Now, on to the items!

Prim Botanicals The Hair Oil – Retail Value $44

First, LOVE the packaging! It’s definitely the fanciest hair product on my counter!

This is a lightweight, natural and organic oil that does it all – you can use it as a 30-minute mask, a hot oil treatment, a heat-protectant, and as a styling product on dry hair. The scent is light and lovely thanks to essential oils of lavender, rosemary, orange, and vanilla. I’ve been using it on both damp hair before blow drying and on dry hair for just a little moisture, and I love how light it is!

Prim Botanicals The Body Oil – Retail Value $54

I like the hair oil scent and I LOVE this body oil scent. It’s a bit more fragrant, and floral thanks to the Jasmine Oil!

This oil is best to use post-shower when skin is still a bit damp. It absorbs relatively quickly and left my skin with a slight sheen. It’s also designed to be used as a bath oil and can help with stretch marks. (I need all the help I can get there!)

Verdict: I am consistently impressed with Clean Beauty Box! This box has a value of $98. I think that’s good for the $39 a month cost, considering you are getting full-sized, high-end, ingredient-conscious beauty items. I loved both of the selections in the box this month, and Prim Botanicals was a new brand discovery for me!

  1. I got that hair oil in another sub, can’t remember which. Botanic and Terre, maybe?
Anyway, I love it. I slather my hair with it once a week and let it soak in for a couple hours before showering and shampooing it out. I’ve been doing this for months now and I still have so much left! (My hair isn’t long).
I’d love to try the body oil.

  2. Liz, I’m not sure if MSA is aware, but Art of Organics no longer sells boxes by the month.
Subscribers have to at least buy 2 months’ worth of boxes at a time.
The cheapest available plan, then, is $78 bi- monthly.

The products are usually exactly what I love and want and need, but I am totally bummed about having to buy one month for which I have absolutely no spoiler at all ahead of the purchase date. The rationale the owner gave me for the change was ” One box which is our closest competitor requires advance payment for 3 boxes” ( Obviously Beauty Heroes).

Thanks for a great review. I love the two products in the August box, which is what their subscription ” bundles” now start with.
