GQ Best Stuff Box Spring 2018 Review

The Spring 2018 box features 7 items with a Breda watch as the big-ticket item!

There's a little fold-out information card/poster.

On the back, you'll find details, including the retail price, for all of the items in your box.

Breda Visser Watch - Value $90

The biggest item in the box is the square watch from Breda. If you like this watch, then you're in luck because its value is much higher than the cost of this box.

There's almost something mid-century modern to the look of this watch. The square watch face is a nice touch, too - it's about the same size as an Apple watch.

The biggest perk, in my opinion, is the lightweight and thin housing. It creates a light and low-profile watch, with a classic look that will go with a lot of different outfits.

The stainless steel housing is water resistant and the watch runs with Japanese quartz movement.

It is a genuine leather strap, and while the caramel color isn't my favorite, it's still a slimmer design that I wouldn't mind wearing if it compliments an outfit.

Goodr Running Sunglasses - Value $25

As someone who wears glasses, I wasn't able to try these out - but that's ok, Liz snapped them up so quickly and loves them.

While the plastic is lightweight, it also seems super durable at the same time.

Goodr sunglasses have lenses that protect your eyes from UVA and UVB rays - and are made to not fall off while running.

Areaware Bent-Nail Bottle Opener - Value $12

You'll get a bent nail bottle opener from Areaware.

It's a design that I've seen out there before. That being said, I'm not sure that they all come with two magnets - one to attach to a fridge on the back...

And one to snap up your bottle caps as you open them up.

It's simple, but an effective opener to have on hand.

Skin Laundry Purifying Cleansing Cloths - Value $7.50

One of my most-used items in the box comes from Skin Laundry - you'll get 10 individually wrapped cleansing cloths.

These are great to keep in a dopp kit, take on the go, or just have in the house. I use them when my face is feeling a bit oily - and they work like a charm.

They sent out a promo code with your cleansing cloths as well.

Anthony Hand Cream - Value $16

This is a full-size version of Anthony's hand cream. It really softens your hands up with a tiny drop - plus, it doesn't leave a really oily residue and has a pleasant minty scent.

Image Skincare Prevention+ Moisturizer SPF 32 - Value $39

The next item is a full-size moisturizer with SPF 32. I really like this stuff! It has that feeling of a sunscreen, but it rubbed it pretty quickly and didn't leave any traces of itself on my face - on top of that, it has a really nice scent.

BOIE Use Toothbrush - Value $12

This toothbrush is a little different than anything I've tried before.

The bristles are a soft rubber-like material. These bristles are antimicrobial and its entirely BPA free.

I'm not one to care about the look of a toothbrush, but this thing is sleek in matte black. I always keep toothbrushes in a dopp kit and keep them ready for travel.

Verdict: This all adds up to a value of $201.50 - that's really good for the price point. Also, if you only like the watch, then everything else is really a bonus. Surprisingly, my favorite items in the box were the skincare items - I enjoyed all three, and those items account for the cost of the box - so I couldn't help be really like the second shipment of this box.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? I don't believe so - they seem to be in waitlist mode for subscriptions at the moment. The FAQ also notes: "The specific box you receive will depend on the date you signed up and how that corresponds with the shipping deadlines of the quarterly boxes. You may contact customer service at: 1-800-999-6536 for the specifics."

Are you guys still reviewing these gQ boxes? My son received his 3rd
Box and just loves it.
Communication is not the greatest with them. This quarter they didn’t email a tracking number and it just showed up today.

I can’t understand whbscription box would be so unresponsive. I ordered a 1-year subscription from GQ Best Stuff as a gift and it has been a nightmare. Every box has been late and when you e-mail them they reply with a vague ‘we will let you know when your box ships’ e-mail.

The spoilers for the current box are up but no word on when it is expected to ship.

If they had been upfront about delays I would be o.k. with it but this is crazy and very embarrassing as a gift giver.

Fall box spoilers are out. Wonder when the box will ship?

Image skincare is great! I get it at my dermatologist’s office. Sure wish this box was still available. I guess I’ll get on the waitlist.

That toothbrush looks neat. I have those sunglasses in another color and they are amazing at staying on your face and not fogging. I have 3 pairs now.

Awesome box! My husband and I both love our Boie toothbrushes. Replacement heads are $5. Personally I am someone who has struggled with the sound of brushing my teeth for 30+ years and I’m able to use the Boie because it doesn’t sound like a normal brush.

Are the bristles soft or firm?
