Gaia Collective MoonBox "Manifest" Review August 2018
This little card introduces the concept behind the box.
This next card introduces the lunar phases for July as well as the "intention" for the month, which is "Manifest".
Cosmic Collage Moon Calendar
Each box comes with a colorful woven mat that acts as a lunar and astrological calendar for the month. It's officially Leo season, and this August baby couldn't be more excited!
The box also came with a bag of three crystals. They range from about 1-2 inches long.
Blue Quartz
According to the info card, this smooth cobalt blue stone can be placed on the throat to help amplify your powers of communication.
Pineapple Calcite
This honey-colored stone really does look a bit like a chunk of fresh pineapple! This stone is supposed to be placed on your belly in order to inspire "compassionate power".
Peacock Ore
This stone had some bits crumbling off of it in the bag, but the majority of it is just fine. It's really captivating, isn't it?! This stone is a symbol of "mysticism, mindfulness, and magic" that can be placed on the third eye to inspire those qualities in myself.
Chabazite from Jewel Tunnel
This last stone arrived separately from the others. (It was sitting inside a small white box.) There are small bits broken off, but again, the majority of the stone is fine. The card says that this stone is helpful for manifestation. I love the deep amber hue.
The ABCs of Happy Cards - Retail Value $20.00
Each of these square cards features a small lesson on a different aspect of happiness represented by a different letter of the alphabet. I could see keeping these cards on a coffee or bedside table to help bring a bit of mindfulness to my day-to-day.
Fire and Bloom Pisces Full Moon Candle Tin
This particular candle wasn't listed on the Fire and Bloom site, but I assume it's one of their 4 oz. candles that are usually sold via sets. I love that the candle is covered in pastel glitter that shimmers in the light. There's an intention-setting "ritual" inside the lid, too! The fragrance is hard for me to pin down. I think it's a little salt-watery, a bit fruity (like a melon type of fruity), and very subtly herbal.
Mountains to Sea Rose and Bergamot Bath Bomb
I couldn't find this particular bath bomb on the Mountains to Sea website. It's just under 2" in diameter and has a lovely bouquet of dried flowers smushed into its center. The aroma is romantic, with the rich, almost fruity rose being balanced by the headier bergamot blend. There are plenty of skin-nourishing ingredients, too, to help make for an enriching bath!
New Moon Pin Crystal Point Hair Clip
I thought this was a really unique accessory! I've seen plenty of hair clips, but never one with a crystal dangling beneath it. I do wish they listed what type of crystal this is, and I personally wish I'd gotten a brighter color crystal since the black one I got doesn't stand out very well against my hair color. But I do really like wearing it. It feels like jewelry for your hair.
The Verdict: I think this box is perfect for someone who's interested in crystals and spiritual rituals. The other gifts are really cute and I like that some of them are from smaller companies. But the focus of the box is definitely on crystals and moon calendar rituals. The depth of detail they go to on the info card is really awesome for folks unfamiliar with the lunar calendar and its impact. I do wish there was slightly more in-depth information about the specific crystals themselves/how to care for them, but I had fun with this box nonetheless. My crystal collection is getting so big and colorful thanks to this subscription!
