When you sign up, you’ll fill out the Ivory Clasp questionnaire, letting their stylists know what patterns, colors, materials, and shapes you prefer in the bags you buy. In addition to answering questions, you’ll go through several screens of “select the bags you’d be happy to get” to provide even more specific information about what you’d like to receive.

When your curation is ready, they will send you an e-mail giving you a few days to select the specific bag that you wish to receive. If you do not select a bag, their stylists will select one for you and you’ll get to be surprised.

My Subscription Addiction received this box for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Ivory Clasp Handbag Subscription for June 2018

With212 Essex Shoulder Bag – Retail Value $68

A new chic addition to the Essex family, this shoulder is sure to turn heads. Roomy enough for all your essentials, yet compact for those chic nights out on the town. Dress it up or wear it with a casual look!

This black and camel colored faux leather bag measures 9”h x 13”w x 6.3″ d and features a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap. I love that I can use it as a clutch, or carry it cross-body (which is how I typically carry my bags).

This bag is fully lined with a black and white striped fabric and features several pockets to help keep your organized. It’s plenty big to hold all of my typical handbag contents, and then some. It feels like it’s of good quality, even though it’s faux leather, and it has a classic, classy appeal.

It’s worth noting that this month Ivory Clasp sent a few special extra cards for an online make-up artist course for an “exclusive to Ivory Clasp” price of $34 – I wasn’t interested in taking this class, but if I was I would have been disappointed that this is the July shipment and the coupon code expired on 6/30/18.

The Verdict: This month I let Ivory Clasp select the bag for me but only because, in all honesty, I didn’t really care for any of the options that were available during my choice window. The bags are starting to look the same to me, the selection is dwindling, and although I do like this bag, I plan to donate it to Dress for Success, and let it help make a woman who needs it feel special. In the value department, this bag retails for $68, and I paid $49 with the subscription. I wish there were more brand choices that I know and love, and not so many private label options.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You can definitely still sign up, but what bag you get depends on what you enter into your style profile and what’s available. There’s no guarantee that you’ll get to pick this same look, but you might get something else that’s just your style!

Value Breakdown: Ivory Clasp costs $49.00 per month including free shipping, and I received a bag valued at $68.00 – a savings of 28% off retail.

  1. I remember the first couple months after this sub started it got pretty good comments/mini reviews on its review pages. Sad to see that’s not the case anymore

  2. Yup…agree with all you guys. When I joined IC, they had brands and variety. I got a Betsey Johnson, a brand I didn’t know but a beautiful bag set, a Steve Madden…then when they started sending the pick-your-own option, the bags started to get really monotonous. I started skipping months, and eventually just gave the sub up. I didn’t miss my monthly structured bag in a slightly different shade than the one before.

  3. It’d be nice to have a picture of you holding it. It’s hard to picture the size of it.

  4. I got my first bag from Bolzano last week and it’s great. A large brown real leather bucket bag. I’m interested to see what I get next month. Worth the risk for only $19.95, unlike this brand.

    • Good to know! I just checked them out and am interested!

  5. What a bummer! I would be upset if I received that. It is so nice you decided to donate it.

  6. I signed up back when they had the $30 special. I did quarterly and received two bags from them before canceling. The first bag I liked pretty well. Second time around (three months later, since it was quarterly), the selection was the same. I ended up picking the same bag as my first one, just a different color. I cancelled. Bolzano has really caught my eye, but my biggest hang up to subscribing is that you can’t cancel without emailing. I’ve had a few subs just up and disappear along with my money, so that makes me hesitant to try it out.

    • I just cancelled Bolzano with no difficulty. I received two bags from them and I liked them although they were somewhat smaller than I was used too. I have about 8 bags from Ivory Clasp. I got in with them right when they started and at that time you had more options that they would send you. I got a couple of well known name brands and then the other ones all seem to be house brands. I do enjoy the bags of theirs that I have and I always get compliments on a couple of their bags that I use regularly. But I cancelled mainly due to the “how many purses do I actually need” factor. But I agree with everyone that the options to pick from seem to be getting fewer and fewer.

  7. Same purse options every quarter/month. Where are the summer colors? I switched to Bolzano 2 months ago. Only $19.99/month.

    • How is the quality with Bolzano? I have considered that one,

  8. After three bags in a row from with212, I canceled. I had even emailed them and asked them specifically not to send me another bag from them. No dice.

  9. I think With212 is like their house brand so I feel like the value is inflated. I only had Ivory Clasp for a few months but the bags they sent me were pretty boring. And the with212 has nice hardware, but all of the piping cracked, in less than a year. I would give Ivory Clasp two thumbs down.

  10. I signed up around Christmas for lifetime $29.99 and quarterly. I was so excited. Cancelled after receiving my third purse. I chose from the same 12 choices all 3 times. With 212 was the only brand available. Very disappointing.

  11. I have 2 bags so far from With212 and love them both, however I totally agree that all the bags are starting to look the same. I decided last month to just keep skipping my bag for the month if they didn’t change their stock. Lo and behold, they haven’t. I’m hoping by the end of the summer they have something worthy of my attention or else I’m gonna have to cancel it outright.

  12. I like the purse but the expired code and only 18 less then retail paid? Yikes

  13. Wow, thats ugly
