This month’s box came with a little information card! The July theme is “beach,” which is exactly where I want to be during these hot summer months!
A beach themed bookmark was also included!

Bubbles and Books does a great job of selecting light and easy reads with a perfect amount of sexiness, which is exactly the kind of reading material I want when I am relaxing in a bath trying to let my mind unwind. Books like these may seem a bit cliché and predictable in the storyline and the ending, but I still enjoy the read! I will say I wasn’t a big fan of the male protagonist (Ian) kissing Sara when she was definitely putting off no vibes and hadn’t consented, as consent is as equally important as passion! Overall though, I enjoyed the read. From Amazon:

Bubbles & Books Premium Handmade Soap in Dead Sea Mud
This soap is a Bubbles & Book exclusive, handmade with olive oil, coconut oil, soybean oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, shea butter, water, and lye. The addition of the dead sea salt, activated charcoal, and two types of clay made this soap fit right into the beach theme, as this is the kind of soap I would reach for after an afternoon in the sand and surf! There is a fragrance in the ingredient list as well, but the soap overall doesn't really have a noticeable scent.
Bubbles & Books Premium Bath Bomb in Coconut Coconut
I love that this box always includes a bath bomb—slipping into a bath that’s been fragranced with a bath bomb with a good read is one of my favorite ways to relax! The coconut scent here wasn’t too strong, but the sunflower oil did provide a nice bit of moisture to my skin while the bomb turned the bath a light pink.
Beaches of Tunisia Beach Incense, 4 sticks – Buy 12 sticks for $2.99
Woah, baby! This is not your mama's incense—the custom scents created for Bubbles and Books in Sun & Sand and Exotic Seabreeze really do smell like the beach! I love having a candle burning when I am relaxing in the tub, but these incense sticks did an awesome job replacing my regular candle and making my bathroom my own little beach oasis!
Cricket N Willow Pina Colada Lip Balm, 0.15 oz – Retail Value $3.50
Pina Coladas and lip balms are both things I need when I am at the beach, so this lip balm pairing the two together is just my style. The ingredients in this lip balm are all organic, and the scent really is reminiscent of a pina colada! This hydrated my lips well and I can always use more lip balms, so this is a win for me!
Starfish
To round out the beach theme we have a starfish we can use as decoration around the bathroom as we create our own beach oasis. I have never been into the starfish as decorations trend, as it makes me feel funny knowing at one point this starfish was alive in the ocean (I feel the same way about sand dollars).
Verdict: Bubbles & Books combines two of my favorite things—reading and baths! This box is really a self-care treat, and I appreciate how the box is always centered around a theme. I can easily see myself paying $30.99 (the cost of the box plus shipping) for a new book, an artisan bar of soap, and a bath bomb, so I love the convenience factor this box adds! If you love to read romance novels and enjoy a good bath, I definitely say you should give this box a shot.
