PinkSeoul Mask Box April 2018 Review

Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type so be sure to figure out your skin type.

Here is the info sheet detailing the products.

Leaders Aqua Shield Gold Foil Sheet Mask – Estimated Value $2.80 (buy a pack of 10 for $27.99), Listed Value $5

This mask is awesome. It was very hydrating and the gold foil kept the mask from feeling too wet. It fit my face well and was comfortable to wear. It left a lot of serum on my face after I took it off, but that absorbed quickly and didn’t leave me sticky. I would purchase this in the future.

Leaders Black Pore Advanced Sheet Mask

Leaders Black Pore Advanced Sheet Mask – Retail Value $5, Listed Value $4

Leaders Pore Advanced Sheet Mask – Estimated Value $2.40 (buy a pack of 10 for $24, found here for $16.99), Listed Value $4

These two make were great for my oily skin, and the black pore mask was actually black! My only complaint is that this didn’t reach to my jawline by my ears where most of my acne pops up, but it was still a nice mask that left me feeling smooth and oil-free.

Natural Friend Posoo Mask – Estimated Value $2.85 (Buy a pack of 10 for $28.50), Listed Value $4

I love this little baseball guy on the front of this mask, and the mask came with a plastic backing making it super easy to unfold. This mask was really cooling while also being hydrating, and it was probably one of the most pleasant masks in the bunch.

Tony Moly Pureness 100 Placenta Sheet Mask – Estimated Value $4 (buy a 2-pack for $8)

Tony Moly Pureness 100 Caviar Sheet Mask – Estimated Value $4 (buy a 2-pack for $8)

Tony Moly Pureness 100 Propolis Sheet Mask – Estimated Value $4 (buy a 2-pack for $8)

I was wary when I saw that placenta was one of the masks included, but that mask is derived from plants and is mammal free! I liked how wide these masks were, as they fit my face well. These were all very cooling and soothing, and I enjoyed the faint honey smell with the propolis mask.

JayJun Purple fragrance mask

JayJun Purple Fragrance Mask – Retail Value $4

I was nervous to put a “fragrance” mask on my face, and the light perfume smell out of the packaging didn’t really assuage my concerns. However, once on you can’t really smell anything, and the flower extracts helped my skin look a touch brighter. The texture of this mask was really neat— it felt like a stingray if you’ve ever felt one at the zoo or aquarium. I know that sounds weird but it is the first thought that popped into my head when taking it out of the packaging.

Natural Friend Moisture Nanocell Mask

Natural Friend Moisture Nanocell Mask – Estimated Value $2.85 (Buy a pack of 10 for $28.50), Listed Value $4

This mask was unscented and was slightly stiffer than your regular sheet mask, and that stiffness made it easier to apply to my face. This was hydrating without being too wet, which is always a plus.

A’pieu Cucumber Slice Mask – Retail Value $1.50 (found here for $0.75), Listed Value $3

This mask is awesome! Instead of being a regular sheet mask there are 12 cucumber slices made of sheet mask material that you can put over your face and body for some moisture and enjoyment. Another thing I liked about these slices is they didn’t leave my skin feeling wet once I took them off. I put four on my face and eight on my neck and chest, and the light cucumber scent is pleasant and the slices continue to be cooling as I wore them— this would be great to use after coming home from being outside in the heat.

Tony Moly Bunny Facial Mist, 60 ml

Tony Moly Bunny Facial Mist, 60 ml – Retail Value $15

This bunny facial mist is adorable and you can use it to set your makeup, add a boost of hydration, or sooth your face thanks to the aloe vera. There is a very light fruity scent, which makes this mist even more refreshing.

The Verdict: Opening a box full of ten masks is always a bit overwhelming, but broken down over the course of the month that is a different mask every three days. I enjoyed all of the masks included, but the cucumber slices and the gold foil mask were definitely the highlights— I would buy them both in the future. Even going by the cheaper prices I found the masks for and not the listed price, the masks alone retail for $34.55, and that is before the value of the facial mist is worked in. I am happy with that in a $29.99 box that doesn’t promise a retail value.

The Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The April box is no longer available,  but you can subscribe to the June box here.
