one thing i can say that i do not like about this months box is that before i can use everything id have to go to the store and make a purchase, i dont wear nor like fake lashes and therefore have no glue and kinda sad to be missing out on 28$ worth of my box.. yes i do love the eye palette and the bub bum cream could be bigger but nice. not enjoying getting a lippie every month either..i think the lashes just got me down…

About allergens- I have a severe allergy to an herb which is frequently used in essential oil natural type products.. They are quite expensive in most cases and I discard the item IF IT CONTAINS THE HERB/ PLANT FLOWER I AM ALLERGIC TO.
It is difficult to keep seeing the overwhelming trend to keep on scenting products with this flowering herb when there are so many more fresh and modern scents but it’s a ” thing’, so I deal and I don’t criticize boxes which contain high value items containing it . I could also argue that many people are allergic to this herbal ingredient but to what end?
However, because there are so many individual fragrances which are artificial in most skin care products, I read the ingredient list or label on the products I get. It’s the only way to be safe with severe allergies.
Please read labels- There are no nuts in the Brazilian Bum Bum cream.
Let’s try to be kind and helpful and not argue over something that doesn’t even exist in this box.
Boxycharm reads here. How do you think all of this might affect their desire to curate highly wanted products like the RDJ line?

I think that it might make them think that maybe we don’t want highly scented products, which I for one DO NOT WANT. Maybe if Boxy sees this they’ll consider adding an allergy replacement product system, which if I’m understanding correctly, would benefit you as well. Maybe if Boxy sees this it will help them hurry up and make much needed improvements to their box that they’ve been promising to do for a long time. Maybe it will help other ppl be aware of boxy’s shortcomings or make boxy aware of their shortcomings and give them clues as to why ppl are quitting them. It gives boxy more info and more info is never a bad thing for a business to have.
Plus, ppl with allergies that are severe enough to cause death before help can arrive (not just cause minor irritation) aren’t going to take a chance with a product that smells so heavily of an item that they’re deadly allergic to. Why is it so much more important to some folks that they get their hands on “in demand” “highly requested” or “popular” products rather than the health and safety of their fellow human beings? It’s not a matter of whether or not the health risks for this particular product are valid, not for what I’m asking. I’m asking when and why procuring low cost beauty products became more important than the health and safety of actual people? When did ppl become so selfish that the value of material goods started to outweigh the value of living, breathing human beings?

The simple like it or don’t like it thought/opinion goes for every box and/or purchase. and there is No need to be nasty or cruel to another subscriber just because they have a different opinion about something. For me, reading the different opinions in the comments is why I like to read the comments. I actually learn a lot from comments, I even get tips & ideas from comments but the nasty & cruel comments towards another person does No One any good. Instead of a nasty comment to the one with the allergy, you could simply have just said “sorry about your allergy but I Love Bum Cream and I’m really happy I’m receiving bum cream this month and/or you could have helped her out and give her an idea on how to solve her problem, like “Hey you could try contacting Boxycharm customer service to see if they can help you or hey there are many websites and pages that have people who swap beauty products from their beauty subscriptions. It’s really easy to be nice and takes much less energy, plus it makes you feel good about yourself.

So far I feel like I’m wasting my money with this box. Boxycharm seriously needs to personalize their boxes. It’s pretty bad when a 10 dollar box is way better (way better personalizing too) than a 21 dollar box!

I swear boxy is the best!!! They really spoil their subscribers. It’s like Christmas every month. I know you can’t make everyone happy ,and some people will just always find a reason to complain. I mean we spend $21 and receive many AMAZING products….I don’t like every single item , but every box exceeds my $21 expectations. I’ve also found items I wasn’t excited about ended up being my favorite. I don’t wear lashes but this gives me a reason to start trying to figure them out .

I have to believe that our 6th item in this month’s box is going to be either a blush, contour or bronzer due to those 3 face brushes from Luxie. AND if that is true, the box will be valued at much more than $130. I luv Boxy…

I’m thinking that with what they said abt concentrating on lash application that at least 1 if not both of the remaining items will be abt those lashes. Maybe lash glue or an applicator or even one of those mini lash kits that have glue, scissors, etc in them. But I agree that the box value they gave us of $130+ was misleading. I thought it would be a max of $139 bc they said $130+ not $140, but adding the 4 items we know of equals $128 and the ofra lippie is $17. That’s $145. Unless they’re not counting the bum bum bc it’s not full sized, but that’s just $10 and the 6th item would take the value over $140 again. I think they said $130+ but it’s going to be valued closer to $150.

I hope I get the more neutral lippie since last month I got a color I couldn’t wear. The formula was awful too, but even if it was awesome I wouldn’t wear it bc it was so bright.

I wish this box didn’t have the bum bum cream in it, because it has a pistachio and almond scent to it. As someone who is deathly allergic to pistachios, I really wish boxycharm didn’t include a product that has a tree nut scent. I’m definitely going to give that cream to a friend or throw it out.

Gosh, you can’t make this stuff up I swear. I guess the grocery store should stop selling pistachios too, huh? How dare they offer pistachios to other people when you can’t eat them. lmao I hope you realize how silly you sound. The rest of us can use and will love to have this product. Again, idk why ppl have to be so nasty and why they can’t try to be more understanding when it comes to problems other ppl have. Try to put yourselves into the other person’s place. Pretend that you have a life threatening allergy and that even opening the box is dangerous. Now imagine you’re a person that doesn’t enjoy the spoilers and instead likes to be surprised. You get your box, you excitedly open it and this cream is spilled inside the box and you’re severely allergic to an ingredient in it. Something like that is a possibility. Lots of ppl purposely avoid spoilers. Lots of ppl receive heavily damaged boxes. I don’t have any idea what a pistachio vanilla blended cream smells like so if it had spilled in my box en route I wouldn’t know if it was the cream or another product. Just have a little empathy for ither people please. Kindness doesn’t cost you anything. It doesnt hurt you to be kind to others, but it does hurt others when you aren’t kind to them.

Just checked the Sol de Janeiro website FAQs, and they state there are no traces of nuts in the fragrance. Just FYI 🙂

I agree that Boxycharm can’t watch out for everyone’s allergies – it’s your job as an adult to read labels if you have a severe allergy, or even have someone else open the box if you’re afraid of touching it. Bum Bum cream is hugely popular and probably 95+% of the subscribers are very happy to get it.
But…there’s a nicer way to say it than “the box isn’t catered to only you.” Try making being nice to people a higher priority in your life. You might be pleasantly surprised how it comes back to you.

Allergies ARE a big deal. Luckily I’m only allergic to shellfish , but even a product touching another could cause a reaction. I had steak which the cooks let a lobster tail touch , I ended up in the ER with my throat closed due to contamination!! It’s extremely scary, someone who I guess does not have allergies ould not think of that or someone else who has them.

First off, don’t be nasty. That’s not nice. Secondly, it should have occurred to boxy that there could be a potential allergen situation here. What if the cream spills and contaminates her box? When she opens it she could go into anaphylaxis. I think she should contact boxy with her concerns so that they consider potential allergens in the future. Tree but allergies tend to be really severe.

I -really- hope I don’t get that OFRA lipstick — not that I think it probably isn’t amazing, but I have SO MUCH of that color it isn’t even funny, lol. Anyway, I’m super pumped about this box, especially the eye-shadow palette. My only worry is that there is -another- shipping error. I’ve had one box show up with only one item (looked like someone opened and resealed) and then a box just not show up at all. Boxy has sent me replacement boxes, which I am grateful for (and I realize the issue isn’t on their end) but I hate waiting so long to get my box. This will be my fourth box, and I said if there was another issue I was just going to cancel because the hassle isn’t worth it and seriously, how many more times is Boxy going to give me a replacement box? Not their fault — I even tried different addresses the first and second time it happened. It’s been a bummer. It’s funny though, I had ipsy for years and it comes in a BRIGHT PINK package and never once did I lose one.

You’re very lucky with ur ipsy. I had it for 2 yrs but cancelled last month. I had paid for 3 months worth before my first bag arrived (for my second acct). Yes they sent replacements but those are the ones I finally got. The original ones are still saying that they are at the dhl facility…since April 8th. Luv boxycharm… I’ve only had it for 4 mo now but its been right on time every month and doesn’t deal with dhl (such a huge and awesome difference). And so worth the money! Even when having ipsy and play (basically the same price combined as just boxy alone) boxy rocks it.

I agree with Kristen. You need to contact the postmaster in your area. Someone is opening and stealing items from your box. Tampering with mail is a federal offense.
And on a positive note, I am thrilled with this month’s Boxycharm! It just keeps getting better with every spoiler. I really wasn’t blown away last month, but this one makes up for it. I cannot wait to get it!

Agreed on the OFRA LipColor. I have so many of those dull muted rusted Orange colors. They just aren’t for me. As for the missing item & boxes, Id take the issue to your local post office. With Smart Post tracking they should be able to pin point who “delivered” your tampered/missing boxes & at minimum question the courier. You shouldn’t have to miss out on such a great thing bc someone else is skimming off the top of yours! Good Luck!

I absolutely Love that Boxycharm is now doing the boxes where everyone gets ALL of the same great main products each month and there are far fewer variations. And those are only of the smaller items like the lippies.
I’m super excited to get the Luxie brushes this month. It’s one brand of brushes that I don’t have any of. I’ve heard so many great things about them, so it will be fun to give them a try.
And 6 products again this month? WOW….how cool is that ! ! ! !

I have both gotten Luxie brushes in subscriptions as well as purchased a number of styles…and they are ALL terrific quality. If a brush arrives in some sort of condition you didn’t anticipate (one of mine was bent) they immediately send you a replacement ALONG with a number of their other brushes as a thank you.
They are my favorite brush brand and I will stick with them until either I or they die. 😎

I’ve gotten the mini luxie travel set and fluffy luxie brush in the pink and rose gold from Boxycharm, and out of all the brushes I’ve ever gotten (from boxycharm or bought myself) they are my absolute FAVORITE! I’m so excited!!

Around the first week of the month if you’ve paid in the first few days. It takes mine till around the 20th to get to me in california on average.
The Girlactik shade “Demure” I received a few months is awesome. It’s always in my purse now. Hopefully I get the same one again.

A $20 bum bum cream?? If every subscriber gets it I’m sure there will be some ridiculously happy subscribers! I’m not a fan of the scent since it gives me a headache but the swapsite will be thrilled if those showed up lol
