JoJo's Bow Club Series 1: Edition #10 August 2018 Review

JoJo Collector's Pin

Included in each box is a collector's pin. This one is so cute with a little arrow in the center that actually moves when you flick it. You can land in one of four categories: dreamer, creator, superstar or believer. That's about as fun as a pin can get!

Note the teeny tiny number 10 on the upper right side of the pin. This shows the order in which pins are released, in this case, it is the 10th edition. A cool little detail for those serious about collecting!

Bows arrive in this collectible, drawstring "on-the-go bag" to help keep your bow safe while traveling. Again, this has the number 10 on it to show which edition it corresponds with.

Color-Me-In Bow - (find similar JoJo bows here and here)

This month, the bow is incredibly unique in that it features a black and white design that you get to color in yourself. The bow features hearts, stars, smiley faces, rainbows and more that you can add your own personal touch to. The center is made of tiny gemstones which are also scattered throughout the bow in various colors. Just a little sparkle to add to the design!

The bow features a large, silver alligator clip on the back to help hold it in place.

The bow is pretty large and I would consider it oversized, which probably comes as no surprise if you're a JoJo fan! It looked really cute in my 3-year-old's hair and draped nicely around her ponytail.

They included these three markers in our bag with the bow so that we could color it in. The markers had a nice fine tip so that we could color in the smaller details fairly easily. I was surprised at how much darker the colors actually were than their caps though. I think I actually like the darker colors better, but the neon would have looked really cool too! The marker went on smoothly and soaked into the fabric with no noticeable bleeding. It didn't rub off onto our fingers either, so I was impressed with the quality.

My daughter and I worked on the bow a little bit together. She wanted to put it away to finish adding more later, which I think is perfectly fine because it looks kind of cool with some white on it still! Keep in mind, she is only 3, so an older child would probably be able to get really creative with this and fill the entire bow with color.

Verdict: This was our first time receiving a box from JoJo's Bow Club and what a great way to start it off! This bow was really fun and unique and my daughter absolutely loved that she got to color it in on her own! I was impressed with the quality of the bow. I also thought the collectible bag and pin were great extras to go along with our bow. This definitely feels like an exclusive box and I think if I were a young girl who loved accessories, I would really love to receive this. I have seen JoJo Siwa bows range in price from $8-$17 depending on the design and these are bows that aren't exclusive or limited edition. With that in mind, I think that it's a fair value to receive such an exclusive bow, bag, and pin for the cost of $19.98 ($14.99+ $4.99 shipping). This would definitely make a fun and special gift subscription for a young girl!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, but I would act quickly as previous boxes have sold out!

Value Breakdown: This box is $19.98 ($14.99 + $4.99 shipping) a month and I received one exclusive bow set!

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

I saw a JoJo color in bow at TJ Maxx this past weekend…. I didn’t check price since they are way too big for my toddler but it caught my eye and I thought it was pretty cool idea.

I would assume much less than $20 tho since it is TJ Maxx

Not so sure that bow is exclusive since it was at Costco or Sams club that they were selling her bow set with 6 bows or so and it had the black and white color in bow. The whole set was less than $20. The subscription does not come close to $20 in value. The bows are cute but just very simple thick ribbon. Will see if they increase items to make this sub more worthwhile.
