Facetory SEVEN LUX August 2018 Review
I received this adorable summer fun sticker sheet!
This month’s box came with a ‘how to’ card to show you exactly how you should be using each mask, in general. As always, there is a monthly information card that outlines each mask from the box! There is a little description so you know exactly how to use each mask. The card does a great job in listing out key ingredients and benefits. This is super helpful!
FaceTory Sun Bae Soothing Mask – Listed Value $3.50
This rayon sheet material mask was created exclusively by FaceTory! The ingredients are meant to soothe your skin after a long day out in the sun, something that I have been too much of this summer. The aloe barbadensis leaf extract has anti-inflammatory properties that will soothe and hydrate. While the jojoba seed oil soothes while unclogging hair follicles which can help to treat acne, dry skin, and sunburns. I used this mask after an afternoon at the pool when my skin was feeling extra tight. I was left with an extreme glow that left my skin feeling hydrated and so smooth. I didn’t even need to use foundation for the rest of the day after removing this mask!
Ultru I’m Sorry For My Skin S.O.S. Jelly Mask – Listed Value $4
I love jelly masks because they always stay on my face perfectly, and they always have so much extra serum for my face, neck, and chest to absorb. The main ingredients include Centella Asiatica which is meant to fight inflammation, while the broccoli sprout extract calms any irritations on your skin. I am currently pregnant so I see a ton of inflammation and irritation in my skin so this mask came at the perfect time. I used this in the evening before bed and noticed less redness and an overall smoothness. While I didn’t notice any huge changes in my inflammation, I thought this was a fun and relaxing mask to use!
Ariul Juice Cleanse Mask Wheat & Celery – Retail Value $2.99
This mask is very interesting! It looks like a multi-step mask, which I guess it technically is, but really what you are doing is putting a dry mask into the essence yourself. You will want to make sure the dry mask is completely covered in the essence and soaked through before applying the mask to your face. The mask is really meant to cleanse your skin while fighting to reduce acne, scars, and remove impurities deep within your skin. The wheat extract is meant to soften and moisturize your skin. This mask was really unique from any others I have ever tried and while I don’t think I loved it as much as I love the bubble cleansing masks, I thought it was really fun and did a great job making my face feel and look clean without drying me out.
Shionle Pore & Spot Care Mask – Listed Value $3.50
This mask is made with Pinus Palustris leaf extract which is an antioxidant that helps to fight free radicals to prevent wrinkles and aging. It also contains tea tree extract, an antiseptic to soothe your skin while treating acne or even smaller blemishes. The mask is meant to help reduce redness, eliminate blemishes, and reduce pores. I think this is the type of mask that you have to use frequently to see results over time because I didn’t see a huge difference in my skin after removing the mask. It had a light scent that was very relaxing and the mask fit my face nicely so it was extremely relaxing and left my skin looking less red and refreshed overall!
Jeu’Demeure Aqua Mask – Listed Value $4
This mask is all about hydration and overall balance, something my skin needs after my summer in the sun! The trehalose helps your skin to retain its natural moisture, while the sodium hyaluronate is great for aging skin and blemishes to help restore your skin. I used this mask before bed and loved how much serum was left even after removing the mask for my skin to drink in! I felt an overall hydration, a reduction to any redness, and a healthy glow that allowed me to put little to no makeup on the next morning. I need to have this mask around all the time for when my skin becomes extra dry.
Medius Ampoule Synergy Mask Lifting Plus – Retail Value $5.50
This is a multi-step lifting mask to help lift and firm your skin, something this tired Mom really needs! I started by using the boosting essence pad which is meant to exfoliate your skin. Then, I used the mask for about ten minutes before removing. I had some light redness after removing the mask, but I wonder if that was from the essence pad. The mask is mainly made with hydrolyzed collagen which works to plump your skin while reducing the appearance of wrinkles. I did notice a lovely plumpness after removing the mask and my skin felt silky smooth. I love the way collagen plumps up my eyes, which is where I am starting to see wrinkles, without making me look swollen in any way, just a healthy glow!
Adaline Keep Cool and Ocean Mask – Retail Value $3
This mask was amazing! It made my skin feel instantly cool when applying which was great to use after a day in the sun. It is made with seawater that contains minerals to help strengthen and hydrate your skin. The honeysuckle flower extract has antioxidant properties to help soothe your skin. This mask was so wonderful and relaxing to use and left my skin feeling cool with less redness from the sun. I thought it was great to use on a warm afternoon to really let my skin get extra hydration!
Verdict: Facetory was another winner this month! I loved the overall curation, focus on helping your summer skin, and seeing a Facetory exclusive mask. I have received a few of the bubble cleansing masks over the past few months so I was excited to see a new cleansing mask version this month that was oh so unique and unlike anything I have ever seen. While I wasn’t able to find most of the masks for sale online, I calculated about $26.49 in value which I think is amazing for the quality and overall curation that I received this month.
