Rose War Panty Power April 2018 Review

Here's this month's welcome card. Its purple font is right in step with their new box redesign—I love, love, love all the purple!

As Christen indicated in her last review, The Rose War team was supposed to have checked off which 4 of the possible 7 gift options were included in my box this month (along with the tampons!). My card, unfortunately, turned up empty! But I was able to suss out which items I received (I think.)

Natracare Organic 100% Cotton Tampons with Applicator — Estimated Value $5.00 (Buy a 16-pack of regular size for 8.24, found here for $6.42)

This month, just like last month and months before that, I received a cute bundle of Natracare tampons. The total count was 9 Regular tampons and 3 Super tampons, all wrapped up with a cute bow. Each has cardboard applicators and braided string, and they were accompanied by a lengthy and helpful information pamphlet!

I love that even the individual packaging of each tampon is eco-friendly. These are feminine products you can feel good about using!

French Affair Lace Undies – Estimated Value $36.00

Now, for the UNDIEEEES! These. are. so. beautiful. I was unable to find the exact pair on French Affair's website, but was surprised to find that literally all of their panties were sold out! This is obviously a coveted brand, and I felt so lucky to receive a pair in this month's box.

The lace is really well-made and sturdy. It's a relief to know just from a glance that this dainty, sexy pair of underwear will last! I loved the small bow and the navy color, too. The back thong silhouette is entirely made of lace and UGH—it's just too good!

Youmita Lace Hipster Undies — Estimated Value $12.00

Last month's Rose War Panty Power box also included Youmita undies, but this month's looks to be even better quality! The texture of this pair is really dang soft, and the layers of lace atop the silhouette and on the trim are just dreamy. I love hipster underwear myself, so I can't wait to wear these!

This navy blue pair might not be great with a tight pair of jeans (due to likely panty lines because of the lace,) but honestly? I could care less about panty lines most of the time. If they're comfy: wear 'em!

L'océan Caviar Collagen Boosting Facial Serum – Estimated Value $10.00

The card included in this month's box says this facial serum is worth $55.00, but I think that's only applicable to larger bottles. I did a little Googling and found this 1 oz. bottle in the $10 - $12 range. The $55.00 value might have only been intended for VIP subscribers, as indicated on the card, so perhaps the rest of us got a mini version. It's super, super high quality, and feels really luxurious to apply!

You simply pump a drop or two to your palm and use your finger to apply it around your face and neck. It's said to stimulate cell regeneration to keep your skin feeling refreshed and restored, so I'm excited to see its effect!

Jelly Belly Mini Packs – Buy a 12.6 oz. bag for $10.99 here

Y'gotta have some sweets during your time of the month! Rose War always includes a small treat for a quick sugar fix. Jelly Belly beans have never been my favorite (I'm a chocolate FIEND over gummies any day!) but their cute presence was very appreciated. I'm a sucker for the sour gummies, myself, so those were gobbled up very quickly upon unpackaging. I estimated these two mini packs to clock in at about $1.50.

Entyze Cucumber Martini Eye Serum – Retail Value $14.99

I am ALL about under-eye care! The strong and wonderful women in my family are prone to under-eye bags, so I've always been curious about which eye products work and which are worth skipping. This one definitely feels like a winner.

Its rollerball application is instantly cooling, which apparently helps massage away bags, hydrate puffy eyes, and naturally slow down signs of aging. I'm always wary about "anti-aging" claims, but the immediately de-puff element of this serum cannot be denied. It works almost instantly and brings an immediately "refresh" feeling that feels great in the AM. I'm so excited to make this a regular in my morning routine!

JaidenMadison Scandalous Lip Gloss – Retail Value $20.00

I hope lip gloss never goes out of style. No matter how many YouTube lipstick tutorials I may fawn over, I'll always love the shiny simplicity of a quick coat of lipgloss! (Honestly...most days my only lip treatment is a quick coat of Vaseline. No joke.)

This gloss' easy applicator and rich Merlot hue are right up my alley! It doesn't apply too darkly, and I bet it could make a great top coat to some staple lipsticks or lip stains. Even better than the color is the fact that it's made with skin-friendly ingredients that add suppleness to parched lips. Cocoa Butter and Matcha Green Tea Butter are one of the main ingredients, which is awesome.

Verdict: This haul felt so LUXE! I was truly over-the-moon with every product I received in this month's Rose War Panty Power box. I often lust over makeup products but never take the plunge in purchasing them, so receiving such high-quality serums and skin treatments felt like such a luxury. And don't get me started again on the undies! They are TOO cute! They're understated, yet sultry, and I know they'll make me feel good each time I wear them. Love love love love!

With an estimated value of $99.49 (Jelly Bellys estimated at $1.50 and mini L'Ocean Serum estimated at $10.00) this box's $29.20 price is a steal!

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the May box. From Rose War Panty Power:

I received the same gloss and love the color and texture of it. The color is very close to MAC’s O lipstick color. Unfortunately the wand broke off and is now stuck in the tube. I love rwpp but was not happy to receive a defective item. 🙁

I appreciate the reply and will reach out JadienMadison. I really do love the color just like Katie. It truly is one of the better lip products I have tried so thank you for including them in this box.
Plus seeing that you reached out to make it better definitely makes me feel good in making future purchases! Thank you again.

Aw, bummer!! Man, I’m so sorry about that — I loved the color and texture too! I would definitely try and get in touch with RWPP. Every time something as arrived damaged in a subscription box the companies have always been SO accommodating in sending a replacement!

What age range did you select? This was my first box and the underwear I received was quite underwhelming.

Katie Martina

Hey there! This was the 23-29 age range box. I agree that the underwear has the potential to be a little underwhelming, but I do think quality can change from month to month. Last month’s Youmita undies weren’t as wow-worthy as the ones I received this month!

I am simply in love with rwpp…
Its like receiving birthday gift every month with the stuff I need. (Pads and panties….)

Right?! This was my first time receiving it and I cannot WAIT until next month! (I’m so bad about prioritizing makeup and skincare products in my budget. Getting it forcefully delivered is likely the only way I ever will build a collection! 😄)

I got my April box in and am rather disappointed, especially after seeing your review of the same of the same month! It looks like I got the lip gloss and a nail file. Nothing else. Hate the lip gloss color and not sure why someone would spend $17 on a nail file? I got a pack of 10 similar glass files for less than $5 at Sally Beauty just a month ago. I like the underwear, but definitely not worth the price I paid for this box.

Aw, darn it. I’m so sorry your experience wasn’t the best this month! This was my first time receiving this box, so I think I got very lucky with the products I received. I totally agree about the nail file — I’d be frustrated if I got that too! Hopefully next month makes up for it and then some 😊

I like this box. The 2 boxes I got all had useful items which is important to me in a sub.

I totally agree! I am so excited for next month 😄
