Sticky Kit May 2018 Review

Sticky Kit Washi Tape June 2018 Thank You

Sticky Kit Washi Tape June 2018 Sticky Pad

Seashell Sticky Notes

Usually included in this subscription is a small card thanking subscribers and directing them to the Sticky Kit website. Sometimes their site has information about what tapes were included in that month’s box, but this month that info hasn’t been provided yet. Sticky Kit also includes a bonus non-tape item in their washi tape kits and this time it was a small pad of sticky notes decorated with seashells along the edges. When I say it was small, I mean both in diameter and in that it only includes 5 pages. I’ve already put this in my desk drawer to use for little work reminders throughout my day!

Sticky Kit Washi Tape June 2018 Pineapples

Pineapple Washi Tape – Buy a similar tape here for $4.99

This month’s tapes feature vibrant colors and summery themes, like this white roll that’s decorated with pineapples—both whole and slices. I’m all about the tropical fruit trend, but often times clothes and accessories that feature them are a little too loud for my style. So washi tape is the perfect way to partake!

Sticky Kit Washi Tape June 2018 Charger

I put this fun tape to use on my phone charger. When I travel, I always bring one with me but often lose track of whether the charger is mine or someone else’s. This is a great way of differentiating between other people’s chargers, and I might even switch it up by season. If I were to use a thinner tape, I could also wrap it around the USB part of the cord, too.

Sticky Kit Washi Tape June 2018 Fish

Sticky Kit Washi Tape June 2018 Aquarium

School of Fish Washi Tape – Buy a similar tape here for $3.22

How cute are these vibrant fish? I feel like kids would love this tape, though it isn’t so juvenile that adults couldn’t use it too. This tape makes me want to go scuba diving!

Sticky Kit Washi Tape June 2018 Pebbles

Sticky Kit Washi Tape June 2018 Rocks

Space Craft Silver Foil Pebble Washi Tape – Retail Value $4.86

This tape is a little fancier than the others with its silver-accented pebble pattern and die cut edges. The pattern reminds me of stones you might find in a river or fish tank, though perhaps more bright and dynamic in a pattern than either.

Sticky Kit Washi Tape June 2018 Plant

I decided to use this tape to trim the edge of this plant’s pot. With the green leaves against my green walls and the terra cotta pot against the copper table, I felt it could use a pop of color. This tape adds interest without distracting from the beauty of the plant, in my opinion!

Sticky Kit Washi Tape June 2018 Beach

Sticky Kit Washi Tape June 2018 Beachy

Beachfront Washi Tape – Buy a similar tape here for $3.00

And, finally, a tape depicting an oceanside scene. This die cut tape is beautifully detailed, with a beachy setting including palm trees, grass-roof huts, a fruit cart, a hotel, a bar, bikes, and more. Can I please go there right this second? It just looks way too inviting!

The Verdict: This month’s Sticky Kit Washi Tape offerings were so perfect for the season! As is often the case, it was a mix of lighthearted patterns and more detailed, artful options. I always love the variety! This subscription costs $16.99 and often the contents add up to almost that amount. Even when they don’t, the element of surprise makes it worth the small gap in value for me.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, if you order now you’ll receive July’s box. The July kit will ship between July 1-7.

Value Breakdown: I received 4 rolls of washi tape and 1 pad of sticky notes in this kit. At $16.99 for this box ($14.99 + $2.00 shipping), I paid approximately $3.40 per item.

  1. Just got washi tape at Michael’s for 3 for $1.00!!!!

    • Thanks for the FYI. I’m going to head over there and see what designs they have.

  2. The pineapple washi tape is perfect for summer. I love your idea of wrapping it around a phone charger plug! I usually use boring Avery labels to identify which is mine, but this has much more personality 😉

    • I love that with washi tape, you can easily peel it off and switch it up sometimes, too. Keeps things interesting!

      • Totally agree, love how easily it peels off and yet can still be reused w/o losing it’s stickiness. I never even knew what washi tape was until I started receiving swap items with it. Lol
