Wantable Style Edit Plus Clothing May 2018 Review
When I signed up for this service, I took a pretty lengthy quiz in which I indicated my price, size and style preferences. I would expect what I receive to be reflective of my tastes, and for these boxes to vary quite a bit from a subscriber to subscriber. There is also a note from my stylist, Allysa. It explains why she chose the items she picked for me.
This is the invoice for the items they sent me this month. On the right, it shows my cost to keep each item. The total comes to $433. If I keep everything, I get 20% off, plus I get my $20 styling fee deducted. That means a potential discount of $106.60. That's a deep discount!
Bead & Chain Tassel Necklace by W. by Wantable - Cost to Keep $38
For the first time since I started my wantable style subscription, I received accessories! I'm not quite sure how I feel about that yet, but it's nice to have an accessories option. This necklace is so pretty, just look how the little stones sparkle! I would say they might be hematite, but for this price, I'm guessing it's glass or plastic. In any case, this necklace is totally my style, but I don't really like my necklaces or pendants to dip that low. I guess it's a modesty thing.
Abree Crossbody by Street Level - Cost to Keep $52
This purse is so cute for summer! I love a white bag in the summertime! It is very soft for faux leather. I like all the little pockets, too. I don't really have the right figure to wear a crossbody purse, but this is definitely tempting. To get a sense of length, you can see it in one of the pictures below.
Drawstring Shoulder Linen Tee by Vince Camuto Casual - Cost to Keep $69
Look at how pretty this tee is! I love the drawstring sleeve detail. It is a linen blend, but it has a knit feel. I think I would love it more if it were not slightly sheer, but I still really like it a lot. It is definitely lightweight and cool for summer!
Emilia Skinny Trouser Pant by Kut From The Kloth - Cost to Keep $98
These pants fit like a glove. That's what I have come to expect from Kut From The Kloth - super soft clothes that fit really well. They are a cotton blend, and the color is super dark black. I like them!
Ruffle Sleeve Mixed Media Top by Vince Camuto Casual - Cost to Keep $59
I don't love this top. The tee portion is a light gray cotton knit, while the white sleeves and lower hem are chiffon. I get what the shirt is going for, and it is executed fairly well, but this is not really my style. Plus, I think I might already have way too many light gray tees.
Mickey Button Down Shirt by Piper - Cost to Keep $68
Generally speaking, I like the cut and the color and the plaid print of this linen/cotton blend button-down top. But boy, is the material thick! I would never buy a long sleeve, heavy shirt in May (in Georgia). I would love to see something like this in October! Also, this particular top doesn't fit very well, unfortunately.
Mosaic Printed Top by Lucky Brand - Cost to Keep $49
And of course, my favorite piece in the box this month is from Lucky Brand! I love almost everything from Lucky. Why? For starters, this top is 60% cotton, 40% modal, which gives it structure with a bit of stretch but still feels like a natural fiber. I love the colors and the mosaic print! The cut is super flattering, too. And finally, check out the open back, it's just perfect for a backless summer top! It's just the right amount of openness.
The Verdict: I really love my Wantable Style Edit! This month's package had a lot of great pieces in it, but my favorites are the Lucky top and the black Vince Camuto tee. I feel like, in terms of cost and value, Wantable sends a good mix of inexpensive and pricier pieces. I also love that they send seven pieces! It's so fun!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Wantable curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!
Value Breakdown: This box cost $20.00 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside was $433.00. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 20% discount. The $20.00 cost of the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning Iíd end up spending $326.40 for the whole box. Ultimately, that's a savings of about 25%. The average price per piece is $61.86.
