We have the first spoiler for the Fall 2018 POPSUGAR Must Have box!

Each box will include:

The bracelet is malleable and easily adjustable to fit any wrist/arm.

Jules Smith Jane Cuff - Retail Value $90

(Subscribers will be able to pick the metal color: gold, rose gold or silver!)

Accessorize your favorite Fall sweater with an eye-catching bold cuff. The glamorous cuff is flawlessly smooth and also adjustable, allowing you to wear it on your arm or on your wrist.  It also features a geometric design that's easy to slip on or flip over for a simpler look to complement every outfit.

Here it is on:

It's kind of both bold and minimalist - I'm digging it!

And in case you missed the first spoiler, this box will also include:

Soia & Kyo Larisa Scarf - Suggested Retail Value $75

Wrap yourself inside this ultrasoft scarf. Both sides feature a stylish geometric pattern and soft gray and rose hues to complement all your on-trend Fall outfits. The luxurious accessory is a generous size, making it easy to wear not only as a scarf, but also as a shawl or cape, or even a travel blanket. We love that the dusty rose hue suits so many different tastes and skin tones.

This is one of my favorite POPSUGAR spoiler items ever! This scarf is so soft, feels so luxe, and I actually thought the retail price would be well over $100 when I first saw it. Plus, while I have a large scarf collection thanks to subscription boxes, I have nothing like this - it is so unique!

The flip side of the scarf has more blush pink tones. Here is a closer look at the material and subtle fringe on the ends:

(70% Viscose, 30% Polyester)

The scarf measures 24" x 72". I'll hold it up to give you a better sense of scale:

And here is the reverse side:

Here it is on:

With the geometric print and the way this scarf drapes, it's so easy to wear.

It's long and warm enough to also function as a shawl.

A cape, or even a more "blazer-y" look:

UPDATE: Several readers requested seeing the scarf modeled on someone who is a different height, and Anna helped us out!

For reference, I'm 5'7", and Anna is 5'3":

Thanks, Anna!

Also, a quick update from POPSUGAR about petite sizes:

There are many ways to wear the scarf and that the product was tested on many petite editors here at POPSUGAR, including Lisa Sugar, and they are obsessed with it.

Does anyone know if they are ever going to make this accessible for APO addresses? I would really love to try this sub, but I haven’t found anything to indicate that they will ship to an APO. Thanks!

Hi,
Does anyone know when this box is due to ship?

Liz,

Is there any way we can have one more spoiler before making a decision? I understand for Summer there was only two spoilers.

Popsugar just spoiled a Tarte face mask!

Ugh, I’m so on the fence. I actually adore the scarf. I live in Massachusetts, so I just can’t have enough of the high quality cozy blanket scarves. The cuff is very meh to me. I don’t wear bracelets a ton, so I feel like the cuff isn’t my style. I could definitely use it to give away for Christmas.

But the reason I’m torn is because the summer Popsugar box did not have as many items as I would of hoped for a quarterly subscription box, especially if you include the sponsored items. There was about 7 items total (not including the sponsored items), whereas FFF usually has many more products – not to mention that with tax, Popsugar is almost $85, and FFF is almost HALF the cost.
I think for me personally, it’s hard to justify the cost when there are less expensive quarterly boxes that are more crowd-pleasing and where you get more bang for your buck. It’s hard for me to let go of Popsugar though, because it used to be my favorite subscription box (even more than FFF), but now the price is just far too high for the likability of the items.. :/

Anyone feel the same way?

I love both boxes but I do find the PopSugar ones to be more high quality and luxe than most items in the Fab Fit Fun box. I had to have the agate coasters add ons because they are gorgeous and a great brand and I liked the cuff and scarf. I can’t wait!

With Fab Fit Fun there are always things I end up loving and some I never use. I still feel like I get things of use. I also love the add ons and the option to buy more than one thing with the choice items. I am an annual member and have been for over 2 years. I will likely renew my membership when it is due again.

So it is apples and oranges to me. Both have pros and cons. ( By the way, look at the video for the bag at PS’s first spoiler and you will see the blonde lady in the black is wearing the gold cuff from this box._ It is subtle and occurs very quickly but it is definitely there. I watched it slo mo several times and it is the cuff!

PS is more sophisticated and FFF is more trendy.

I am rambing……..sorry.

I don’t know. I used to be a faithful subscriber to both PSMH and FFF. When I look at what items I actually use on a regular basis from subscription boxes, almost all of them came from PSMH, particularly their LE boxes. FFF certainly has more items, but there is something to be said for quality over quantity.

In my opinion, PSHM really knocked it out of the park with last year’s fall and winter LE boxes. The Fall box had 6 items, all of which I have used heavily and have loved. I’ve gotten so many compliments on the poncho and necklace and I loved the skin care stuff. The Winter box had 7 items, and I have used most of it, though the napkins really don’t go with my decor. But I’m still loving the body oil, perfume, watch, and that bag. Both of those boxes were $100 and worth every penny due to the high quality and the amount of use I’ve gotten from the items. The summer box would have been a flop for me, so glad I didn’t order it, but it had 8 items, which was on the higher side for PSMH. Their summer boxes rarely appeal to me, but I have high hopes for the fall box after the amazing curation they had last year.

I’m the opposite of many commenters here. Being tall, busty, and with a larger frame (totally proportionate for my height, I’m not a bean pole, I am a beautiful giant), these spoilers make me so happy. Most of the accessories I get in these boxes are too dainty to look good on me. They just look lost. I’m still a little wary that the cuff might be too small to actually fit around my wrist, but at least it’ll look right on my frame.

I initially said no to this box, because I desperately needed and new, work appropriate, winter coat, so I couldn’t justify this expense. I went to the Bon Ton yesterday to see if there were still any good deals left and found a very nice, warm, gray pea coat, that ended up costing only $14. I normally like something with a bit more color/personality, but I think the addition of this scarf should do the trick. So I’m totally ordering this box with the money I saved on the coat.

I love both spoilers but I am A shortie (five ft even) and they wouldn’t work for me. The scarf is so gorgeous!

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

I am 5 feet tall with a 6 in wrist and I bought the box! I think they will work since you can adjust the cuff and the scarf is so versatile you can wear it a lot of ways!

Reply ButtonReply

Melody

I recognize the potential appeal of both of hear items but neither of them scream my name…or even whisper my name for hat matter…

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

I bought the box because I like the cuff and I want the agate coasters. I chose the silver cuff and the more I looked at the scarf the more appealing it was to me. I like the blush pink undertones and Soia and Kyo is a nice brand as is the coaster brand Anna New York Pedra. I actually had this brand of coasters on my wait list at The Real Real.

I am excited for the FFF box as well.

Thank heavens for MSA! Liz’s descriptions always help me make good purchasing choices for sub boxes.

Yay! So glad to hear MSA is helpful 🙂

I’m skipping this one. I think the scarf and bracelet are attractive. However, I’m a petite person and both items will likely fit poorly on me.

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

I am very very petite and I bought the box! I have never had a problem with fit other than the Rachel Zoe Palm print duster was so huge on me it wasn’t attractive at all. I got the Eberjay robe in a small last box and it is oversized but very wearable!

Last comment – totally annoying when a positive comment on this post is screened out due to weird criteria – no longer worth the bother???

Reply ButtonReply

Jennyjenny

What’s the “criteria”?

I had cancellation remorse after deciding yesterday that maybe those spoilers were not my cup of tea – Andy from customer service ROCKS!!! He reinstated my account which made customization easier than total restart – much to be said for CS and PS quality over FFF is in a different class altogether 😎👍🏻

sher_w

I might still get the box, but the cuff is not my style. Does anyone want the cuff, and I will order your colour?

Reply ButtonReply

LanaLoo

The scarf looked great, the cuff is a pass. I don’t think this is doing a good job of competing with FFF so far, even though I’m not super excited about the first round of FFF spoilers, at least they give us choices and it’s a lower price per box

Meg

Couldn’t agree more!

I love the cuff and Jules Smith is an emerging designer and she is making a mark as an emerging designer. That geometric style is on trend. despite the naysayers I am not loving the scarf but I don’t hate it. It will all depend on what FFF has as its spoilers.

I remember the Kendra Scott Ainsley cuff we got in a former PS box. It is now retired and has a high resale value

I also love those agate coasters. I am on the fence. I am certainly not hating on this box though.

You really can’t compare this cuff to that janky one that was in FFF. That thing tarnished on its on in the box. It really was junk. This one may be different.

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

Totally agree. I subbed to FFF for a year and ended up with a bunch of junk. I didn’t renew this spring and have no regrets. On the other hand I am usually impressed with the items from PS.
FFF just released fall spoilers today. True to form, junk.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

I completely agree with you. I sub to both fff and now popsugar (I purchased limited edition boxes from ps in the past). While the price of the fff boxes are less, I feel the quality of the items in the pop sugar boxes exceed those of fff (not to mention I feel some of the items in fff are geared toward a younger audience). While I have many scarfs, this one in the upcoming ps fall box looks like a classic staple that will hopefully endure for seasons, instead of a few wears (like that cuff from the fff box last spring). I was able to purchase this fall box from popsugar for under $50 (had a refer a friend credit and utilized Liz’s coupon), so for me the value is there.

TK

The cuff is really not my style and I was just iffy on the scarf so I just canceled. I’ll have more $ for the FFF add ons that I DON’T need!

Reply ButtonReply

DonnaG

I really like the scarf, but I wish the cuff was a different style.

On a side note, Box of Style sent an email showing full spoilers for the Fall Box. Included is what is called a ‘capelet’ which is another scarf-like item/poncho. I’m surprised MSA hasn’t posted anything – but I have cancelled my subscription.

DonnaG

Thanks, Liz! I missed it! even though I go on here everyday to check things out.

LizC

Really delighted that this doesn’t interest me. I’m trying to go a whole week without buying anything…………………….Sad but true.

How do you choose the color? I’m subscribed. Do I need to go in and pick somewhere on the site or do they send an email?

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

Yes, you’ll need to go in your account, click on subscriptions and there’s a button for you to customize your cuff color 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Daria

No, no, no. That cuff (with ridiculous RV) reminds me of a cuff I received awhile back from FFF, that lasted maybe 1-2 wears then started tarnishing and really looked cheap (Ali Express cheap). I love cuffs, and I have several, so I know a good cuff when I see one. This ain’t a good cuff. And I’ve got enough blanket/scarves from subs to open a scarf store.

Reply ButtonReply

Aquarianfire

I cancelled after getting the first quarterly box and I’m sure glad I did. I loved the monthly boxes and got them for years but once they changed to quarterly, things went downhill in my opinion. This box isn’t for me at all. Oh well. I really loved you Popsugar.

Reply ButtonReply

Krista

They are going to really need to up the ante here if they intend to stay at $75 a box. Especially with FFF at $50 and wayyy better. PSMH has “expensive” products but expensive in a “yes the RV is $90 but I can get a similar scarf at TJ Maxx for $30” way. So happy I remembered to cancel a few weeks back!!

Heather K

I just hope I cancelled in time. I hadn’t been charged yet so…

Popsugar was my 1st true love of sub boxes ☺️
I’ll never give it up. I actually love the scarf, those are gorgeous colors and I’ll wear the cuff a lot. I wear my fff cuff all the time too.

Mimi

I just ordered mine; I hope the rest of the box is awesome too. <3

When I first spotted the cuff I thought it was a ring (I love rings) oh well. My daughter-in-law will get a nice cuff bracelet for bday.
