Mighty Fix August 2018 Review

Each box includes an info card telling you about the featured item and how what they chose to send you helps your house be “greener,” and you be “healthier”! This month’s featured item is a Collapse-it silicone food storage container. The back of the card has a recipe for lemony wheat berries with roasted brussels sprouts.

Collapsible Round Food Storage Container- 4 Cup

Collapsible Round Food Storage Container, 4-cup size – Retail Value $12.99

This month’s eco-friendly item is a collapsible container great for easy storage. The container is from Collapse-it and came in handy. I stored my leftover pasta in the container, and I’m able to microwave the pasta in the container as well. Other users said it stained and retained the smell from previous food stored. I can’t speak to that since I only used to store my leftovers and haven’t used over a long period so keep that in mind. The container collapses for easy storage and packing of food depending on what I pack. The container stores my food in the fridge or I can freeze, its microwavable safe, oven safe up to 500 degrees, up to 6 hours (I don’t think I want to chance burning it, knowing my luck) and its dishwasher safe (I will handwash to prolong the longevity of the container). The container is made from high-quality, non-allergenic, durable silicone, toxin-free, no BPA, phthalates, or lead and has a two-year warranty. Good to know – it’s manufactured in China and the patent is pending.

Here are images of the top and bottom of the container collapsed and below its regular size which holds four cups.

Verdict: Mighty Fix delivered another product that I was in need of, and so far I’m pleased. It will be interesting to see after prolong use if the container stains from food stored or retain the foods smells. This subscription doesn’t send the same item each month to everyone that subscribes, so keep in mind that if you choose to subscribe your item may be different from what I received. Also, readers have mentioned in previous reviews that they already received a product I was reviewing. The $12.99 value is a little above the cost of the subscription, but I receive quality items for $10.00 each month, which is an incredible deal.
