Pet Treater Cat Pack July 2018 Review

There’s not a traditional information card with this subscription, but you get a couple of other inserts including a humorous sticker.

Colorama Cats and Kittens: 10 Postcards – Estimated Value $5.95

This was a little difficult to locate online but I found it as an add-on item on Amazon (i.e., buy $25 worth of stuff, of which this counts as contributing towards the price, and you can order this). I think this is the first time I have seen a non-toy/treat/costume item from this subscription, though Pet Treater regularly sends books and such in their dog subscription. At any rate, I don’t do much coloring but every now and then I get the urge, and I do have some nice colored pencils, and this is probably about the right size for me – a full coloring book would never get all used up, but this might.

Caru Soft ‘n Tasty Salmon Recipe Baked Bites (3 oz)

Caru Soft ‘n Tasty Salmon Recipe Baked Bites (3 oz) – Retail Value $5.99

I was not previously familiar with this brand, but these are grain free and made in the US and the expiration date on the package wasn’t until sometime next year, so I felt OK giving these to my kitties. I would dispute the “soft” part of the product name, but it’s entirely possible these had been sitting on a shelf in a warehouse for a while. Sneaky and Madison were fans, anyway.

From the Field “Sammy’s Saturn” – Retail Value $6.23

I will never, ever complain about getting toys from this brand. My cats go wild for them. I know it looks like a bag of catnip, and that’s part of why my cats like them – there is so much catnip, the toys are pretty much irresistible. (I know you can’t see the toy in this picture, but there are plenty of photos of it out of the package down below. I do find these to lose potency as soon as they are opened and I wanted to keep it as strong as possible to get good reactions from my cats.)

Petlinks Swift Roller Raffia teaser Cat Toy

Petlinks Swift Roller Raffia teaser Cat Toy – Estimated Value $4.99

I found this on eBay for almost $9, but it isn’t available from any non-reseller sources, and that’s a little bit of a high price for a new Petlinks toy, so I’ve estimated the value based on past experience.  At any rate, my cats tend to appreciate different textures in toys and this has several.  Mr. Kitty even bit it!

Gratuitous cat photos:

Angus sniffs the treats.  He didn’t actually end up eating any, though.

He really liked the Saturn toy, though (and here you can get a good look at it outside of the baggie).

Madison was hiding under the bed at first. I didn’t have a lot of hope.

But he rubbed his face on the Saturn toy.

And then he came out from under the bed and went into full-on “high on catnip” mode.

He also liked the treats.

Monkey didn’t feel much like playing. But he did lick this toy a lot. You can see the tip of his tongue if you look carefully.

Sneaky thought this toy was interesting.

But you know she lives for treats.

Mr. Kitty bit the raffia toy.

And here he rubs his chin on the Saturn toy. Yes, he has some gross-looking discharge out of his remaining eye. He has a virus that causes this. Rest assured he is regularly seeing the veterinary ophthalmologist (about every three weeks right now) and is on 9 eye drops a day, so we are on top of it.

Verdict: I calculated a value of $23.16 for the July 2018 Pet Treater Cat Pack (I only had to estimate one value). This was a good month for us as the toys were extra popular and at least a couple of my cats liked the treats.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you’d receive August's package as your first shipment.

I think he is happy that I take the cone off for pictures. (He is still trying to rub his eye.)

That’s a good price for a box for my cats. I may have to try this one too.
Great review and pictures, as always.

Ragan, Thanks for another great review! I just read a review on amazon and I thought “boy that sure seems a lot like Ragan” and then I looked at the pic and it was you! I’m bowled over not only by all the reviews you have done, but also by all the pet experience you have. The reviews are a great resource! Thanks again.

Oh, I quit reviewing on Amazon last year but I didn’t delete anything. I guess there are still lots of reviews up there.
