I received email with the link this morning at 7:07 am, had been checking email every couple of minutes at most. It took me until 7:40 tho to make it thru the links without getting an “error” message. Don’t give up folks, just keep returning to email and trying again from there. It’s faster to start back there than try to reload the page for the “live version”.

The next BoxyLuxe spoiler is a Luxie brush.

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

The exact brush is LUXIE 732 Airbrush Foundation from the Luxie pro tools collection. The RV is $38.00

Reply ButtonReply

Nan

Just got an email saying, “You are among the elite few that will be eligible to upgrade their subscription to BoxyLuxe.” Hmmm…

Reply ButtonReply

Victoria

Y’all we are on count down!! 5 days till whoever wants boxyluxe can opt in! I’m so excited it’s giving me anxiety waiting lol!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Sierra

Same!! The Anxiety is REAL.

mmaureenn

I am so excited for the Boxy luxe. I cancelled all of my subs except Boxy, because so what about the lippies. Only about 1 out of 5 lippies that I purchase at full price end up being my go-to, anyway. YSL and Guerlain? Boxyluxe is only $50 for 11 products… less than $5 each. Personally, I’m grateful to be able to add to my makeup stash at an affordable price. But, if everyone cancels or opts out of the upgrade, that just makes it easier for those of us who want it, to get it.

Reply ButtonReply

Trixxy

I made a similar point on another post luxury brands are very expensive, why anyone thinks for 50 dollars they’d get that is beyond me, maybe one thing here and there, but I certainly never expected it. These aren’t cheap brands and 11 full sized for 50 dollars is pretty darn good. I think I might change my mind and do the upgrade as a treat for myself.

Reply ButtonReply

Victoria

I agree 100 percent. This upgrade is my “push present” to myself. I’m going in for a csection the 17th so I’m hoping it will be here when I’m in the hospital so hubby can bring it to me lol. I am beyond excited new baby girl and boxyluxe all in one month!! Not to mention I’ve really been wanting the pretty vulgar pallet, park avenue princess pallet, and sol jenerio oil. Count me in.

Stacey Clay

Should I have gotten an email for the upgrade by now because I haven’t.

Reply ButtonReply

Sandra

Check your spam/junk mail mine went there.

Reply ButtonReply

Jill M

If you signed up for the interest list to get the emails, then the last one ypu would have gotten is a spoiler. We already got the one saying it will be available for upgrade on Sept 1st.

Reply ButtonReply

Victoria

So far we’re up to about 253.00 for 6 items we have 5 left to go. I’m excited to see the rest!! I’m going to try and guess since the regular boxy sent out brand spoilers

Reply ButtonReply

Dawn

i think boxy luxe is awesome. All the items i really like and well worth the bargin. Im on a tight budget so im really excited. i would never be able to afford these items so im happy this box is only 49.99. So far ill use every single product in the Luxe. I didnt really care for Aug box but its ok. looking forward till Sept. and Sept 1st…

Reply ButtonReply

Victoria

I know when we got the small bum bum cream I was hoping it was the oil and now I’ll have it lol. This is my push present to myself I to,d the hubby lol. I’m going in sept. 18 to have our baby girl, and if it’s not here by then if I’m in the hospital I’m having him bring it lol.

Em

I’m tempted to reactive my subscription for this. I keep getting emails about it, but I don’t want the August box. Hopefully I could on sept 1st.

What does everyone think of the spoilers so far? I’m pretty impressed- plus everything full-sized for $50? Seems like a great deal.

I hope in the future they make it so you can subscribe to the quarterly luxe over the monthly boxes. More times than not, I don’t want or need a monthly box of makeup/skincare. I do think it’s excessive to upgrade to this, and still continue to get monthly boxes in between.

Reply ButtonReply

Danielle

I would prefer to just subscribe to a quarterly box as well. But I’m guessing making sure they’re getting some of our money every month allows them to afford to sell the “luxe” (😉😉) boxes with so many FS products and such a high total RV. Just a theory. Hopefully I’m wrong and they’ll allow us to subscribe to Luxe only. I for one have WAAAY too mich makeup, skincare, etc. right now.
I’m ashamed to say I could probably open my own store. Sub nox addiction is REAL. 😄

Reply ButtonReply

Victoria

I’m completely excited and will be up bright and earlier anyways to get the kids off to school so I’m hopefully going to be able to get it. I’m loving EVERY spoiler so far, and this is the best present 🎁 for me. I’m due for a csection September 18 so hopefully when I come home from the hospital my big box of goodies I’ll be waiting for me, I’m even considering having the husband bring it up there to me 😂

Reply ButtonReply

Cristina

I agree with your point, but Boxy themselves said “luxury products” several times in emails and videos, so it’s not just the name that is misleading and none of these products are luxury.

Reply ButtonReply

RoguesEn3D

I don’t mean to complain, but is there a way notifications for the Luxe box could be separated from the regular box? I certainly appreciate this website and everything the entire staff does, I would just rather receive notifications only for boxes I subscribe to. I just thought I would ask. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

summersam

I really hope there isn’t a ton of drama with the rollout of this box, because I want it! I have been lusting after that Sol de Janierio oil and the tarte palette for quite a while. For people saying that the name “BOXYLUXE” is misleading and should contain YSL/ DIOR to warrant the word -luxe, lets be serious!! its only an extra $30 for all of these great full sized items- many brands which Ulta and Sephora carry- and brands that I definitely couldn’t afford retail! sure, it would be great to get super high end stuff, but it is not reasonable at this price point.

Reply ButtonReply

Sandy

Thank you for your comments. I was afraid to say anything. I never interact online. I joined Boxycharm because I couldn’t afford to buy products from Ulta and Sephora. I wanted to treat myself after decades on focusing finances on kids and family related needs, using very basic skincare and makeup. I don’t have the money to drop whenever new products roll out. This was my way of trying different things and finding the things I liked/that worked. Then saving up for repurchase. To some of us, these items are considered high end. I am incredibly thankful to Boxycharm for making that possible for me and others. In regards to the Boxyluxe rollout(subscribing, fulfillment, and shipping)…I’m going to show them grace. My husband is in IT. The complexity in the task of giving us more options(future use of surveys) and the programming involved can be lost to those of us without IT experience. Computer servers/programs are very very finicky. They can tend to “not want to play nice” with each other. ONE obscure little change embedded deep in the extensive program or adding a seemingly fitting software program to a current system can just blow things up and finding the problem is not as easy as one would think. I have seen really smart computer people work their tails off 24/7 for however long it took in order to “put fires out”. Fires that arose when launching a system AFTER conducting extensive testing to make sure it would work without any problems. One time, it was because a non-IT person made a seemingly minor change to the printer setting, without permission. I honestly would not want to be involved in this part of IT. No thanks when everything runs smoothly and so much negativity and pressure when it doesn’t. Sorry this was so long. Just my 2 cents.

June

Well said! Thank you!

sara

I think you’re nice 🙂

Cady

Seriously ! People had way too high of expectations for this

Reply ButtonReply

Ashley

No thank you I won’t be upgrading! I think the way they rolled this box out and the way everything is so hush hush, I don’t have respect for that and I think it’s going to be a huge mess. If you are a huge company and you know how many subscribers you have then you make at least 5 times more boxes and be ready for everyone. Not just a opps we sold out type of thing. Not far to those who have been with Boxy since day 1. I would rather spend 30.00 on three ipsy bags than Boxyluxe. I’m even thinking of cancelling my boxy charm all the way around.

Reply ButtonReply

Mandy

I’m pretty disappointed with the way it’s being handled also. Back in July the current subscribers were told they needed to be subscribed for august to qualify to upgrade , but now every person that tried to subscribe at the end of august now has the same chances. Around the end of august they were still sending multiple emails to subscribers that canceled months ago about resubbing to qualify for the upgrade. If you knew you were going to sell out why not give current faithful subscribers the chance to upgrade first ? So basically loyal subscribers that have been excited for months and made it thru the august box are going to wake up Sep 1st to be disappointed while new subscribers gain a $300 box in their mailbox.
At this point if I can’t upgrade I’m canceling .

Reply ButtonReply

paula40miller

I’m thinking the same plus to ask that we wait by our computers at 9 am on the first to rush and try to get the Luxe box is treating your customers like a cattle call not like friends. They do it on the 1st to be sure you can’t cancel that month if you don’t get it.
*** my biggest issue is that these spoilers are NOT luxurious products! Smashbox really????? That is not luxury at all. I think this is going to be just more of the same in bigger sizes.

I’m willing to pay more but for luxury items I would not buy to try.

Reply ButtonReply

stephanie

don’t forget that’s 6 AM pacific and 3 AM Hawaii. Thanks a lot, boxy. :-/

Kelly

I wouldn’t, lol. I get sick of all the tiny samples that I never even use BUT Ipsy is rolling out a Glambag Plus, which will be 5 full size products and I may just wait for that upgrade versus this one.

Reply ButtonReply

Msry

I’m waiting to see what Ipsy does as well. I have an annual sub to Ipsy.

Mel

The only thing I really want is the juice beauty. Paying the extra just for the moisturizer is still a good deal, but do I want to get stuck with even more product that I can’t seem to swap? Meh… on the fence.

Reply ButtonReply

Taylor

I’m confused on the pricing. Are they separate boxes? Do you pay $21 for the original and get the other for $49 more? And get 2 separate boxes? Or are you just paying $28 extra for a total of $49 and getting the 5 items that are coming in the boxes and getting 6 extra?

Reply ButtonReply

Jean

You don’t get both boxes, if you upgrade you only get the Luxe box which has 4 regular box items and 7 items that are only in the Luxe box

Reply ButtonReply

Tammi

Did anyone else get an email saying they’d be able to get boxyluxe if they’d reactivate their subscription, plus get the August box? I did and and I reactivated.. Now I’m on the waitlist. This kinda sucks. I don’t care about getting the August box. I want the September Boxyluxe. Now I don’t even know if I’ll get the regular box. Even if you didn’t re-activate did any new subscribers get put on the waitlist? I didn’t think there was a waitlist until I was put on it.

Tammi

Alisha

They’re really trying to make this a beauty version of Hunger Games at 9am.
Seems like LE all over again with current members left in the dark.

Reply ButtonReply

Mallory

I cancelled my subscription in July to save money and ever since then I have been getting multiple emails about reactivating my subscription so that I could get the Boxyluxe box. I swear I get an email from them atleast every like 3 days! I’m glad I haven’t given in and resubscribe because that’s crap that they then tell you your on a waiting list! The way they’re flooding my email makes me feel like they’re either worried they won’t have much interest in the Boxyluxe box or, upon hearing about the waitlist, that they’re trying to be decieteful. I loved my monthly boxycharm box and only canceled because of saving money on my end and nothing to do boxycharm itself. However, the way they’re going about things in regards to the emails and such have left a bad taste in my mouth.

Reply ButtonReply

Momo

I got am email to reactive my sub. I cancelled it after seeing the Aug spoilers (yuck). I was too late & got Aug box anyway. Email said I was now eligible for BL box after reactivating my sub, I was not put on wl. “Eligible” doesn’t mean guaranteed, u would still need to sign up Sept 1, that’s if their site doesn’t crash and/or BL sells out. I’m not amazed by BL spoilers, the new Ipsy+(coming soon to compete with BC monthly & Includes Sunday Riley!) spoilers are so much better and I’m going to add the Allure (better brands, $15 & Sunday Riley-amazing!). Since Jan, I haven’t used any of the BC lippies (4 brown, 2 orange) & havent used any of the palettes…

Reply ButtonReply

MzBev

This will really upset people, if they aren’t able to get the upgrade and have been faithful subscribers. That’s rude for them to send out those emails to get people to sign back up for the upgrade.

Reply ButtonReply

Mandy

Seriously?!?! If you know your current subscribers are interested and that your going to sell out why send a message to old members ?!?! There’s going to be a lot of faithful subscribers disappointed on the 1st.

Lori

Why hasn’t BoxyCharm made their subscribers about BoxyLuxe? I just happened to log on here and find out this way?

Reply ButtonReply

sandra

I have been getting emails from BoxyCharm. Check your spam/junk folder.

Reply ButtonReply

Maggie

I have been a subscriber for years and have not received a single email about BoxyLuxe. Honestly, I can’t decide if I even want to try to upgrade if given the chance. Really on the fence.

Kele

Nope! Hard pass for me. I’m going O spend my hard earned dollars at the Sephora 20% sale and get the products I want. Hoping to see where Boxyluxe goes from this point forward.

Reply ButtonReply

Barbara

Its crazy the thing is i jist got the tarte princess on sale for 21$ Sephora the smashvox Nicole concellio for 16$ i beleve 50 % off during ulta sale also the sol dijanerio was on sale also so eas the juice beauty i did not grab all the park ave was very hard to find but i feel like these are limited edition items you wont find agian at least 3 of wjat i see so far ….. Kinda like really ….

Reply ButtonReply

H

Nope. This is not luxe. Same old stuff. Ysl. Guerlain. By Terry. I think I need an old lady luxe box… #40yearsoldnot20

Reply ButtonReply

Reyna

Me too!

Reply ButtonReply

Irina

Boxy didn’t choise the name. They made voting and people choose between “boxyplus” and “boxyluxe”. Of course first name is closer to truth

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I think people are having issues not with the name choice, since it was voted on by subscribers, but rather that Boxy keeps referring to the items in BoxyLuxe as “luxury” items. Of course everyone has a different idea of what “luxury” means to them.

JustJese

The issue is not just the name. It’s the branding and marketing surrounding this box. Even the promo video they released kept referring to the items featured in the box as “luxury.” The items we’ve been privy to have all been mid-tier price range at most and HIGHLY accessible to the regular consumer.
I personally feel the box, considering the way it was promoted, is a huge let down and not worth the upgrade – at least not yet. With the limited edition box you got a great value and a wide range of the brands and products that were already associated with Boxy to begin with and there was no real issues as far as expectations vs. reality.

Dawn

I thought the same thing. I’m now thinking “Luxe” just means a deluxe size, not luxury brands. I was hoping Elemis (at minimum) and higher on branding, not Juice beauty.

Reply ButtonReply

Pink5

Okay, for sure not getting it.

I do not like scented face products at all.

Reply ButtonReply

Carrie

Agreed. Also, a new spoiler for the regular box would be appreciated.

Reply ButtonReply

Alisha

I’m going to be very disappointed if I can’t upgrade. This bigger box looks awesome and all the spoilers excite me. Maybe it’s because of the boxyluxe spoilers , but outside of the palette the regular box isn’t that exciting this time around. So to see all these great spoilers for only $28 more, receiving the regular box would be really disappointing.
The hank and henry brand spoiler is yet another variation.
I’ll probably end up canceling for a little if I can’t upgrade. Allure is pretty good the next few months .

Reply ButtonReply

Jess

if you guys just wait for everyone to get their boxycharm and boxyluxe boxes just go on to ebay… all the prices tank because everyone is trying to sell their products they don’t like… lol

Reply ButtonReply

Tanya M.

The spoiler for Boxycharm is the palette, correct? So we have some spoilers to be released for the regular box. I am holding on, I do need a C serum, a retoinoid and a setting spray. Let’s see what BeautyFix is dropping since there is plenty of time for other sub spoilers….. Sadly, we have a conflict with Sephora 20% popping off Friday…. only so many beauty dollars.

Reply ButtonReply

Cady

Another Boxycharm spOiler is the girlaktic or Laura Geller blush and now a lipstick variation of either hank and Henry Lorac or violet voss

Reply ButtonReply

Jacki

I am dying to try Hank and Henry…. have stayed subbed to this specifically because they said that was coming in a future box a couple months ago… I am going to be super disappointed if I get Lorac…

Caitlin

I’ve never used this because I’m so ride or die with Urban Decay but I’m really excited to get it! I hope getting up at 6am and trying to get the box right when it’s an option is enough or i’ll be a bit annoyed lol. For 4 items being almost $200, I’m sure i’ll be satisfied with the upgrade.

Reply ButtonReply

Dawn

Honestly the boxy luxe spoilers havent really blown me away. ill probably stick with the regular boxy. if we were in the summer months yes. but i live in the north east. these are very summer type products to me. so in my opinion its just not worth the extra money. i like the pretty voulgar pallette and the blush so i think ill stick it out with the 21 dollar box.

Reply ButtonReply

Kris

While I appreciate that 2 of these products are limited edition items and I use the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water daily this still isn’t enough to make me want to upgrade. In fact I’m pretty sure that I’m going to cancel my regular Boxycharm subscription. The last several months just haven’t been items that I would even consider purchasing on my own and I’ve only used 3 or 4 items and given away the rest. Boxycharm used to be my favorite subscription, but I think that they’ve been neglecting the regular monthly boxes in anticipation for BoxyLuxe. I’m hoping that the recently announced Ipsy Glambag Plus will fill the void when I cancel?!?

Reply ButtonReply

Jana

Yes – I agree. At this point, I don’t think I will go for the upgrade. The Juice Beauty item is the only thing that excites me. I have a ton of subs, so I need to be impressed.

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

What is that? I’ve been getting Ipsy for over 2 years straight and I haven’t received any email regarding Glambag Plus.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

MSA posted about Ipsy’s Glambag Plus a few posts before this one. 🙂
