Clean Routine Beauty Box August 2018 Review
Here’s the info card for the box. I like that they include a short description of each item, plus the price of the full-size version of the products.
We Love Eyes Tea Tree Eye Makeup Remover, 30 ml – Retail Value $18.00
I love cleansing with oils. This one took my eyeliner off in a snap without a bunch of scrubbing. Plus, the oil formula left my delicate eye skin feeling nourished, rather than stripped and red. My sensitive eyes were still a little irritated by the formula, so definitely do what the brand suggests and use a Q-tip to get right the remover right where you need it rather than spreading it around on your eye area.
Cocofloss Sample in Fresh Coconut – Buy 7 yards for $2.00 or $8.00 for 32 yards (as listed on the info card)
I’ve tried mint Cocofloss before and really enjoyed it. I find it slightly gentler on my sensitive gums than typical plastic floss, which always feels like it’s cutting into them. The floss is made with natural coconut fragrances that give it a beachy, summery vibe. I never thought I’d think of dental floss as chic, but this hits the mark! I just wish it was a full-size pack!
San Clementine Bath Co. After Sun Aloe, 4 oz. – Retail Value $14.00
This aloe-based product feels amazingly soothing on my skin. I don’t have any burns right now, but my skin definitely gets dry and stressed out after weekends spend running around outside, or just driving in the sun with an arm out the window. It has a beachy coconut aroma to it, which was pretty, but not overpowering. It’s a nice way to refresh my skin after a day out. The light moisture feels cool and nourishing.
Itch Zero After Bite Balm, 10 ml – Buy a full size for $10.00 (as listed on the info card)
I got a product from this same brand in my last package. This balm will come in handy when I go on my mountain vacay next week! It’s got herby vibes with a pop of soothing peppermint and eucalyptus melted into its super smooth sunflower oil, safflower oil, and beeswax base. I’m lucky not to have any bug bites to test this on right now, but I’m happy to have this cooling, peaceful balm on hand for when I do!
The Verdict: If anything, I just wish I had more full-sized items! These products were all high-quality and super practical. I could’ve maybe used a more makeup-y beauty item in addition to these skincare picks, just for fun. But I love the efficacy of what I got and of course how beautifully natural everything is!
