Uncorked Box July 2018 Review

Each month there is an info card with box contents on the back and on the front, the box theme. This month’s theme is “Sun and Sand and Wine in my Hand,” which is a message I think we can all get behind.  A coupon for Bright Cellars was also included, too! (Check out our Bright Cellars reviews and save 50% off your first box!)

Frost Flex Wine Cups Set

Frost Flex Wine Cups Set

Considering most beaches don’t allow glass cups, these cute plastic wine cups are a great way to still sip your wine in style. I really like the metallic letting that spells out “yay wine,” too. I won’t be going to a beach any time soon, but this set of 8 cups is still a great way to serve beverages at get-togethers with friends without worrying about my nicer glasses being broken. I hosted a nostalgic themed game night last night (inspired after the July Holo Hookup box that got me reminiscing), and these were perfect for it!

Drinking Buddies Drink Markers – Retail Value $11.39

Oh boy, these are a hoot! I love the attention to detail in these little drink markers—check out their abs! I displayed these in the swan below and had every grab their drinking buddy so we could tell the glasses apart. Occasionally one would fall off the glass, which would leave us laughing and talking about how Ryan (the drink marker) didn’t like Stacy anymore! These are cute, functional, and perfect for when you’re hosting a get-together with friends.

Swan Drink Floaties, set of 2

Swan Drink Floaties, set of 2

Oh swans, why have so many people created an inflatable version of you? I am a bit swanned out thanks to multiple Pop Sugar mystery boxes, but I can still appreciate the cuteness that are these drink floaties. I don’t have a pool or body of water where I will be using these, but one swan did make a great holder for all of my drinking buddies. I do also like the metallic gold font on the swan because it matches the lettering on the cups that came in this box really well!

Charles Viancin Watermelon Drink Covers, set of 2 – Retail Value $7.99

When I first saw these I wasn’t really impressed, but once I figured them out I am wondering where these have been my entire life! This drink covers are made of BPA free silicone, and when you put one over your drink and press down slightly it creates an airtight seal. This is so handy if you enjoy sitting outside with a drink in your hand because this prevents bugs and dirt from ruining your drink!

Here is a picture of the drink cover over one of the cups from this box. As you can see it is concave a bit, and that is what creates the airtight seal. These are definitely going to come in handy!

Day Drinking Napkin Set

Day Drinking Napkin Set

I think these napkins are really cute with their millennium pink and metallic rose gold lettering! My only complaint is that I wish the lettering was gold to match the swans and the cups from this box, but these will definitely still be used.

Verdict: This was my first month trying Uncorked Box and I really enjoyed it! The box is a fun mix of practical and cute items, and they really helped me host a small party in style. At $6 per item, the overall value may be a bit high for some of the items, but both the drinking buddies and drink covers have retail values higher than that, and those were my two favorite items of the box! Having a solid curation really plays a part in the value of this box, and it seems like my sense of humor aligns up pretty well with the boxes!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the August box.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $30.00 + free shipping, which means that each of the 5 items in the box has an average cost of $6.00.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.
