Facetory SEVEN LUX June 2018 Review
This month’s box came with a ‘how to’ card to show you exactly how you should be using each mask, in general. As always, there is a monthly information card that outlines each mask from the box! There is a little description so you know exactly how to use each mask. The card does a great job in listing out key ingredients and benefits. This is super helpful! Plus there are from quotes from various beauty editors on why they love each mask.
Oseque Dual Bubble Toctoc Mask – Retail Value $6.00
I love bubble masks so much! You only want to keep this one on for about 10 minutes at the most because your face is filled with bubbles almost instantly that are working to clean your skin. Sugar cane extract is one of the main ingredients that work as an antiseptic to exfoliate and smooth your skin. The mask also contains salicylic acid which comes from willow bark that kills bacteria deep within your skin. You are left with a squeaky clean finish.
Bano Baby Face Injection Mask – Retail Value $4.50
I didn’t notice my skin looking fuller after using this mask, but it did feel baby smooth. This was the perfect mask to use before applying makeup. The scent was very light so this was one that I felt I could keep on for a while without feeling overwhelmed, plus it fit my face perfectly. It is made of soybean oil and adenosine which help to diminish wrinkles, sun damage while tightening and soothing any irritations.
When 10:00 PM Mask – Retail Value $9.00
I am really happy I used this mask at night, it didn’t say to, but something about the name made me think it was appropriate. The mask was like jelly so it stuck to my skin nicely and left a ton of serum for my skin to soak in. The mask itself is meant to tone and tighten so I woke to a fuller look that was very refreshing. The hydrolyzed collagen reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines so even if you don’t see results right away, this is the sort of mask that is great to use consistently for long-term results. Plus, look at that retail value, I think this is one of the most expensive masks I have seen so it’s got to be great, right?!
Rose Heart Deep Moisturizing Pink Mask – Retail Value $5.00
This is a two-step mask, my favorite! You start by applying the mask, a serum that is filled with rosa centifolia flower water and polyphenol, both made of antioxidants to help protect your skin and lock in moisture. The second step is to apply a moisturizer that is made of hyaluronic acid, which provides lasting moisture to dry skin. My skin was very dry after returning from the beach so this mask was just what I needed. The rose scent was so relaxing while the mask really helped to bring back moisture to my skin that the long days in the sun removed.
Leaders Insolution Juicy Pina Colada Bright Mask, Pineapple & Coconut – Retail Value $3.50, Listed Value $4.00
The smell of this mask was so fruity and intense I couldn’t keep it on for very long. The mask really focuses on improving enlarged pores, uneven skin tones, reducing inflammation, all while hydrating. I didn’t notice any huge changes after using this mask, but I did have an overall fresh glow to me. The coconut water really works to help lighten and brighten your skin while the pineapple extract brings in that yummy hydration.
Meg. Two Step Jelly Mask, Soothing & Brightening – Retail Value $6.00
This two-step jelly mask was incredible! I started by using the AHA peeling swab which is meant to exfoliate your skin. The swab is also filled with lactic acid that helps to reduce acne. Next, I used the mask which was ultra soothing. You only need to keep this on for up to 20 minutes, but I swear I was so relaxed I could have kept in on longer. The mask is made up of rosa damascena flower extract which really works to cleanse your skin while soothing and minimizing redness. I had a few breakouts from wearing so much sunscreen lately, but I woke to refreshed skin and limited redness. Always a welcome surprise in the morning!
NO:HJ Modeling Mask Serum Chrysanthemum – Retail Value $4.00
This mask had a ton of extra serum so I was glad I used it at night before bed to allow everything to drink into my skin. The chrysanthemum scent was very strong yet refreshing. The best part of this mask is that it is made with gold extract, which is filled with anti-aging ingredients while providing your skin with elasticity. The lavender extract was soothing while combating bacteria and preventing future breakouts. My skin looked fresh with a healthy glow after using this mask.
Verdict: Facetory is always a winner in my book, mainly because it is a box of pampering delivered right to my door. I was really impressed with the overall value in this month’s masks and loved seeing two multi-step masks as well. I really love the overall curation as well because it seems that Facetory is taking into account the season we are in. This month really focused on helping with skin repair while also hydrating, something I always need in high summer when I have seen just a bit too much sunshine.
