Trunk Club is a clothing styling service for both men and women. Subscribers work closely with their stylist to find a selection of pieces to try on at home, and they receive a trunk shortly thereafter. Trunks can be ordered as often as you like, so you can try it once, or have a trunk sent to you quarterly or monthly. Or even more frequently!
Trunk Club is a Nordstrom company, and they send similar brands that range in the $75-300 range. In the style profile, you can choose your preferred price range for each category (ie. $50-100, $100-200, or $200+)
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Trunk Club Plus Clothing April 2018 Review
So first, a little more about how Trunk Club works: When I signed up, I took a pretty lengthy style questionnaire online. Then I was matched with a stylist who asked me even more about what I like and what I was looking for via an online chat. Based on this information, she selected several items for me to try on at home. She then sent me a link to preview all my items! There is also an option to allow your stylist to send a few surprise pieces.
This packet was included in my trunk.
The front of the enclosed booklet now has instructions!
Inside is a note from my stylist, Maureen. She has been my stylist for a few months now, and I really like how easy it is to chat with her via the app! She is super accessible.
This is my invoice. It lists the items I was sent and the cost to keep each item. My $25 styling fee will be deducted from anything I decide to keep.
These items were also in the packet. When I've finished repackaging the items I don't want to keep in the box, I just put this return label on it and use the tape straps to tape it back up! So convenient!
Bemuse Crossbody by Hobo - Cost to keep $118
I don't quite know what to say about this bag... It's my first experience with Hobo brand, and I'm a little disappointed, to be honest. I just have never felt leather that feels like faux leather before. It almost feels like vinyl. The design is also not really well executed, either. The front flap is a little misaligned. I really like the lining, though.
'Bandwagon' 51mm Polarized Sunglasses by Le Specs - Cost to keep $69
These shades, on the other hand, are super cute! You can see me wearing them in the pictures below. They are also polarized, which really helps cut down the glare on sunny days.
Tie Front Tank by Caslon - Cost to keep $69
Tie front tops seem to be all the rage this season! I never thought I could really wear one, but I like this tank a lot! It's also a super lightweight cotton and it feels fantastic. It's perfect for summer!
Straight Leg Ankle Pants by Sejour - Cost to keep $89
These pants are a cotton blend, but with a mix of rayon and spandex, so they actually still feel kind of like polyester to me. These are a good length! They fit well, but I don't know if I really need navy slacks right now. They are comfortable, though!
Maggie Twist Hem Top by Gibson x Living in Yellow - Cost to keep $48
This polyester chiffon top is just a wee bit small on me. Since it is May, and I live in Georgia, I am also not really in the market for long sleeves at the moment. It is a cute print, though!
Becca Tank Dress by Gibson x Living in Yellow - Cost to keep $64
I really like this little shift dress! It's so cute! It is a similar polyester material as the blouse above, but in a sleeveless garment, it does not feel too hot. I like the print and the colors, and I think if I put on a pair of Spanx this would look great.
Textured Grid Ruffle Drop Shoulder Blouse by Vince Camuto - Cost to keep $89
This top has a lot going on! It's a cool color and a very airy, lightweight crepe material. It also has a very slight grid pattern, which is a fun contrast to the ruffle sleeves. I think this is just a bit too dramatic for my tastes. I also prefer a more open neckline.
Cutout Shoulder Floral Print Lace Dress by Gabby Skye - Cost to keep $108
I have to say, Gabby Skye makes some really pretty dresses! This is so feminine! I love the tiny print, too. I just don't know if it looks good on me. I don't think it's super flattering. It's very well made, though, with a polyester lining and lace overlay.
High/Low Crinkle Top by Dantelle - Cost to keep $54
The polyester blend crinkle material in this top feels really strange! It's pretty cool, actually. Otherwise, I don't think this top is very flattering either. It may be high/low, but both sides are too long for me, I'm afraid.
Floral Print Tie Waist Dress by GLAMOROUS - Cost to keep $75 (on sale for $44.98!)
This dress is so pretty! It's also really stylish and unique! I think it would look amazing with a big hat! I love the cut and the print. I really like the colors too! My only reservations are that it's long sleeved and polyester, so it will probably be too hot soon. That, and the neckline is a bit too plunging for my tastes. Currently debating this one!
Floral Futter Top by Lucky Brand - Cost to keep $79.50
Lucky Brand is probably my favorite clothing line of all times, and this top is a great example of why! It is polyester but has a silk feel. It also has stylish detailing around the neckline and empire waist. This is not my all-time favorite color, but it's still very cute! I love the boho aesthetic!
The Verdict: I am a big fan of Trunk Club! This month was a mixture of hits and misses, as usual, but I really love the Lucky Brand top! I also really like the pink dress, but I just can't decide! I think Trunk Club is a little on the spendy side, but it's still loads of fun to try all the pieces!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $25 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the 6 items inside is $862.50. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep anything, the $25 cost of the box would also be applied to the purchase. That's an average $78.41 an item, which is on par with the brands included.
