinds of fragrances you find in the women’s aisle.
WalBall – Retail Value $19.99
When I don’t feel like pestering my partner to help get the knots out of my post-workout shoulders, this gadget should do the trick. It has a bit of suction cup action, so you can pop it on a bunch of different surfaces, like the shower, and then lean your body on it to help knead out the knots. It feels really good putting pressure on just one tough spot of fascia for a while. I’ve used tennis balls and lacrosse balls for that sort of thing in the past, but I like that this nubbin should stay put a bit better.
Yoga Mat Wash by Absolute Green, 4.5 oz. – Retail Value $6.99
I probably hose my yoga mat down TOO much after each class, so I’m always happy to have more natural mat spray! This formula has lavender, eucalyptus, and tea tree in it, so it smells clean and fresh (and makes my yoga mat feel the same).
Peace Warrior Mala Bracelet and Necklace
These designs were created by Yogi Surprise for this box. These lava beads are supposed to inspire transformation and aid in meditation—you can go around the loop, repeating your mantra in your mind bead by bead. I personally love the black color! It goes with everything and feels really modern and cool.
I read a wild article recently about all the things guys do to their skin. One guy used dish soap as facewash! Eeek! I feel like the gateway to a real, healthy skincare routine that, y’know, doesn’t totally obliterate their poor skin is gentle exfoliation. I LOVE using my Konjac sponge on my face—it’s so extremely gentle, and the charcoal infused into it leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean. This sponge is made of that same face-friendly material, but it has a slightly bigger, bar-of-soap size and shape that’s good for the rest of the body, too.
WooBamboo Bamboo Toothbrush – Buy a 2 pack for $7.90
I got this same toothbrush in a Yogi Surprise box last year! I like it—it feels no different than a regular soft toothbrush, except that it’s just a bit lighter in my hand. The bamboo is naturally anti-microbial, and it’s a more sustainable option than plastic-handled brushes. Another find that I’d totally steal for myself!
The Verdict: I’m impressed by my first look at the Yogi Surprise Men’s Box. I kind of suspected that the items would be more unisex than anything, and I was right—some of these items are the exact same things that I’ve gotten in the women’s box before. I tend towards more unisex scents and aesthetics in general, so I’m actually more into some of the items in this box than I am in the women’s box (which tends to be more flowery/colorful). I think the jewelry is the one thing I could see some guys balking at if that’s not quite their style. But everything else seemed useful, natural, and fun. It did strike me as pricey, though. It’s about $10 more than the women’s lifestyle box, and the offerings feel relatively similar.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the next box. Sign up on or by the 13th to get the next month’s box! All orders processed after the 13th will ship the following month.

Value Breakdown: There were 8 items in this box (counting the necklace and bracelet separately), 5 of which I could find individual retail values for, totaling $69.20. That means the remaining 3 (necklace, bracelet, and toothbrush) items must be worth a total of $65.80 to reach the $135.00 guaranteed retail value.
