Mindful Journaling E-Course – Retail Value $49
This month’s happiness boosting activity is a 4 week online mindful journaling course created by Kerstin Pilz and Nigel Rowles. This course sounds amazing! It includes carefully curated journaling prompts and guided sound bowl meditations. I don’t know what sound bowl meditations are but I’m super excited to find out! Signing up was easy using the unique access code provided on the enclosed card. The course is self-paced though it is suggested that meditations and writing prompts are done daily, around the same time each day and should take 20-30 minutes. That feels like a big time commitment for this busy mom but I’m going to give it go in the name of self-care!
Spongelle Fire Spiced Neroli Body Buffer, 3 oz – Retail Value $20
I am such a fan of Spongelle! Their buffers cleanse, exfoliate and massage your skin and smell amazing. The Fire Spiced Neroli Body Buffer is a part of Spongelle’s Zodiac collection with elements that represent each star sign in astrology: Air, Earth, Fire, and Water. The fiery notes of pepper, cardamom, nutmeg, and cinnamon lead to instant rejuvenation.
The Preserve Company Lavender and Oats Bath Milk, 8 oz – Retail Value $15 (found here for $7.50)
Milk baths leave your skin feeling super soft and hydrated. The Preserve Company Lavender and Oats Bath Milk contains organic oatmeal, coconut and cows’ milk, lavender, lavender essential and vitamin oils, and salts. The addition of Epsom and pink Himalayan salts is a bonus not usually found in milk baths. These salts are excellent for relaxing muscles.
The Happy Shoppe Choose Joy Bracelet – Retail Value $20
This charming bracelet is a reminder that joy is a decision so, choose joy! Exclusively found in TheraBox's The Happy Shoppe, this bracelet is created from stainless steel with ion plating and is adjustable. I was happy to find that it fit my large wrist. Now I can wear it and be reminded to choose joy daily.
Revive Wake Up Call 5pc Mask Set – Retail Value $15 (currently unavailable)
Who doesn’t love a good mask?! I was excited to see the Revive Wake Up and all 5pc Mask Set included in the July Rejuvenate box. This set includes 5 nature fiber sheet masks in rose, coffee, cucumber, coconut and green tea to leave your face hydrated and rejuvenated. I tried the coffee mask. The nature fiber sheet felt a bit like a shocking wet paper towel. Yuck! But, once I wrangled with it a bit, it laid flat on my face and clung in place better than other non-fiber masks I’ve tried. The sent was subtle so, not overwhelming at all. I left it on for the full 20 minutes as suggested and although I didn’t notice any immediate difference in my skin, it felt great to sit back and relax for a bit.
Eccolo Marble Copper Pocket Jotter Set – Listed Value $10
July’s box includes a pocket journal trio. I love pocket journals! They are easy to grab or toss in your purse to jot down quick notes or reminders. The Marble Copper Pocket Jotter Set is beautifully designed and sturdy. Transcribed on the journals are the words “Stay Curious”, “Take Epic Chances” and “Make it Happen”. Each journal has 64 rule lined pages. These journals can be used to complete your daily journaling activities as part of the mindful journaling e-course also included in this box.
The Happy Shoppe Wood Cat Photo Holder – Retail Value $7.99
My desk if choked full of cute items and this wooden cat is a welcomed addition! Another Happy Shoppe exclusive, this Wood Cat Photo Holder can be used at home or in the office to display photos, business card, or notes. My little kitty is holding an inspiration quote card. So cute!
Tru Beauty Detox Foot Pads – Retail Value $9.99
Another Revive product, these detoxifying foot pads claim to “cleanse, rejuvenate and strengthen your body while you sleep” using “natural ingredients to energize, improve circulations and remove toxins.” The box includes 10 pads (2 in each of the 5 packs) for 1 detoxing cycle. Following the instructions, I cleaned my feet, peeled the pads and adhered them to my feet before bedtime. The box says, "for best results, apply to clean, dry feet and wear while sleeping for at least eight hours." I haven't seen eight hours of sleep since before kids but, it seemed to work just fine with my measly 5 hours. The detox pads remained on my feet the entire night and I was able to walk to the bathroom without incident. In the morning, I recommend not taking off the detox pads until you are ready to shower. Once removed, the pads leave a sticky residue on your feet and have a strong earthy scent. I wouldn't want to track that through the house. Did it work? I'm not sure but the pads did turn from white to black overnight giving the impression that something happened.
The Verdict: I’m impressed! This box offered a variety of full-sized products – many continuing multiple use items like the 5-piece face mask and foot detox sets. The journaling course was a thoughtful and highly valuable addition to this month’s box. My favorite item is the Joy Bracelet; it’s simple, understated, has a great message and it fit my large wrist. There isn’t an item in this box I won't use. This month’s estimated value $146.98 making this box a real deal considering the $39.98 price ($34.99 a month + $4.99 shipping).
