Wantable is a styling service that sends clothing and accessories that fit your style. Wantable offers three different styling services: Style Edit, Fitness Edit, and Men’s Fitness Edit.

This review is of the Wantable Style Edit, $20 a month, box. 

When you sign up, you fill out an extensive style profile. They ask what kind of items you would like to receive along with size, color, style, and price point preferences. Each category is ranked with a like, dislike, or love. There is also a space to leave notes for your stylist. By the end, your stylist should have a very good idea of what you like and don’t like.

Each edit includes 5-6 clothing and accessories items picked for you by your stylist using your style profile. You have 5 days to try everything on and to send what you don’t want to purchase back in the included prepaid envelope. My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Wantable Style Edit may be completely different!

Wantable Style Edit July 2018 Review

This edit is all about low-maintenance style for summer. Let’s check it out:

Each edit includes a booklet with a note from your stylist and an invoice. This month, my stylist Tatjana sent me six clothing items and one accessory.

And here’s my invoice. If I were to keep the entire box, the $423 total would be discounted $104.60 (20% off + $20 styling fee deducted) for a total of $318.40. With this discount, each item would cost an average of $45.49.

Wantable included a card announcing a new exchange feature. You can now choose to keep, return, or exchange during checkout. Items that you want to exchange can count toward your keep 5 discount and the exchanges will be sent within a few days.

Wantable also includes a prepaid return envelope for any items I don’t want to keep.

Gentle Fawn Desi Top in Majolica Blue Rove, Size M - Cost to Keep $48 (Keep)

This is the perfect summer tank! It’s flowy and cool and the floral pattern feels tropical. I love the way the back ties and overlaps and that the back hem is lower than the front. I’d probably switch out the nude bralette for a white one next time and just embrace the straps. My go-to way of styling this will be with some white shorts and my beloved denim jacket.

Kut from the Kloth Gidget Fray Hem Short in White, Size 6 - Cost to Keep $69 (Keep)

Wadda you know? A pair of denim white shorts just perfect for the tank! I really love that these are a tad longer than most white shorts I’ve run into this summer. They are comfortable and stretchy with a mid rise. The frayed hem looks cute like this or rolled up if you want a shorter look. Now I just need to learn how to not drop food in my lap...

Z Supply Ultimate Striped Tee in White/Black, Size M - Cost to Keep $36 (Keep)

Here’s another top that goes with the shorts, or any bottoms for that matter. The fabric is a cotton/poly blend that has a slightly looser weave than many t-shirts but isn’t sheer. I love that the stripes have a watercolor effect and aren’t perfectly straight. The curved hem is longer in the front and back which is perfect for me. Oh, and can we talk about how nice it is to have some higher necklines in the wardrobe. It’s like high rise jeans...why didn’t I get on board sooner?

Olive & Oak French Terry Swing Dress in Clay Berry, Size M - Cost to Keep $60 (Keep)

OMG, I’ve never felt a dress this soft! The thin sweatshirt-like material is a blend of rayon/poly/spandex and has the perfect amount of stretch. The cut is perfect for casual wear too. It’s not too tight at the waist and isn’t boxy. In this photo, I’ve worn a pair of slip shorts (that roll up, ugh) and they show through at the hip. I’ll stick with some sleeker undies next time.

Trim & Taylor Joslyn Brass Triangle Necklace - Cost to Keep $54 (Return)

This is a pretty, simple, gold-toned necklace that works with so many different outfits. I like it but I’m trying to be selective here and I have similar necklaces already.

W. by Wantable Asymmetrical Shoulder Strap Top in Black, Size M - Cost to Keep $58 (Keep)

I’ve seen lots of the asymmetrical shoulder cutouts lately so I’m glad this shirt is included. I like the sleeve length and that the ribbon-like strap covers my bra strap perfectly. The fabric is smooth and stretchy with a slightly heathered look. I’m a big fan of split hems too and this one is also lower in the back. Yes!

Mavi Alissa High Rise Skinny in Indigo Shaded Nolita Wash, Size 28 - Cost to Keep $98 (Return)

I’m not sure what happened here, but these are not the Mavi jeans that were meant to be included. This pair is from Curve Appeal and in a size 18. They have a sleek dark wash and feel really soft and stretchy though. I’ll be sending these back but hope to try some Mavi jeans eventually because I typically love the cut.

The Verdict: Wow, what a slam dunk month for me with my Wantable Style Edit! I ended up keeping almost everything. I’m happy that a few of the items coordinate so I have some outfits built in. Even though the jeans were the wrong item, returns are easy and simple. It is so convenient to be able to try on clothes on at home, with my existing wardrobe, and on my own time. Plus, it is so fun to receive so many items! Since I kept 5 items, I received the 20% discount, and my $20 styling fee was applied to my purchase. So the total for the 5 items is $196 (including $54.2 off for the discount and the $20 styling fee applied). The discount is basically equal to an item for free. For $20 a month (which also includes free shipping and returns), Wantable Style Edit is a low-risk way of shopping for clothes in the comfort of your home.
