Colorescience Sunforgettable Brush-on Sunscreen SPF 50 Medium – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $65!

This is a powder sunscreen that can be worn alone or over makeup. It comes with a built-in brush to dispense the powder, too:

(For the first time you use it, make sure to swirl the brush on your wrist to get the powder moving!) The powder goes on sheer (I couldn't really notice any pigment once applied to my skin), so this isn't a product for foundation coverage, but it's great to add sunscreen post-makeup, and for touchups throughout the day. It didn't mess up my makeup at all, and it was so easy to apply.

($65 seems like a lot of this, so we'll see how long it lasts, but I definitely love this for keeping in your purse and making sure you are always covered!)

Nia 24 Sun Prevention 100 Percent Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $49

Full-size sunscreen is almost unheard of in subscription boxes (I'm thinking of all those tiny COOLA samples), so I was thrilled to see two full-size sunscreen items in this box! This face + neck sunscreen from NIA 24 is oil-free and designed to help improve the appearance of skin, and addition to providing SPF 30.

It goes on white, absorbs pretty quickly, and gives your skin a slight sheen.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream – 24 ml Value $10

If you haven’t tried Bum Bum cream yet, it’s pretty amazing. First, the Pistachio + Salted Caramel fragrance is amazing! The formula absorbs quickly, is super moisturizing, and has the added benefit of making your skin look tighter – perfect for legs!

This is a baby version of the Bum Bum cream, which is super cute, and probably good for a few uses. Here it is in my hand to give you a better sense of scale:

Alterna CAVIAR Anti-Frizz Blowout Butter – .85 oz Value $5.78

Alterna and Living Proof are my two favorite haircare brands (they are both ingredient-conscious and their products smell amazing), so I was happy to see this blowout butter in the box! It's designed to help fight frizz and make hair softer, smoother, and shinier. (Plus it has heat protection.) You can use a bit on damp hair before blowdrying, and it even worked for me on dry hair as a hair cream.

Dermalogica Bio-Luminc Serum – .1 oz Value $8.70

This serum is designed to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and firm skin.

This formula is SO lightweight and gentle! It absorbs almost instantly, too. The sample size should last at least a week, too, so I'm hoping to get a glimpse of some results!

ShaveWorks The Cool Fix - 1 oz Value $6

This gel/lotion remind me a bit of aloe-vera based post-sun products - it's so cooling and soothing. You apply it to skin after shaving or waxing, and it helps prevent ingrown hairs, razor bumps, and razor burn. The scent probably falls more into the category of men's grooming (this product is for men, too), and I am someone who usually likes men's cologne more than women's perfume, so this scent works for me! (And most importantly, the formula actually works!)

Juliette Has a Gun Moscow Mule Perfume 1.7 ml Value $3.40

This is a citrusy, floral, and woody fragrance with notes of ginger, lime, and jasmine. I'm pretty picky when it comes to perfume (I don't like most scents) but this one is lovely!

Jane Iredale Flirt LipDrink Deluxe – .05 oz Value $6.07

This adorable little lip balm gives just a hint of color (you can apply this without a mirror) and lots of moisture and a little sheen. (And as someone who loses every single lip balm she owns before they are empty, a mini lip balm is basically the same value as the full size!)

Verdict: This box has a value of about $153.95! That's an incredible value for a $24.95 box! This feels like the perfect summer box for me. And I can't believe we got two full-size sunscreens plus a Bum Bum cream!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! As of today, 6/17, this box is still available and will be your first box when you subscribe. Click here to get this box!

I looked for an expiration date on the Colorscience brush and could not find one, however, it does have the numbers 1217 on both the box and the brush. Has anyone researched to see if this is expired… because using expired sunscreen is no bueno.

So excited to receive my box!! The powder sunscreen was what made me re-up my subscription. My dermatologist recommended the ColoreScience powder to ensure I’m covered in this strong Texas sun. I was a bit hesitant to pay full price, but having that product and so many other amazing ones in one of my favorite boxes is a steal. Happy to be back in the Beauty Fix family!

For anyone concerned about darker skin not working with the medium tone powder, it has actually worked great on my medium brown skin tone (Indian) which has darkened significantly in the last two weeks, and it has worked both before and after. Was worried about this and know that others were too, so thought I’d share that!

Love this box!! Got it for a birthday present for myself and couldn’t be happier!! I’m hooked on this box now.

I love everything in this box. I’ve already almost used up the hair caviar…I just ordered some similar hair products so I’m thinking about ordering this when they run out…got compliments on how shiny my hair was after I used it. I burn so easily so I really appreciate the sunscreen products. The serum is nice. I don’t wear perfume cause it gives me migraines but I even like the perfume. The only thing I haven’t tried yet is the shaving gel but will use it soon.

Are there any coupons for first time subscribers?

Not currently, sorry!

Damn. I wish that I had seen this before I re-upped by subscription. Long-time Beauty Fix fan here whose subscription lapsed when my credit card did. Their systems are pretty wonky and I had trouble adding my new card. Finally had to create an entirely new account with a different email address. This is not the best box for me to start back with. But oh well. Normally this is one of my all time favorite subscriptions.

This box was awesome! Best box I’ve gotten from Beauty Fix 🙂

Does anyone know if the brush on the sunscreen is natural or synthetic?

Reply ButtonReply

Jacki

It feels synthetic.

Reply ButtonReply

Heather K

The brush on the powder sunscreen was kind of rough. My face itched in a few spots where I must have gotten a bit overexiberant with it.

Reply ButtonReply

Monika

I agree, the brush is very harsh. I have been unscrewing the back and using a different brush to apply the powder.

Reply ButtonReply

Kirsten

I ran into the same problem! Where did they find that brush?! I use another brush as well. I’m amazed at how universal the color ended up being (a very pleasant surprise).

Gina

This is my 2nd box from Beauty Fix & I absolutely love it. Everything in the box is high end & to get 2 full size sunscreen products in June is awesome. My youngest daughter (10) is extremely sensitive to sunscreen & we are loving the ingredient conscious formulas of the products included this month. The bum bum cream is amazing.

Loved my box very happy with it.

I just discovered beauty boxes like 1.5 months ago, and of all the ones I’ve subscribed to (Ipsy, Birchbox, Look Fantastic, BoxyCharm, etc.) this is the one where I got the most excited and where I’ve used all the products within the span of a day. I don’t love the smell of the lip balm, but everything else I love! This is also the year I get serious about sunscreen, so I’m very happy with both these sunscreens (and the one I got from FabFitFun too!)

Paula

The assortment and value of products in this box still continues to impress me. I’m still loving it! This is probably my fave.

Did anyone notice there was no product card in this month’s box? They normally have one every month, don’t they?

Reply ButtonReply

Jacki

I noticed that. I figured there was a discrepancy in a product size or something like that and they don’t want a repeat of the PTR.

Reply ButtonReply

shari

I did not get a product card either, didn’t realize I would actually miss it, but wanted to read up on a product and thought I misplaced it 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

COURTNEY

They said on their IG that they had difficulty with printing this month and they emailed subscribers an email instead with code too! I got one.

MinnePuffin

I really loved this box, but I had quite the reaction to the ShaveWorks. I was bummed because I thought it seemed like a great addition! As soon as I put it on, it started stinging, then burning until in washed it off. It left my leg (I only got it on part of one) red and inflamed. It felt and looked like a chemical burn. My leg scabbed up pretty quickly and is healing fine though.

Let me be your reminder to do a test spot of anything new!

I was surprised to see the instructions on the back of the bottle to apply generously after shaving, which I think sounds like they’re recommending you use it immediately after shaving. A little further down on the label it notes that the product contains an alpha hydroxy acid…applying an acid to your skin right after exposing fresh new skin and inducing some microdamage YIKES 😳 that’s gonna burn like crazy 🔥🔥🔥

I’ve used products designed to treat ingrown hairs before but I learned my lesson in a hurry to wait a few days after one use immediately post-shaving/waxing. In my experience these products work well to treat ingrown hairs and even to prevent them with regular use, but they’re much more tolerable if used a couple days after hair removal.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I wouldn’t be surprised if alcohol is one of the first ingredients on this, because I recently finished up a full-sized bottle (suckered by a sales rep stating it’d be perfect for after shaving legs) and a deluxe-sample of this product (got in an Ulta gwp), and I only used it on my legs after shaving, and even though I couldn’t see any knicks it still stung in a few places, fortunately for me for only a few seconds, and it was not moisturizing whatsoever, so I always had to follow up with a body lotion after letting this product set for a few minutes. This is one of those products I’d use again if I received it in a gwp or box (looks like I’ll be using it again soon!), but I’d never buy it.

Reply ButtonReply

Becky

O my goodness me too! I was so excited as lately I’ve had the odd ingrown eyebrow for some reason.
I used it just above my eyebrow hahah the whole brow went bright red then dry to coarse and then cracked and bled over a period of 3 days.
I look awful without concealer and brow pencil. My kids keep looking at me like I’m an alien.
Will not be using again! Yep spot test indeed reminder number 2. I wish I’d read your post before trying mine.

Love Beautyfix, but this was their worst box ever… straight to the trash. Fingers crossed for a recovery next month…

Reply ButtonReply

LA

Yea, wow. Threw it out? A full size of that Dermalogica is 87.00! sheesh. You can always donate, use them as extras in gifts or stocking stuffers, bring them to your office for co-workers…anything.

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle Bross

Your hard to please. This box was amazing. Maybe you just need to buy your own products. Gosh some people…

Reply ButtonReply

shari

Gee Jennifer if you were just going to trash it I would of bought it from you LOL

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie

No kidding. That can not be for real. Even if there’s some products that don’t work for someone, certainly you can gift to a friend, or donate to a women’s shelter. Trash it? Wasteful.

TK

I always love this box! The lip drink is my favorite this month. The tiny size is perfect for a pocket or small purse. I wish I could buy more of the tiny size.

Reply ButtonReply

MinnePuffin

Same here! I love that tiny size. It works great for summer when I’m often wearing leggings or shorts with that little key pocket. So nice for an SPF lip balm.

Reply ButtonReply

Emily

Mine was broken 🙁

MeowKitty

I LOVE that the Jane Iredale lippie has sun protection too! I was looking for something to wear on this sunny day (since I burnt my lips yesterday). This is perfect! Beauty Fix is killing it with this sun care box. I am very pale (N4) and used the powder sunscreen and it looked good on me, which I was not expecting since it is medium color.

Christina

Can I sign up for annual and cancel after first month if I change my mind?

Reply ButtonReply

Christina

Oh yeah, I guess that’s what I meant! Thanks!

Reply ButtonReply

R

I don’t think there is any option for annual subscriptions. What I usually do is wait until I see the full spoilers (or at least some product reveals), sign up for the monthly, and cancel before the billing date (usually the first of the month) when I know I won’t need any product for a while.

Reply ButtonReply

Barb

I haven’t ever seen an annual subscription for this one. It’s a month to month sub that you can cancel any time.

Reply ButtonReply

Claudia

I love this box. Month after month BeautyFix sends out some fun products. This is one of the few subs I haven’t cancelled.

Reply ButtonReply

Rookala

This is my favorite BeautyFix box yet. I’m using all the products and the two sunscreens came along at just the right time, when I’m spending lots of time outside gardening. This curation is a big win for me. What a value, too ~ WOW ~ loving everything!

Reply ButtonReply

VA

This was the perfect box for me and I will use every product in here while I’m on vacation this summer!

Reply ButtonReply

Kris

I received this box, but haven’t used the Nia face/neck sunscreen yet. Can anyone please tell me if leaves an oily residue? I have really oily skin and do not want to add more shine to my face, especially with the crazy temps and high humidity that we’re having in Kansas! Thanks in advance for your help!

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie Briskey

It’s not oily, but it’s a physical sunscreen so sits on top of the skin. I have dry skin and it left me a bit dry, and didn’t work great under makeup, but it is highly effective! Will probably work better for oilier skin.

Reply ButtonReply

It does not leave an oily residue. At first it appears white on the skin but gently disappears. It is quite matte, although I prefer a shiny glow on my skin as I am 62. I absolutely love this subscription!

Reply ButtonReply

Tanya M.

A gentle reminder that some 60+ skin still requires Matte…lol

Jamie

This box is truly amazing! I still get excited when I browse through it, deciding what I want to open next. Even if you only like half the items in the box the value is still incredible! (I love them all though!) I wish I would of signed up my mom for this one, too! That JI lip drink is amazing, smells wonderful and really does moisturize! The caviar hair stuff did wonders for my hair, kept it smooth so I didn’t need to brush often and not greasy even two days later! I haven’t tried Either sunscreen yet, but plan to use NIa today.

Reply ButtonReply

Mel

I loved this box. I’m happy to hear the powder sunscreen doesn’t have a pigment. I will take it off of swaps. The shave gel is pretty amazing. I love she smell, too. The lip balm is great, it the darn thing broke on me. Boo! Guess it got too warm in my pocket.

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie Briskey

um it does have a pigment. If you use enough to get even close to the stated protection, it is a pretty heavy color. If you dust on lightly it doesn’t show, but then that’s not giving you the 50 spf. I wouldn’t count on this for full sun protection, but I do like it for touchups.

Reply ButtonReply

Poppy

Stephanie is right. It comes in three colors (the box came in medium). I find it difficult to apply enough to get enough to protect me from the sun, so no way would this be my regular sunscreen. But it is so nice to have an easy-to-apply powder for touchups because I’m always worried that blotting will take off sunscreen.

Michelle Bross

Maybe I didn’t get heavy enough with it. There was absolutely no color for me. I just opened it yesterday though and used it through out the day for touch ups.
