Star Wars Smugglers Bounty was part of Funko’s subscription box model – but will now be sold on a one-off first-come-first-served basis in Summer 2018. This is a review of the past-subscriber-only on-off Solo box.

Please Note: All Funko boxes have now stopped sending via recurring subscription. Find out more in this post.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

About Smuggler’s Bounty

The Box: Star Wars Smugglers Bounty

Please Note: Funko has ended their subscription option for these boxes. The new exclusive store to purchase this line has yet to be revealed.

The Products: Each box includes exclusive collectible product created by Marvel/Star Wars & Funko including apparel, collectibles, and accessories worth $50.

Solo Smuggler’s Bounty Review

The latest one-off box from Smuggler’s Bounty was all about Solo.

Pin – Value $5?

In the beginning, you could always expect both a patch and a pin. Recently, they’ve been testing new product lines and the patch and pin where question marks. Anyways, this month does include an Efny’s Nest character pin – someone I know nothing about at this point!

Han Solo & Chewbacca POP – Value $30 on POP Price Guide

By far, the highlight of the box is this 2-piece Han and Chewy set.

I’ve yet to see the new movie, but I’m sure we’ll see this scenario play out on screen. They’ve been doing such a great job at exclusives for these boxes.

Unsurprisingly, there are already a lot of POPs to got after for Solo – and I’m sure more to come.

Lando Mystery mini – Value $12 on POP Price Guide

This is an exclusive variant of the Lando mystery mini figure – and let’s be honest, we all want more Lando.

The Star Wars mystery mini lines now arrive on this little platform – which I think is great, there have been a number of times where I couldn’t get a mystery mini to stand on its own.

Mud Trooper Hat – Value $15?

The next item in the box is a Mud Trooper hat.

It’s a snapback hat with a graphic on the back. I’m already interested to see how the Mud Troopers fare in the movie.

The brim even has a little extra flair on the bottom.

Phaser Keychain – Value $5?

The final item is a vinyl phaser keychain. it’s about 3 inches wide and very flexible – which can be nice if you have a lot of keys.

Verdict: I’m always in this just for the exclusive POPs – but I also really enjoyed the mystery mini and little keychain this month. I think, overall, they did a good job with items for the Solo box.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No – all subscriptions are now closed. You can buy the past-subscriber-only one-off Revenge of the Sith box until July 15th – after that, the box will be available through an exclusive retailer that is TBD.

Coupon – There are no coupons available for Smuggler’s Bounty.
