PinkSeoul Mask Box July 2018 Review
Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type so be sure to figure out your skin type.
Here is the info sheet detailing the products.
The Saem Natural Sheet Mask in Charcoal - Retail Value $3
The Saem Natural Sheet Mask in Tea Tree - Retail Value $3
The Saem Natural Sheet Mask in Bamboo - Retail Value $3
These masks had a slight alcohol scent and they were super wet to the point that the mask essence started to drip in my eyes and I had to take this mask off within a few minutes. Bummer.
Tony Moly Fresh To Go Mask in Cucumber - Retail Value $4
Tony Moly Fresh To Go Mask in Grape - Retail Value $4
My cucumber mask smelled exactly like cucumber, and that is a scent I can always get behind. I found these masks to be a bit drippy, and the mask themselves were very thin—to the point I was worried I was going to break the mask while I was unfolding it. The mask did fit my face well and I felt like my skin was refreshed after using.
Borntree Natto Gum Mask - Retail Value $5
Natto is Japanese fermented soybeans with a rather pungent scent. Luckily, this mask had no discernable scent and the sheet fit my face well. This wasn’t too wet so it was very comfortable to wear, and my face felt deeply nourished after wearing.
JM Solution Glow Luminous Aurora Mask - Retail Value $4
This sheet mask had a very milky essence, and the sheet itself was thin but it fit my face well. This felt very soothing on my slightly sunburnt face, and it had the faintest fragrance that was nice.
Orjena Essential Vita Mask in Moisture - Retail Value $4
Orjena Essential Vita Mask in Nutrition - Retail Value $4
These sheet masks are made with vitamins C, E, B5, and B6, and the moisture mask is made with chamomile and the nutrition mask is made with hyaluronic acid. My face loved these sheet masks—they were hydrating and soothing, and my skin looked a touch brighter after removing.
VT Probiotics Mask - Retail Value $6
This sheet mask is made with real probiotics, and I really think the probiotics worked to brighten my skin! The mask fit my face well and wasn’t too wet—I would happily use this again.
Etude House Soon Jung Dry Mask Capsules, 5 pc – Retail Value $6
THESE. ARE. SO. COOL. These are the bonus item for the box, and they were also included in the regular Pink Seoul Box. Remember those towels we would get when we were younger that was compressed into a small shape and magically turned into a towel when it met water? These capsules are the same idea, only they are sheet masks that you soak with your toner or essence of choice! I get more sheet masks than I can count each month, but I am still ecstatic to have these—I can customize each one specifically to what my skin needs at that moment. These do need a couple rounds of liquid to fully absorb and be wet, so I just poured toner in, waited until it soaked up, then poured in more.
The Verdict: This month’s PinkSeoul Mask Box was another winner for me! A lot of the masks were packed with skin-soothing ingredients, and these are a fun treat for my face every few days. I like using them at night time after all of my other skincare has occurred, because these masks are cooling and soothing and they help me fall asleep. Value-wise I calculated a value of $40 which is a bit on the low end that I have seen but is still more than the cost of the box.
