Fabletics is a monthly fitness apparel subscription co-founded by Kate Hudson. You can shop Fabletics in two ways—you can shop the regular store, or you can sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:

  • Take the Fabletics quiz, which will let the company know your size, style, and fitness needs.
  • Each month, Fabletics will curate looks that match your preferences. According to the website, outfits start at $19.00 for new members. (I’m not sure if “new members” refers to just your first order, though.)
  • Shop those looks at 40-50% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If do neither, the $49.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
  • As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied to accessories and other cool fitness essentials.

The key takeaway here is that this subscription won’t automatically send you monthly packages like other services do. You have to hop into your account and either decide to add items to your card or skip it. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, though you do have to call into Fabletics customer service to do it.

Loma 2-Piece, Size Medium Top, Size Large Leggings – Retail Value $129.90, VIP Price $59.95

Here’s what I got this month! I’m a summer gal (what’s up my Leo sisters!), but even I’m excited about seeing fall clothes starting to pop up in stores. With fall in mind, I decided to go for this combo of a long-sleeved top and cropped leggings.

fabletics gray leggings

On a shorty like me (I’m 5′ 3″) these cropped leggings fit more like 7/8 crop styles, which I actually prefer. (I feel like I look a little stumpy in leggings that hit closer to the knee.) The dove gray hue wasn’t a color I’d usually go for, but I liked the dusty pink color and mock neck cut of the top so much that I figured I’d go for it. And I actually think it looks really pretty on me!

The top is actually a thin sweatshirt made with French terry fabric (60% Cotton/40% Polyester). It’s cozy, but not so cozy that it’d be stifling coming out of a sweaty class. There’s a drawstring along the bottom hem that lets you control the silhouette a bit. Personally, I like when it’s completely let out and somewhat boxy, but there’s a sporty look to having it ruched up.

The Verdict: I really liked this set from Fabletics! As usual, I felt like I was getting my money’s worth in terms of quality. Those leggings really hold me in without sacrificing comfort! The style of the sweatshirt is so cute, too. I could see wearing it out and about with jeans as well as to the gym or on a crisp morning jog. Look out fall! My workout wardrobe is ready for ya!
