CHC Vintage April 2018 Review

I am familiar with these smiley faces!

There isn’t a traditional information card or invoice included with the subscription box; you get a personalized handwritten card with styling suggestions instead. I love all the styling tips Nicole and her team included! Their selections for me are always incredibly thoughtful too.

Black Tennis Zip Up Dress, Size 16 - Retail Value Unavailable

Years ago, polo/tennis style dresses were a bit of a trend and I jumped on it hook, line, and sinker. They are staple pieces you can style in a variety of ways! I was excited to see this dress included this month because I know I will be able to get a ton of wear from it! Like Nicole and the CHC Vintage team said in their note, this dress is rather versatile and could work as a beach dress or swimsuit cover up! I also appreciated the info she included about the I.Maginn brand and how it was a store created by a woman in the 1870s in San Francisco! I love the Girl Power aspect of this dress’s history!

The dress has plenty of stretch. I am generally a size 20 in dresses these days, but this one was labeled as a size 16. More proof to ALWAYS try on pieces, you will be surprised what may fit you! I also love the zipper front because you can adjust it to show off as much or as little of your body as you like. I paired this dress with a necklace from CHC Vintage’s Accessory Box (review soon to come!) and my new favorite open tow, low heeled sandals. I can imagine wearing these with some red Ked sneakers, a leopard print head scarf, and cat-eye sunglasses on a warm summer day. This also will be a comfortable dress to wear to my office job! What a great addition to my wardrobe!

Verdict: I am rather pleased with the piece sent to me this month by the CHC Vintage team! I know I will get a ton of wear from it this summer, especially on my upcoming vacations. CHC Vintage has been styling me long enough that they truly understand my style and what appeals to me. Their box is one I always look forward to because its personalization makes it feel like receiving a care package from a best friend! I also am consistently impressed with the quality vintage they send me in plus sizes! All bodacious babes know how brutal it can be sifting through racks of clothes at the thrift store. It is brutal finding great pieces above a size 14! CHC does the legwork and finds the best plus size vintage pieces just for me! I can’t suggest their service enough!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? CHC Vintage curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. As soon as I saw the I. Magnin label I thought, “Dang, girl! You fancy.” The were way ahead on the dress with pockets game. It’s really cute and I can see you putting together some fantastic looks with this.
