The theme for the May 2018 Boxycharm is:

The May box will include:

CoverFX Blurring Primer - Retail Value $38
Pretty Vulgar The Ink Gel Eyeliner - Retail Value $24
Pur Cosmetics Item - TBD
And a Brush Set (not sure if there will be variations, but one version is pictured below)

Next, thanks to MSA reader and super sleuth Rebeca, we have a pretty good idea of what the Pur item might be. Not sure if this will be a variant, or in a future box instead of the May box, but according to Pur Cosmetics, this will be in a future Boxycharm box:

What day is your box usually delivered? I want to order for my daughter‘s birthday but I want to make sure that it gets to her on time

I love all these brands and am excited for this months box. It would be nice if they would have a nice brush cleaner in one of the coming months boxes. I would be so happy about that. Does anyone else feel that way too, or just me?

I would love to get marc jacobs, hourglass, m.a.c., tarte, two faced (not that evil goopy latex discontinued lip goop) , Tom ford, fenty

Would love an hour glass ambient blush or even bronzer (even though I don’t use bronzer, but would love to try that) or their blur powder

Also some setting spray, primer spray, setting powder, blush pallettes that are good.

Even if the name brands were the small quad eyeshadow etc would be great to try and play with.

I’ve even seen good esty brands where people make makeup and some of them look really good and have good reviews.

I don’t get box themes.,,but I guess if it makes the box companies happy, so be it. Lol

I suppose, in theory it gives the creative types something to use as a base for choosing items.

Sephora Play! does that too, and it’s kind of hit or miss.

P.s. I am hoping the contour pallette skips me.. I don’t even know anybody whom would use it to pass it along too. I still have the last real her one they sent unopened from the last time. Wish we would get some great fenty, tom ford, marc jacobs, more m.a.c. , some hourglass etc even two faced, (anything but that nasty sticky goop melted lipstick..looking at tribe) even more tarte pallettes of some sorts. Even small eye quards, blush, setting spray, setting powder, blurring powder (like hourglass) I would LOVE an hourglass ambient blush or even bronzer ( I don’t bronze but would be excited for this lol)

There’s two more big price item products? I don’t see the spoilers adding up to 170+. So I’m excited to see what’s next. A 100.00 Palette? It is the 5 th anniversary of BC.

Assuming that the information is correct and everyone get the Asthetica brush set valued at $45 plus the rest of the spoilers: The Pur Highlight and Contour is $30, Cover Fx Primer $38, PV ink is $24 that would be a total of 138 value. Meaning there are two items left that will have a value of at least $33 given that they announced the box will have 6 items this month.

To me the theme mean nothing. I don’t see the point in a theme box unless the box is going to be specific in some way. Like PURely PURfect (all PUR products). Anyways… this is my last box and I can’t wait to get it.

I love boxycharm but I actually kept the collaboration of boxycharm and pur instead of swapping it and I kind of hate it. Fallout and to get the pigment that we saw on the swatches I would have to use half the pan of shadow. I just want one PURless box! (The was the shadow palette with the bright blue one)

Completely agree! I signed back up to get that box because I loved the soiree diaries palette we got so much and I was SO disappointed in the collab. Bad pigment, terrible fallout, hard to blend :/ Last month’s box made up for it though, have to say. Loved everything in it.

I use a mixing medium with my eyeshadows so no fallout or pigment problems with any palette. I did notice that anything with glitter had bad fall out before i starting using the mixing medium.

I do love my Pur Palette, Bae and Bff’s is a favorite combo for me. I do throw on some MIA or ATL sometimes as well.

Well, April had no PUR so you must have loved it I’m sure! I’ve enjoyed the PUR products I have received. Looking forward to May’s box!

Yeah it sucks because way back in September (if I remember correctly) that one pur palette that WASNT a collab was awesome. The quality of their items is all over the place :/

Maybe it was a little lacking since it was made for them ?? Even othe brands are hit or miss with palettes. Especially when they crank out so many. Like make less palettes and put more quality into things. I find this is happening with tarte and too faced etc. there might be a couple of good shadows and the others are fillers with the crappier ones. Everybody and their brother has a million palettes out now. Time to go back to singles with quality

Agreed. All of the “bargain” get this $200 value for $50 sets at Christmas are awful… especially tarte. Better to just watch sales during the year!
