The Soap Shack’s The Soap Club July 2018 Review

Bartlett Pear Wine and Walnut Handmade Soap Bar, 3.5 oz – Retail Value $6.50

My wine of choice is a good Moscato- one with notes of sweet fruit without tasting artificial or cloying. This soap smells exactly like my wine of choice, and I am over the moon about it! This is made with sweet Bartlett pears and actual local wine from Lake County, as well as ground walnuts for added exfoliation. I am amazed that the surprise selection of soap contains a scent I love so much—this soap really is pear-fect (See what I did there?).

Soap Shack black tie 1 Soap Shack black tie 2

Amber Musk Activated Charcoal Handmade Soap Bar, 3.5 oz – Estimated Value $6.50

This soap isn’t available from the regular website because it was created specifically for the Soap Club! This is made with activated charcoal to help with drawing out skin impurities and tighten and smooth skin, but it is still made with the hydrating blend of olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, and cocoa butter. The end result is skin that feels truly clean without feeling tight, and I really appreciate the added perk of knowing this soap is a Soap Club box exclusive! I also appreciate the gorgeous tie-dye swirls, and the amber musk scent is sultry and feminine. This is definitely the bar of soap I would reach for if I was getting ready for a date.

The Verdict: This was another fun month of The Soap Club from The Soap Shack! I love the scent and mild exfoliation from the Lake County soap, and I love the exclusivity of the Black Tie soap combined with the fact that it is made with activated charcoal. The fact that The Soap Shack only uses food-grade quality oils and butter is evident when using the soap, and I thought being surprised by the scent choices was a rather inexpensive delight (how many times are we actually surprised by items in a subscription box these days considering our need for spoilers?). I am excited to see what scents are chosen to surprise me next month, and these soaps leave me wanting to try more products from The Soap Shack line.

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you sign up today? believe if you choose to be surprised your box will start with August, but if you want to try the Lake County soap you can choose it as one of your scents!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $12.95 and I received two bars of soap. It is essentially like getting the cost of shipping for free by subscribing!

  1. I just ordered a 3 month sub as a birthday gift for my bff. Perfect!

  2. I totally like this box, but right now I am at my box limit. This goes on my list for when one of my current subs is done or maybe if a good coupon comes up before then….. : )
