Baby Gap OutfitBox Subscription Review – Summer 2018
Baby Gap released a quarterly subscription box! They send you over $100 of mix-and-match pieces chosen based off your size and style preferences. Right now, they offer sizes 0 months-3T. You pay for the whole box when you order, but they make it really easy to send back anything you don’t love.
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
This is a review of a box of “Classic” style clothing for a boy, size 3T. Their website currently says “5T coming soon!” so I assume that also means the addition of 4T! (Size 0-3 months also may choose “newborn essentials” instead of a classic or fun style box.)

Baby Gap OutfitBox Summer 2018 Review
There’s always a packing sheet showing my items, their retail prices, and “My Price” for each item – the money I’d be refunded for returning each item.
The “My Prices” add up to $70, the cost of the box, so if you return an item, you get that amount refunded to you. Every box also includes a pre-paid return envelope to send back any items you don’t love.
GapKids Disney Mickey Mouse Baseball Hat (free gift) – Estimated Value $16.95
I’m basing the value of this hat on the prices of other toddler baseball caps from Gap. It’s adorable! I’ll need to iron the ears just a little in order to get them to stick up better.
Stripe Pocket T-Shirt – Retail Value $19.95, My Price: $12.07 (currently on sale for $11.99)
I love this shirt! Gap makes great basics and I know this shirt will get a lot of wear and hold up well. The colors are also my favorite – they were actually my wedding colors. Gideon wears t-shirts just about every day so I’m always happy to get more.
5 Everyday Shorts in Twill – Retail Value $19.95, My Price: $12.07
These shorts are a great quality. They are just slightly loose on his hips so I know we’ll have room to grow, and I expect he’ll even be able to wear these next summer. I know he’s kneeling in the photo in which he’s wearing them but I can only get my two-year-old to cooperate so much, haha. Navy bottoms are so versatile; these are another winner.
Flappy Graphic T-Shirt – Retail Value $19.95, My Price: $12.07
This shirt makes me giggle. It’s silly and unexpected and is also the same good quality construction I know to expect from Gap. It’s quirky and different and the kind of tee Gideon likes to wear. This is perfect for summer. I will say this item seems like it belongs more in the “fun” style box, but it’s cute and quirky and just one shirt out of all of them, so it’s still a win for me.
Contrast Tank Top – Retail Price $12.95, My Price: $7.83
It’s been quite a consistently very hot Summer even in Michigan so far, so this tank top is so welcomed! He’s already worn it a couple times! I really appreciate the length of this, too, since Gideon is very tall for his age and I know this will be comfortable and stay in place while he plays.
Pull-On Shorts in French Terry – Retail Price $19.95, My Price: $12.07
Like the other shorts, these are just a bit loose around the waist, but they have a drawstring so they work. These will definitely work next summer, too, given their width and longer length! Looking through the reviews for these shorts on Gap’s website, someone commented that Gap’s toddler shorts tend to run large and to size down if your child is slimmer, so that sounds consistent with what I’m finding.
Popsicle Short Sleeve Shirt in Poplin – Retail Value $22.95, My Price: $13.89
This shirt! This shirt takes the cake for this box! Gideon is currently OBSESSED with popsicles this summer! Obsessed. He absolutely loves this shirt, and I think novelty prints are just adorable so I do, too.
The Verdict: This is GAP’s fourth Baby Gap OutfitBox shipment, and it’s one of my all-time favorite subs. Before this subscription, I had never shopped at Baby Gap before (there’s never been one near me). The “classic” style category was a perfect choice for my style, and everything is definitely high quality, just our style, and adorable. I love how fun it helps me have fun dressing my son! (sometimes it feels like girls get all the fun/cute clothes, you know?) Also, returns are super easy with the prepaid bag. I think a seasonal/quarterly box is a smart choice for their model, price point, and product.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, but it depends on the style you choose. As of right now, it looks as if the fun option is sold out for summer and the website directs you to check back in September for their Fall collection. So, you should be able to order the Classic option, as shown in this review, as of publication. Also, your box contents vary for choosing a box for a girl instead of a boy.
Value Breakdown: For $70, I got $115.70 retail value, not including the free gift hat. You can see what you pay for each item individually because the “My Price” numbers are designed to add up to the cost of the box already. This is so you know what you’ll get refunded for sending any items back.
