Now for the clothes!
Michel Studio by Addition Elle Side Ruched Asymmetrical Dress, Size L - Price to Keep $36.50
I am going to start off by saying that I am almost 4 months pregnant and was trying to find some styles that could work with my growing bump, but that I can also use after having the baby. I loved the look of this simple black dress because it has the cut of a wrap style without actually being a full-on wrap dress. I also loved the faux leather detail on the side! This dress really is perfect for me because it fits like a dream, it is super comfortable (made of viscose/elastane), and it will work pre and post-baby. I decided to order my usual size which was perfect, but I think if I wasn't pregnant I could have sized down to get that nice tailored look at the waist.
Hayden Los Angeles V-Neck Fit and Flare Dress in Navy Floral Print, Size L - Price to Keep $19.50
As you can see this dress did not fit me, which made me so sad because it is so lovely! With my bump, the dress appeared to be extremely short and the bust was a bit too tight. I know that this dress would have fit like a dream prior to baby number two, and the fabric is that perfect design for spring and fall! I could wear it now with booties on a cooler day, and then again in the fall with tights and knee-high boots. The polyester and spandex blend of the dress made it super stretchy and comfortable. I am going to dream about this dress for a long time to come!
Vince Camuto Gilded Diamonds Tie Cuff Blouse, Size L - Price to Keep $33
I really wanted to love this blouse, but the extra fabric on the sleeves was really a bit too much. The overall fit was amazing, made of polyester, it had a nice structured look that was also comfortable. The gold diamonds were subtle enough while still adding a little pop! Unfortunately, those sleeves just really got to me! They hung very low that I could see them getting in the way of day to day tasks, and they set on the back of my wrist which just felt uncomfortable. I didn't love how the extra fabric made the sleeves puff out at the forearm and below as well. While this blouse looked amazing on the model, I just didn't love the overall fit on me.
Loveappella Navy and White Surplice Maxi Dress, Size L - Price to Keep $38.50
Last but not least we have this maxi dress that is making me feel summer ready! I love maxi dresses for the summer, they are effortless and work well for me since I am taller. This dress has an elastic waist and the fabric is a rayon/spandex blend so it would work with my growing bump, but it is a style that I could see myself hanging onto over the years. The only thing that I don't love is the print of the dress, it is a bit busy from what I normally would purchase, but the fit is so great that I can look past that!
Verdict: This month was tricky only because of my growing baby bump, but I went into it knowing that I needed to be very selective of what I added to my bag. I also tried to size-up when I thought I would need a little extra wiggle room. All in all, this month wasn't a huge win for me, but I loved trying on pieces that I thought could work without having to leave the comfort of my home. Plus, returns are so easy, which makes trying new styles a breeze!
