Pearlesque Box May 2018 Review
This month’s featured brand is Delia Organics.
Delia Organics was created to not only to enhance your natural beauty but also to get your skin to the highest form of health it can be. Formulated with plant and fruit-based ingredients, you can be sure you will see results within your first time experiencing Delia Organics. We care about the health and wellness of every individual and we created Delia Organics to help with all different skin concerns.
The other side lists the four products included, how to use them, and the retail price. They also include several #pearltips.
Let’s see what we got!
Delia Organics Lip Nectar, 0.33 oz. – Retail Value $19.99
I was really excited to see a rather unique item since I’ve been getting Pearlesque Box. I don’t get many lip products in general with this one and haven’t received a lip oil before so this is a nice surprise! I am pretty obsessed with anything lip-related and always have at least three products in my purse at all times. This lip oil comes in a convenient roller ball bottle that makes it easy to apply. Since I’m used to balms, having this light oil made from pumpkin seed oil, grapeseed oil, lemon essential oil, sweet orange essential oil, and lavender essential oil is a new experience. Even though there are three essential oils in this, the scent is extremely light and not perfumey at all. It takes a bit for this to soak in, but I apply it in the morning before any other lip products to get the moisture started. I need to try the #pearltip and pop this in the fridge for an extra boost in the am!
Delia Organics Body Tonic Oil Skin Remedy Blend, 2 oz. – Retail Value $22.99
Another product that seems fairly rare is this body oil! A lot of skincare focuses on the face, but this “remedy blend” is for your whole body.
Formulated with Evening Primrose oil, which is a well known to contain high levels of linoleic and gamma-linolenic acids which are essential to healthy skin. This blend also contains Calendula oil which is a renowned skin care oil that helps to soften and soothe dry skin and scented with a special blend of the essential oils of Lavender, Geranium, Tea Tree and Roman Chamomile, this oil is truly a treat for the skin.
I’ve been slathering this onto my skin when I step out of the shower, targeting especially dry areas like my legs, elbows, and arms. I’ve noticed my skin feeling especially soft and hydrated on the days I use this oil. Like the lip oil, it needs time to penetrate my skin so I let it do that while I get ready for the day, before popping on my clothes.
Delia Organics Dose Of C Serum, 1 oz. – Retail Value $39.99
This milky-clear serum contains botanical hyaluronic acid which helps “lock in moisture” and 18% Vitamin C which is “necessary for the production of collagen”. The other key ingredient is MSM-Methylsulfonylmethane which occurs naturally in the human body and is “a beautifying mineral, and contributes to hair, skin, nail, and joint renewal and health”. The directions call for this to be applied after cleansing my face, and I do so with just about a dime-size amount squeezed from the dropper. I smooth it onto my face (working from the center-out) and allow it to soak in for about 15 minutes before applying my regular moisturizer although it does say that this can act as a light moisturizer itself. The long-term effects of this serum are supposed to brighten skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Basically, it’s giving your face a big ol’ concentrated dose of vitamin C to give you a youthful glow!
Delia Organics Lava Mint Bath Soak, 4 oz. – Retail Value $15.99
Another item I’m pleased to see is this jar of bath soak. I love taking baths, and mint along with lavender are two of my favorite scents. This simple mixture combines Epsom salts, dead sea salts, Himalayan pink salts, peppermint and lavender essential oils, and dried lavender. Talk about relaxing! This smells heavenly and immediately chills me out and resets my mood as I soak. If you can’t do a full bath, they also suggest this as a way to pamper your tired feet as a foot soak.
Verdict: I was happy to see a few different products in this month’s Pearlesque Box that I don’t already have! Though I love the serum and have been using it each morning, it was nice to finally receive a bath item, body oil, and specialized lip product! While taking care of my face is super important, it’s nice to focus on the rest of my body as well. This month’s box has a total value of $98.96, which is is more than double the $39.95 cost of the box (including free shipping).
