Green Piñata June 2018 Review
I received this insert about a book called Andrew The Blue-Eared Puppy. So cute!
My son, Fox is 2-years-old and very active. Let’s see what toys this month’s Green Piñata brought:
3D Airplane Puzzle by Hape – Retail Value $14.99
This three-piece puzzle was easy to assemble, but my son had some trouble getting the parts to fit just right. Once it was built he loved it! We live near an airport so we see planes flying all the time so I knew Fox would enjoy this toy. It is meant to help build your little one’s fine motor and cognitive skills. A fun little toy that would be easy to take with you!
This block set is great and there are so many pieces to it! I will say though I was surprised to see the price online because while the set is beautiful, it doesn’t seem too different from others that I have seen online for less. Each side has a different letter, number, or colored photo of something simple that your little one can learn the word of. Fox grabbed these blocks right away and held one up to tell me that it was a front door! This toy is great for fine motor, cognitive, language and math skills.
Bobble Caterpillar by Haba – Retail Value $13.50
This toy is so fun and a great way to help your child’s creativity really shine! Fox loves caterpillars so I knew this toy would be a hit. He loved building a caterpillar in all different lengths to wiggle around. We would match the same pattern together or mix patterns and colors to get a different version each time. This would be a great toy to take with you to a restaurant or on a car trip since it is so portable.
Shapes & Colors by Haba – Estimated Value $17.99
I wasn’t able to find this exact game, but I found a similar one just with different patterns. There are instructions that come with this game, but you really can make of it what you want. You can have your little one identify each pieces shape, color, and pattern. They can use pieces to mix and match building a butterfly, something Fox really loved doing, or you can use the dice to select a color to match it to the game board. This game didn’t hold Fox’s attention as much as I had hoped it would, but he did love playing with it here and there on his own.
Here is Fox discovering his new toys this month!
Verdict: Green Piñata is such a great way to bring fresh toys into your house each month. I can keep the toys for as long as I want, purchase any that we can’t part with, or send them all back for a fresh new box! I kept these toys for a rainy day, and it was such a nice way to distract Fox from not being able to go outside. Plus, I love discovering each new set of toys with him, we learn and discover each one together. My house is usually filled with toys so I will say how nice it is to just package everything back up once we are done with that month’s toys, it really makes me feel as though I am clearing through all of the clutter in my house.
To Wrap Up:
Can I still get this box if I sign up today? Each box is customized to your child’s age, so you might not get this exact box. You can order today to get a May box!
