Surprise Baby Box March 2018 Review

Eeboo Good Little Citizens (Protect the Earth)

Eeboo Good Little Citizens (Protect the Earth) – Retail Value $14.99

This is a part of a whole line of “good little citizens” plush dolls, apparently. This one’s focus is on protecting the Earth.

The cute part about this toy is that the box opens up into a little tea shop! Very cute, but I just have to say that the phrase “Good Little Citizen” kind of makes my skin crawl. Sounds a little condescending/propaganda-ish to me. Protecting the Earth is important, but the name of this toy line makes me cringe. Am I the only one?

Garanimals Baby Bath Finger Puppets

Garanimals Baby Bath Finger Puppets – Retail Value $11.99

My son loves these. They’re soft plastic but sturdy enough to keep their shape so they’re not hard for him to stick his fingers into and put on. They’re “bath toys” but really there’s nothing specifically bath-focused about them. They’re waterproof and float, but that’s just because they’re plastic.

Nickelodeon Paw Patrol Sunglasses

Nickelodeon Paw Patrol Sunglasses – Retail Value $5.99

I love getting sunglasses for Gideon in subscription boxes because we use them all the time and I love stashing some everywhere – a pair for my car, my purse, my parent’s house, etc.

They’re so cute!

Crazy 8 Striped Thermal Shirt, 3T – Retail Value $10.88 (found here for $4.99)

Yay for kids’ clothes in subscriptions boxes! This one is a comfortable thermal material. I love the style. It’s 3T which fits Gideon, with some room still to grow. The sleeves are nice and long, too, which is awesome for my tall kid.

(He needs a haircut so bad 🙈)

Verdict: I didn’t love my February Surprise Baby Box but this one had some great practical things and toys my son really liked. My favorite item is probably the sunglasses because I know they’ll get the most use when we’re outside this summer!

The Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you’ll receive a box curates specifically according to your child and profile preferences.

  • Shirt: $9.51

The name of this box makes me envision the women from I didn’t know I was pregnant ordering a box full of baby gear and supplies.

I also had the same feeling about the name of the toy. Just left me feeling unsettled, so I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who was less than excited about that particular toy. Still, I’ll be keeping an eye on this sub.

But on another note, your son is absolutely adorable!! And I definitely see you in him. So cute!

I agree about the Good Little Citizens thing. It’s just kind of cringey. Sounds like they are trying to teach great citizenship lessons, but it just doesn’t come across quite right. Especially because the first thing on the back is “Respect the law”. It’s just a harsh way of saying that to children.

Love the pic with the Garanimals! So cute.
